11 Chapter 11: Practice

(Don't have much to say other than updates will be rather slow, I made some mistakes in school so now I have to do it over the summer. Enjoy the chapter!)

The sun rays greeted my eyes when I woke up this morning. I'm going to be honest, I didn't even realize I fell asleep till I woke up. Though it's not an uncommon occurrence, it still felt unusual.

I decided that my goals for today would be to practice my quirk and plan what I was going to act out for the auditions. I figured that since my father is a hero, he might be able to help me out a bit with my training.

Apparently after I told mom about my quirk, she found time to tell my father all about it. No wonder he wasn't surprised by my new features.

I recently came to the shocking revelation that I have multiple trains of thought at once. Some times it's noticeable, others it's not. When I'm doing nothing at all, it's like a party in my brain. When I'm working, most of my focus is on what I was doing in that moment of time.

I honestly didn't know what to think. Is it normal to have different thoughts in the same moment? Thinking about this is giving me a headache.

I learned more about the auditions when signing up yesterday. Apparently it wasn't as simple as I made it out to be. Quite a miscalculation on my part. Turns out that viewers vote for the people they want to see more of and the judges make the final decisions. I suppose I didn't realize that.

I guess that means I should work hard to earn the interests of the viewers! Shouldn't be to difficult right? I mean, with my cute appearance and acting skills from my past life I should be okay, right?

Dismissing those thoughts from my mind, I kicked my blankets away and went over my desk to plan out what I was going to act.

****

'Knock, Knock'

I was pulled from away from my thoughts from the noise.

Turning around, I was greeting with the sight of my father. It's been quite awhile since I last saw him and the realization made me sad.

"Hey my cupcake, want to hang out with daddy today?" My father had a gentle smile on his face as he crouched down to my hight level and opened his arms for a hug.

I got out of my seat and crawled into my fathers arms. I buried my face into his shoulder and sighed in relaxation.

I missed my father. With all the villains roaming around lately, I haven't seen him as much as I would like.

"Daddy, can we train in my quirk today? I pulled my face away from his shoulder and gave him my best pleading look.

"How about later, I want to catch up with my darling daughter."

He set be back down and I went back to sit in my chair. My father sat down on my bedside and glanced at me.

"What's this I hear about auditions?" A curious look in his eyes.

A smile spread onto my face at his question. "I signed up for acting auditions! If I get votes and the judges approve, I get to be trained in acting and start an acting career!"

"Oh really? I thought you wanted to be a hero?" My father ran a hand through his white hair, moving it out of his face.

"Who said I can't be both?" A sassy tone slipped past my lips which didn't go unnoticed by my father.

My father turned to look at me with a raised eyebrow. "Would you look at that, you're just like your mother. In more ways than one."

Dismissing the comment. I turned back around and faced my notebook.

"Did you find out what you are going to act out for the viewers?" Turning back around to face him, I grinned.

I'll be honest, it took me a bit to figure out what I wanted. I had to factor in the possibilities of things in my world not existing in this one, and the age range of the scene and from what show it came from would be also. I'm a four year old so it would be really strange if I acted out a scene I have read or seen, but also a scene from something I shouldn't have seen in the first place.

The best thing I could think of was to act out a scene from a book I read in my past life. It was quite age appropriate. Even if this world didn't have the book, I could just pretend I made it up. Of course, I made sure to do my research before making any final decisions. I didn't want anything biting me in the a** later on.

"Want to hear it? I might as well get some practice in."

"Sure." My smiled at me.

I leaned over and grabbed my notebook from my desk. Flicking through the pages I found the one I needed. I smiled at my father before reciting my lines.

****

'Clap, Clap, Clap'

My father applauded me, tears streaming down his face. I didn't know if he was over reacting or not. I guess I shouldn't blame him. The over all mood was overwhelming.

When reciting my lines, I busted out the fake tears and some happy faces. The overall scene was meant to be this way.

I wiped the fake tears away from my face and handed my father a tissue. I only practiced my lines 4 times and I was happy I did good In my fathers eyes. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride.

"That was wonderful! I believe you will do well during your audition my cupcake." He pulled me into a hug.

Interrupting our little moment, my mother came into my room and announced that dinner was done.
