Mini-Boss Fight!

In the cave, the only noise that could be heard was the echo of footsteps and a scraping sound.

"I admit that this is fun and all but... Where the hell am I? I kill some rats and I get lost... Well, I should be able to find wherever I'm going eventually."

Armin has been walking in the cave for the last twelve minutes while drinking an HP potion as he has been killing rats for the last hour.

'You know I'm starting to enjoy using this sword. Then there was the skill I got which I actually really like just because it looks sick.'

Armin started to hear noises but it didn't sound like the noises the rats would make when they moving around and as he walked closer to the noise he found out why.

'Well that a bit larger... is this a guard?'

The reason Armin thought that was because there was a larger rat the size of a kitchen table but behind the rat was a pathway with blue torchlight on each side.

"Well big guy if I follow video game logic here you should be the mini-boss am I right?"

Suddenly there was a notification from the system.

Suddenly the large rat ran towards Armin causing him to be annoyed so he yelled out.

"Sure but you do realize I'm fighting with my life on the line right?!"

Armin shielded himself with his sword as the large rat rammed itself into him.

Armin ignored it as he activated his Demon Slayer Art. Suddenly the Rusted Great sword started to erupt a red aura and Armin felt even stronger as he aimed for the large rat's front left leg but what happened next surprised himself. The sword suddenly stopped at to which Armin guess was the rat's bone.

"So you got a strong bone structure huh? Well color me impressed, normally I could cut right through the other rats but I guess I can't with you."

The rat then tried to bite Armin but it was the name move that all the other rats did and he was easily able to dodge out the way.

'Well if I can't cut through the bone I guess I have a few other options...'

Suddenly Armin thought

'What if I stab it in the ass? No no, it might work but that's just fucked up... fuck it I'll just beat it to death!'

As Armin swung his sword sideways he got a notification from the system.

Suddenly when his sword smashed against the large rat's headwords could be seen about the rat's head.

'Ruggr? Is this its name? How exactly does it even have a name? The 7 must be his level...'

Suddenly 'Ruggr' started to wobble as it tried to stand back up.

"Haha did I give you a concussion fella?"

Armin then started the beat the rat with his sword as he would some times cut at the rat in hoping it would break through the bone. Armin would swing for the eyes whenever he got the chance and after a little while, he was able to blind the rat in one eye. After twenty minutes of non-stop smashing 'Ruggr' finally fell to the floor never to stand again. When it fell suddenly a dark fog Rises from its corpse and it gets sucked into Armin's chest causing Armin to miss the notification of his level ups.

"What the?!? Wait was that its soul?"

He then opened his skills page to check.
