157 Rapture

Bursting out from another explosion of blue, I crash into a barrier, as it seems that only my claws can break through them in any reasonable amount of time.

But before I can do so, my body is yanked to the side by another implosion, which is starting to get annoying. At the same time, I see one man pointing all of his fingers at me, from which ten small beams of energy pierce towards me, while at the same time another man to his side holds both hands over the centre of his chest, from which comes a far larger beam.

However, instead of dodging it, I simply tank the blow with my arms crossed in front of my head, causing yet another blue explosion, and before the dust in the air can get erased, I quickly send some blood into the ground and detach it.

As expected, the dust disappears, showing me a man and a woman charging at me. The guy is the punchy one, now glowing blue like the rest, while the woman has an ethereal European armour surrounding her, alongside a longsword and shield.

I move to meet them head on, having to block a rain of spears and orbs from either side with my wings, only for the cutter guy to shoot a blade at me, forcing me to dodge it, lest the Brute's separate my parts and make me regenerate them.

However, one of my eyes catches sight of a woman waving her hand at the blade once it passes me by, and suddenly it flies up in a full loop until it is falling back down on me.

Well fuck you too then.

My body is cut in half vertically, and an implosion occurs to my right, dragging the pieces apart while an explosion happens behind me, launching my left half at the two Brutes.

However they underestimate my regeneration, and my body fixes itself right before they can strike me, though I'm unable to block, letting the lady cut me open again, and when the guy's fist it sight about to reach me, blue energy suddenly gathers in front of it, blasting outward like a grenade.

That's new.

As my body fixes itself, I hop back from the Brutes, having only a second to make a mental list of all of my opponents as well as I am able to.

Two Brutes, explosions, implosions, the cutting guy, two beams, one for orbs and one for spears, one for barriers and another for nets, one to erase matter, the one who froze me, the one who fucked my tail, the one exploding the ground, lightning guy, brother Clements, Mr Bondage, some chick who seems to manipulate the other powers, whatever the fuck that blast just was and finally four more that haven't done anything yet.

That's not even counting the two I already killed.

How fun.

Still, I know who needs to go next. Right before Punchy hit me, I saw someone placing their hands on a dude I believe to be Clements, who I think transferred their power to Punchy temporarily.

That's dangerous.

The two Brutes reach me again, but their support is lacking this time, allowing me to simply dance around their blows even as I deflect orbs and spears with my ribbons and wings.

After leaning back to dodge another of sword lady's swings, I ๐˜ฃ๐˜ญ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ forward, faster than they were expecting, and kick Mr Fists ๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ in the rib, sending him flying out of the flat, barren arena that's been created.

Sword lady tries to get some payback, but with her here the others are hesitant to use their big powers, so I simply grab her sword, allowing it to dig into my arm until it can't be moved, then I do much of the same as before by grabbing her head and launching her at the dude that I think keeps blowing up the ground.

As soon as she is no longer next to me, a bolt falls from the sky, sending ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด through my body as I ignore it and charge for the cutting guy, his power being one of the few that's getting through my defences.

As I do so, eleven beams of energy barrel towards me, and when I move to block them, they suddenly change direction, shooting up and over my blocking limbs, landing straight on my back and almost forcing me to the ground.

But I keep my pace and continue charging forward, only for a man and woman to strand in my way.

Not giving me a moment to consider their powers, the woman thrusts both hands forward and massive wolves head, bigger than me, made out of pure energy comes into existence, charging at me with it's maw wide open to swallow me whole.

And I allow it, not stopping my charge at all as I run ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜จ๐˜ฉ the wolf head and out of the other side, my momentum only having been slowed slightly and my armour slightly singed.

Yet, when I come out the other side, the man is in front of me, the cracks on his body glowing angrily as they spread even further. Speeding up my charge even further, I reach the man before the sound of my movement does, and I punch forward with all of my strength, multiplied by my speed.

However, when my fist hits his face, it is like a human punching steel, except it doesn't even hurt, my momentum just ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ด, as if all the energy behind my blow were suddenly-

Oh.

In what feels like slow motion, the cracks along his body spread even further from the point of impact, moving through his body and to his left arm, where the cracks concentrate themselves over his palm, pointed at me.

Ever hear that expression about shooting yourself in the foot?

๐˜‰๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ!

With all of the force of my own blow being sent back at me, my body careens through the clearing, with a net suddenly coming into existence behind me, resulting in me getting diced to pieces, followed by an explosion right in the centre of all of my bits scattering me violently before I can regenerate.

As if that wasn't overkill enough, the ground erupts, causing another crater as the sky lights up once more with a deafening ๐˜‰๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ!

A beat passes and the dust all disappears, showing nothing but chunks of flesh, ruined land and silence.

"D-did we win?"

However, before the question can be answered, their attention is all brought elsewhere.

๐˜—๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ช.

Snapping their necks behind them, they all watch with horror as two spikes of blood erupt from the ground, piercing two of their number through the chest.

"Brother James!" They cry.

"Sister Griselda!" They scream.

But the two do not answer, for they are already dead.

Instead, someone else answers them.

๐˜ answer them.

"Don't count your eggs before they hatch,~" I say as my body collects itself, dragging flesh across the ground even as more flesh is generated, "as if a fucking bunch of ๐˜ค๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ด like ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ, could ever kill ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ."

๐˜Š๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฌ!

My face finally finishes slotting itself back together as my finger breaks, and I can feel my smile stretching beyond my face to truly inhuman proportions.

"I'd say I'll feed you to the dogs,~" I sing as I crouch down, like a predator about to pounce, "BUT I'D MUCH RATHER EAT YOU MYSELF!!!"

Demoralised, their reaction times are slower and the barrier chick only manages to activate her power once I am before Cutter once again, but my claws tear straight through it, and I spin around, my tail lashing out and slamming into his chest, sending him flying away as I pounce at the one making the implosions.

With the net guy dead alongside the one who can change their powers directions, and Cutter now gone, they don't actually have anything left that can truly hurt me.

In other words, I've already won.

"Brother Isaac!" Some woman shouts as her hair glows, her entire head now almost completely covered in shining cracks.

Faster than I would have expected, her hair extends to form a wall in front of me, while implosions form behind me and explosions in front, lightning raining down on my wings and the ground glowing in preparation for another explosion with hundreds of orbs and spears glowing in the sky around me and to finish it all off, there's a giant wolf head chasing me from behind.

With all of these powers raining down on me, I only have one thought.

"HOW FUN!! HAHAHAHAHAHA- ๐˜‰๐˜–๐˜–๐˜”!!!"

My body ragdolls through the air for a few seconds before crashing back into the ground, bouncing once before I dig into the earth and slow myself to a stop.

Breathing heavily, I can admit that I'm starting to tire, but I still don't see myself losing. All I have to do is chip them down, one at a time.

Curiously, the dust does not disappear this time, causing a sudden sinking feeling to form in my gut. However a single flap of my enormous wings is enough to send the dust cloud scattering away, allowing me a clear sight once more, and what I see confuses me somewhat.

Everyone is kneeled down, as if in prayer. All except for two. Brother Clements, and the one person who I don't think I've seen using a power yet.

It takes only a moment for me to connect the dots. Clements' power seems to be something along the lines of allowing one persons power to be expressed through another.

Meaning that whatever the boy, Isaac I presume's, power is, it is likely a trump card of sorts. However, before I can do anything to stop it, I watch as everyone except for those two, including the ones I knocked away or killed, start glowing an even deeper blue, the cracks spreading over their entire bodies.

Deciding to stop this immediately, I launch a slew of projectiles from my wings, but a barrier appears in the way, blocking them and causing me to tsk my tongue.

Unfortunately for me, this isn't like in movies where the power up takes forever, because with a sudden vacuum like suction, the blue energy is sucked out of each of them, their cracks spreading until they no longer have any skin left, becoming beings of pure energy that soon join the stream, flying into the air and straight into the boy.

The ๐˜ข๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ข or energy surrounding him only gets thicker and ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ until I can hardly even make out his form, and a sudden pressure settles over the area, a ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฉ๐˜ต in the air as winds start blowing erratically, the thunderclouds in the sky shouting out their rage as a blue maelstrom of energy is formed where the boy once was.

Until, all of a sudden, it all disappears. The energy compresses in on itself so fast I could have blinked and missed it, and now, standing in front of me is only a single boy.

The others are all gone, absorbed into him, and the cracks decorating his body would be blinding to anyone else. He looks like he is falling apart at the seems, far too much power being held into a body not designed to bear it.

To my surprise, instead of attacking, the boy actually chooses to speak instead.

"This power is not sustainable. Absorbing everyone's power like this, it is no different from suicide. I am already dead, and though I do intend to ensure you face the Lord's judgement by my side, I would like to know one thing before I die?"

My my, how polite.~

"Shoot," I say, my blasรฉ tone completely at odds with his own serene one.

"Why do you do this? Why have you condemned us all to death? What have we ever done to you? We only wanted to live in piece."

Heh, look at this kid. From the way he speaks, you'd hardly even realise that he's just another cultist.

"No particular reason, I just thought it'd be fun.~ Plus I don't like you on principle.~" My answer doesn't seem to phase him, as if he is above such pesky mortal things.

"I see. In that case, I am prepared to face my judgment in the afterlife. Are you?"

With his piece said, he takes a simple step forward, the earth melting under his feet, and I do the same, though the floor doesn't melt under my feet, which sucks.

The cracks rapidly start growing as we approach each other, and he says his final words right before he starts speeding up his steps.

"My body is already falling apart, so prepare yourself, for this will be over in one move, one way or another."

Heh, that works just fine for me.

Blood pours out of me like a river as I drain my reserves dry, pushing everything into my armour, even dissolving my ribbons and tail to add them to my growing mass and melding my wings into my arms until I stand thrice as tall as my foe.

"Let's see if you can do better than He did," I say with an expression of pure madness on my face.

Our walk turns into a jog, and then a run.

And then.

Impact.

The entire world falls silent as our fists clash, every cloud within a ten mile diameter fleeing in terror as an explosion, a ๐˜ด๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ of blue destruction spreads from our location, turning everything it touches into dust and blinding anyone who happened to see it, while causing winds strong enough to blow cars off of the road.

Until finally, there comes noise, like the Final Trumpet here to warn of the end.

๐˜ฝ๐™Š๐™Š๐™Š๐™Š๐™Š๐™Š๐™Š๐™ˆ!!!!!!!!!

=================

A/N: He~llo! Dear readers!

So, the one punch man theme was playing when I got to the end of this chapter, and yeah, this is like Extinction 2.0 except Lusia can survive it this time, even though it's actually way stronger than before.

Also, what do y'all think of my interpretation of Pastor and his power granting? Think it's cool? I think it's cool. And for anyone curious, there were 27 of them, including Pastor.

Also, it always annoys me in stories when people act as if they must always tell the truth, like when someone 'talks someone else into a corner' such that they have no choice but to reveal some truth or other. It's like people forget that you can just lie. Someone calls you out on it? Just lie again. This will be relevant in 2 chapters

Also, I never actually watched hellsing or the abridged version, but I checked out the abridged's first episode and holy shit, Tatarus(I think that was the name of the guy who pointed it out) was totally right, Abridged Alucard and Lusia are so fucking alike. Legit, they have said the exact same lines at least twice and I only watched the first ep....
