The guild and Eina(corrected)

Following the directions of the Guide, Mark has begun to make his way to the guild. Walking through the streets he could see many kiosks, some sold things to eat and those who sold pieces of equipment. He wanted to stop and check what they had, but he didn't have a penny, so he could only sigh.

As he get closer and closer to the guild, buildings that previously seemed simple now had an added touch of class, especially the building at the end of the street.

"I assume it's the guild."

The building was built in brick and was mainly painted white and decorated with banners depicting the guild symbol. It didn't look big from the outside, but the moment he walked in he changed his mind. The interior was very spacious, with large windows that let in the sunlight, the floor was emerald green and it was so clean that you could look at yourself.

Once inside, he saw that on the left there were counters where the various adventurers were exchanging stones for coins, while at the bottom there were various employees who communicated with the adventurers.

"Excuse me, do you need a hand?"

Turning around he saw a formally dressed elven girl with a slender body, pointed ears, shoulder-length brown hair, and emerald eyes.

"... It is my first time here and I would like to register." -Mark replied with a polite smile.

The reason he hesitated to speak was due to the fact that he was trying to understand the nature of the girl, and he was surprised by the bright green color she emanated that gave him kindness and serenity.

"Then follow me to that counter and let's go through the formalities." -Showing a professional smile, the elf accompanied him to the counter.

"First of all, let me introduce myself, my name is Eina Tulle and I am one of the employees of the guild. Can I know your name?" -She asked as she took pen and paper to write down the data.

"My name is Mark Tormeto, nice to meet you Miss Eina." - He replied politely.

"You don't have to be so formal, even if I don't look like I'm only 19." -Replied laughing.

"Where do you come from Mark so I record it."

"I come from the port city Dizara, being an orphan I have decided to come here to Orario to become an adventurer." -What he said was obviously a lie.

The last few days he asked the Guide various information about the different cities and opted to use the city of Dizara because it is a city with a mix of ethnicities and where orphans are high.

Hearing that he was an orphan, Eina was sorry, but she was used to it. Many adventurers have lost their parents to monsters or simply they were abandoned. Always showing her smile while hiding her true feelings Eina continued with the questions.

"Are you already in the Familia of a god?"

"Not yet, but the god who was in Dizara was kind enough to unlock my status before I came here."

Mark was showing a grateful face as if he is truly grateful that this god has granted him status. He lied so naturally that he could have become an actor.

"Perfect the questions are over. Now I just have to take a drop of blood to check how long you have the status. In the past several people have lied about the time they received the status just to beat the current record of moving up to level 2. Ah, obviously it's not that I don't trust you! " -She said agitatedly.

Watching the scene, Mark couldn't help but smile. How could he have something against this girl who from the very beginning had such kind feelings towards a stranger.

"Don't worry, do what you have to do."

After hearing Mark's words, Eina calmed down, took a needle, and punctured Mark's finger by dropping a drop of blood on an instrument that showed a range of values.

"From what I read, you have had the status for a week. With this we concluded, do you have any questions ?" -She asked Mark, while closing the book where she was writing the data.

"Mainly two, how can I sell these stones and how can I enter the dungeon," Mark asked her as he took out the monster stones.

He didn't get all the stones out otherwise it would seem suspicious for a person to have so many after just one week.

"For the stones, you just have to go to those counters where they will pay you, while to enter the dungeon you just have to say your name, by now you are already registered in the guild. Also from today, I am your assistant, in case of doubts come to me and remember not to go down too many floors as the first time. " -She told him with the same expression as a teacher.

"Okay Eina, thanks for your help." -

After thanking her he went and managed to exchange the stones for 2000 valis, the currency of this world. Having gotten some money, Mark decided to go to some kiosk to buy something to eat.

--- POV Eina ---

Watching as Mark was leaving Eina heard someone calling her.

"Hey Eina, was that handsome boy a new adventurer?" -The one who asked the question was a pretty girl with pink hair and eyes.

"Oh, it's you Misha and yes, he is a new adventurer, his name is Mark." - Eina replied.

"Eh, our Eina has found someone that interests her?" -Said Misha with a mischievous smile.

"It's true that he looked good, but more than anything else I found him... strange?" -Eina said after a moment of reflection.

"In what strange sense?" Misha asked as she tilted her head.

"He felt… empty. I met many adventurers and when I talked to them they all showed many feelings, but nothing with him, moreover even if he looked at me it seemed that his gaze was not focused on me, but something else. "

'Now that I think about it, he was always on guard' - Eina thought.

Mark didn't realize, but he had developed a bad habit. Trusting little of people, he paid a lot of attention to their aura to see any changes also for this he was always on guard in case something happened he would be prepared.

"I think you're thinking too much about it. Anyway, I greet you, I have to go back to work. " -Greeting Eina, Misha tiredly returned to work.

'Maybe I'm overthinking' - With that thought in mind, Eina also went back to work.

--- POV Mark ---

When he left the guild, Mark didn't know that Eina was talking about him.

"So this is the currency of this world." - Looking at the gold coin he was holding, he couldn't help but think how annoying it was to carry them around.

'I miss my credit card.' - He thought with a sigh.

[In this city there is a bank where you can deposit your money without anything happening to it.]

'At least I know that I don't have to worry about trying to find a place to put the coins that I will have in the future, however, it is useless to put this amount, from what I have heard from the various vendors a simple meal costs from 50 to 100 valis and I have to find also an inn to stay in. '

'Grrr' -While he was walking through the streets he felt his stomach rumbling, leaning a hand on his stomach he looked for a kiosk that sold food and found one that sold kebabs, so he decided to get closer.

"Can I have two?" -Sayed while pointing to the skewers.

"Of course. Here you are, 50 valis. "

Taking the skewers after paying, he smelled the aroma they emanated, making him water. Taking a bite, his eyes snapped open.

"It's delicious." -Sayed while concentrating on feeling all the flavor of the meat.

"Hehe it's a family recipe." - Said the old man with pride.

"Can I have a third to take away?" -Mark asked as he quickly finished the first skewer.

"Since you've already bought two, I'm selling this to you for 10 valis."

Paying and thanking the man, Mark asked him a question.

"Do you know any good inns?"

"There is the Hostess Of Fertility, which acts as both a tavern and a pub, the prices are a bit high but the service is great. To get there, just go straight ahead. " - The man said as he pointed down the street.

"I understand, thanks for the information." -With those words Mark headed towards the inn, not knowing that he would meet one of the best-known goddesses.
