“Please take me with you,” the woman whispered. Her voice was dry and hoarse, her body trembled like a leaf on an unsettled wave. Was it because of the crime she had just committed, or was it because of the aura the man before her gave off? She must be sick, both in and out of the head. Everything in her said not to ask for help, or at least not to ask him for help, nevertheless, here she was bowing her head down before him. “Now, why would I do that?” His dark, airy voice filled her ears. His voice sent shivers down her spine, making her freeze in her spot. Her head sank to the floor, unmoving. “I do anything from cleaning to washing, and cooking,” she said, muttering her words, timidly. The man hunched down to her size and uttered, his breath tickling her neck. “Have you met me before?” “No, but I can—” She began to say, as if he were contemplating her request but was quickly interrupted. “Don't be so quick to sell yourself to death.” Passing through her, he left her to crumble on the ground. °∆° "Did you think I would let you go after I found you? Do you know how long I have waited for this moment?” His voice deepened with each word that fell off his lips. The woman stepped back, not wanting to get close to this terrifying man. “I am being truthful, Your Highness. I don't know you, Your Majesty, our families haven't met for any reason. So please let me go,” she whispered. Her body touched the wall. Now she was stuck between the wall and the terrifying man. “Please, My Lord, I don't know what you are talking about,” She whimpered. He placed his strong hands on her hip, giving it a light squeeze as he pulled her closer to his chest. He whispered into her ears, “I missed you so much, it's been a long while, My love” He placed his head on hers °∆° R18 PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOOK COVER ISN'T MINE, IT WAS FOUND AND REDESIGNED BY ME. I've recently read a few novels where the mc is the system and felt it could be more or it just wasn't what I expected. So instead, I decided to do it myself, a test novel of sorts. Credits to the creator of this picture. I found it on Google under the name "Fine Art America." I'm not writing for money, just for fun, so if you want me to take it down I will do so. Also, go check out Fine America Art, their art is pretty damn amazing. Now, the Synopsis. Jason, our protagonist, was exactly a normal person. He wasn't very average, he'd consider himself to be fairly smart and driven. He also thought he would hardly ever fail should he truly at it. It wasn't too farfetched either, considering the only time he's failed at something although he tried his hardest was addiction problems. And it wasn't drugs, if you know you know Anyways, back to the big problem, that isn't at all normal. Sure, he's lost every now and then. But he still isn't normal. If he picks up something new, like let's say the first time he played call of duty, he played search and destroy that entire day and only lost at 2 am because he was sleepy and his gun ran out of ammo. That's how unreasonable his ability to win is. He is often called Nike by his friends. Not just because his parents called him that and usually bought him Nike brand things, but because he was like the god of victory Reincarnated. At 12 years old. Anyways, this is an Isekai story, so he obviously failed to live at some point right? So let's get to it. He was in college, on the basketball team, he was a promising candidate, his team only lost twice in the two years he played with them, and only on one of those occasions was he present on the court. And the time he lost while on the court was on the news. Not because of how absurd it was for him to lose, but because he died that day. A flagrant foul gone too far, the other team really didn't want to lose, and as Jason went for the layup buzzer beater, the center basically body slammed him to the ground, falling head first to the wood. But when Jason awoke, he found himself in a room that belonged to a hardcore gamer. Animated binary strewn across the walls like the matrix, metallic cubes that seemed to glow turquoise, along with basic gaming things. Controllers, MnK's, headphones, earbuds, monitors, consoles Etc. Etc. And in the middle of it all, was a being of living code, the code of the existence if you will, sitting there, waiting to talk to Jason.
