The Gauntlet - Our War Game!
Leon Do is a North Korean idol who lived a rather simple life. While he's attractive, he's insecure and suffered from racial indifference after the fall of North Korea. He tries to debut with help from his girlfriend Serah Shin and his mentor Ray Park, but struggles as he juggles training with having to deal with Serah's stalkers.
Icarus and Lyra are the quirky twin daughters of two former idols, while Lori and Lauren are another pair of twins who are their younger half-sisters through their father. Together, they turn events into fun fiascos.
Icarus couldn't say profanities.
Lyra has a hard time lying.
Lori is sneaky and sinister.
Lauren bites people.
They all long for the same thing though - to meet their father who has disappeared for 27 years. Their births through IVF with his seed only spur them to yearn for the truth.
Ray Park is a mysterious handyman for the fledgling Guillermo Elite School of Performing Arts, an idol school suffering from a line of horrendous trainers despite being managed by talented idols. His sudden appearance creates a vacuum in which the trainees start improving at an alarming rate. His students include Leon, Icarus, and Lori. However, Ray is more than he seemed to be....
Together, Leon sets out with Icarus, Lyra, Lori and Lauren to uncover Ray's background while helping them learn more about their biological father.
The Gauntlet is not yet done, but this is a spiritual retelling of events in the 2011 version from their children's point of view.
