17 Rene Xavi, Xavier's Avatar

Lincoln Star Academy's last class ended and students went out of their ways to go home. Cars waited for some of the students while the others walked to the nearest train station.

Xavier stayed and moved toward the Basketball Gym as there was a schedule practice for today. He saw that the starter team as well as the substitutes had already gathered but there were still a few people missing including Terrence. The story back then seemed to be real. He would not be returning any time soon.

He changed his clothes to the practice attire of the team. While waiting for the few people, Coach Michael asked the team to begin the exercise. It was pretty common for teams to just do exercises focused on improving endurance, flexibility, and even strength. The last part would be a practice match.

An hour passed as they have done all the necessary exercises in the routine. The coach reminded them that it was still light and some days would be more intense.

Xavier understood that this reminder was for the new players that joined.

Lincoln Star Basketball Team was really weak as Xavier and the new players could match up to the pace of their seniors. The gap and difference were not noticeable but Xavier didn't know that he is just simply a monster.

The training ended as Xavier changed back to his uniform when his seniors greeted him.

"That was a great game."

"You did well for your first time."

If Coach Michael wanted to put him in the starter, he would need to wait some time until Xavier gathered enough respect from the team. This was the reason he didn't tell them anything yet. He told them that he would find someone suitable if Terrence didn't go back in two weeks.

Terrence was already exceptional in this team but he wouldn't be able to single-handedly carry a team.

Xavier already had a plan for how to lure out Terrence to playing again. He needed to use the fact that Terrence is under an extreme financial circumstance. However, he would need to know more about it.

A few hours passed.

Xavier lied on his bed waiting for the system's notification as he counted that it was only a minute left before the avatar was ready.

Ding.

[The avatar 'Rene Xavi' is now ready to use.]

'Please transfer me to Rene Xavi.' Xavier told the system.

[Commencing consciousness transfer...]

Suddenly, Xavier felt his eyes could not see and his other senses were not working. Although he could not feel or hear what's happening, the transfer made him nauseous.

A few minutes later, his senses returned and he felt unfamiliar with his arms and eyes. He was a bit taller now and he was in an unfamiliar place.

"Where am I?"

"Sunshine Valley?" Xavier was confused to think that this avatar would have his own home. A villa in this valley would cost at least one hundred million dollars.

"Why do I have this house?"

[Of course. In order for your avatar usage to not be suspicious, I have to buy you a home and it is included in the avatar pack. I have also transferred the XavInvest Company under this avatar's name. You can transfer it anytime when your main body turns 18.]

Xavier nodded in approval to the response of the system. He looked at his hands and he turned on the lights of the bedroom. He searched for the nearest mirror and looked at it.

Indeed, this was the same look he edited in the avatar panel.

From what the system told him, he currently possessed the identity as CEO of Xavinvest. This was really shocking but he believed that it was important to be proactive and not waste this precious time on learning in school. He already knew all of that.

However, he was really worried as to what will happen to his main body. The system told him that it would be under auto-pilot. He would know about it once he returned to the body at 2pm or after the classes.

Xavier used his time at night to get used to this body. He jumped around and moved around. He tried to cook a meal on his luxurious kitchen that he was shocked to see. This was more luxurious than their current mansion's kitchen.

Suddenly, the phone on his pocket rang. This phone was registered to Rene Xavi.

He answered the phone.

"Hello, Mr. Xavi. My name is Zack, the previous CEO of the company and currently one of the board members. Will you be going to the company tomorrow?" Zack politely answered as he knew this man's identity.

A few weeks ago, someone purchased and renamed their investment company. This company was just a small company but when someone contacted him to purchase, he was shocked. Not only that, they placed one billion dollars in the company fund.

As such, he understood that the person must have come from a really rich and secretive family. It was only today that he found out the identity of the person. Rene Xavi would now preside as the CEO of the company.

Xavi was an unusual surname. This led him to assume that this family was very secretive.

"Yes, Mr. Zack. I will be going to office tomorrow." Xavier replied as he really needed to go tomorrow.

One of his agenda for tomorrow was to give out two scholarships to students in Lincoln Star Academy. It wasn't unusual for Lincoln Star to receive this as such he felt that it was a fool-proof plan.

"Also, Mr. Zack, can you investigate these selected students? I will send the file to you. I plan to hand out two scholarships." Xavier said.

"Yes, Mr. Xavi. I will do that." Zack was really polite. "Is that all, Sir?"

"Yes. Bye for now and see you tomorrow."

"Bye, Sir."

Xavier dropped the call as he looked at the burnt meal in front of him. So that was why he was smelling something bad while he was on the phone.
