Chapter 4: Reborn

She laughed coldly, her eyes suddenly turned cold and her killing intent soared beyond the heavens

"Heavenly purgatory!!"

She gave a low shout as she attacked.

She didn't want to take any chances and directly used her most powerful technique at the cost of this frail body of hers.

Her palm condensed a gigantic red fireball the size of a star that covered the sky and blotted the moon, the entire courtyard brightened up as if it was high noon.

The denizens on earth gasped in shock when they saw the gigantic fireballs and they began to tremble in fear, many so-called powerful experts on earth all looked in the direction of the abandoned courtyard with solemn looks.

They wondered who could possess such immense, they didn't dare go over to investigate though.

"so long master, " Deola mumbled with a triumphant voice before sending the gigantic fireball crashing down at Tobi.

Tobi looked insignificant in the face of the gigantic ball approaching him but he didn't seem to care, he had a lifeless look in his eyes as he awaited his death.

A loud explosion followed and it felt like the entire world collapsed in that instant, earthquakes occurred all around the earth.

And everything present within a fifty-mile radius of the courtyard was directly engulfed in flames, Tobi's entire being, his soul was completely exterminated and his body burnt to the extent that there were no ashes left.

Deola coldly stared at the large earth fissure where the abandoned courtyard once stood, it was several kilometers deep and looked like an abyss.

Her body was ashen pale right now and her aura seemed visible weaker than before but she didn't seem to mind.

After all these long years of waiting and scheming she finally got what she wanted.

The coffin of lost souls! A supreme treasure that stood above other artifacts in the entire nine heavens and countless mortal worlds.

Its defensive and offensive abilities were unrivaled across the Immortal lands.

Unfortunately, It went missing for millions of years, but a millennial ago her Master, Tobi( a powerhouse that stood at the very peak in the cultivation world) told her that he found the location of an ancient map with the coordinates of the coffin of lost souls and immediately secretly headed there.

But his discovery came at a cost, he faced many traps in the ancient world where the map was and he sustain many injuries before escaping.

When he came out he was immediately surrounded and attacked by countless powerhouses in the same realm as him wanting to seize the maps from themselves.

The person that tipped them off was none other than Deola

Their battle shook the entire nine heavens and many mortal planets were destroyed, after several days of fighting Tobi broke out from the entrapment with grave injuries.

At that point, he was on the brink of death so he used a forbidden technique and sent himself to the location where the artifact lay, earth

He didn't let Deola see the map because he was suspicious of her at that time, fortunately, he was weak and his cultivation sharply fell giving her a chance to put a marker on him.

When he arrived on earth shortly after he did, the annoying old man didn't immediately search for the treasure but instead hibernated for centuries.

But Deola patiently waited hidden from him all this while in the bodies she easily seized.

All of her planning led to this moment.

Not only that, she even managed to exterminate that old foggey that have cast a shadow on her all these years, an euphoric feeling waft as she remembered the lifeless look on his face before he died.

All that was left was for her to refine the Coffin of lost souls to nurture her

She managed to calm her emotions and turned her attention to the unremarkable-looking coffin and prepared to refine it for herself.

Deola remain alert though and she first tiny wisp of her divine alter energy, this time to her delight she didn't encounter any suction and the Coffin swallowed it without any surprise.

"Seems that old fogey has done a number on me" she smiled a bitter smile at her paranoia, she let go and sent her alter sense energy to the coffin without care.

Everything was going smoothly until suddenly she felt her divine alter sense tremble slightly.

Her heart jumped and she immediately tried to withdraw her divine sense.

But it was too late.

A powerful gold soul appeared within the coffin and began to siphon her divine alter energy like a hungry beast!

"Kekeke little Skylar, it's been a while"

At that moment a weak old voice reached her Deola ears causing her entire being to collapse in despair.

"What.....that name?" Deola stuttered, her already pale face became even paler.

There was only one person that knew that name and even dare call her in the entire immortal lands, this was none other than her master.

But how was he alive, she saw his soul scatter just now.

Without caring about the repercussions immediately cut off her connection with the Coffin of lost souls.

And then the voice snickered once more "Little girl, why are you so cautious, you should have let me enjoy a little bit more of your alter... Oh well I guess this will have to do"

"Bastard" Deola cursed

Even though she cut the connection with the coffin she lost about 10 percent of her alter.

"Is that how to talk to your long-lost master " the aged voice sighed before saying "thank you for the all that divine alter energy, it was the final push needed to completely fuse with the coffin of lost souls and now I can break the barrier and leave this forsaken land!!"

Deola wanted to cry upon hearing that, even though he didn't explain what happened she already got the gist of it.

The soul she designated must have been a decoy and his real soul was hidden in the coffin of lost souls, didn't this mean she ended up getting played after all her planning, she immediately gathered her energy in her hands and prepared to crush the artifact.

"It's too late little Skylar, you can't stop this hehehehe" the old voice laughed heartily

At that moment the coffin of lost souls glowed a divine light, the entire void shook and the artifact disappeared as if it was never there only the old voice laughter lingered in the air.

Only Deola (or little Skylar hehe) was left in the obscure gloomy light.

"I'm sure you are still injured old master and you still need to rest, just you wait I'll find you even if it takes me a hundred thousand years of turning the entire immortal lands upside don" Deola roared in anger

Her killing intent spread across the entire earth causing another series of disasters to occur, people were infected with her hatred and began to fight each other, wars even started.

The earth was in for tough days ahead.
