The situation becomes even more suspicious as every detective assigned to the task disappears within a week. Now it's krugen's turn to take on the assignment, and he is well aware that being a detective is a high-risk job, but he has no choice but to support his family.
As he delves into the investigation, following a lead to a badge with the name "The Devil's Detective," he realizes that he has been thrust into a world unlike anything he has ever known. With a note stipulating that anyone who takes on this assignment will become the devil's detective, Anos finds himself in the underworld, a place he never thought existed.
Anos is now trapped in a perilous situation - tasked with navigating his way through the labyrinth of the underworld, where unsolved mysteries are punished severely. With every solved mystery, Anos gains a unique ability and reward that he sends back to the living realm as money, but each unsolved mystery has a dire consequence, leading to death if he fails three missions or getting stuck in the underworld forever if he can't solve the mystery within a day.
As he explores the underworld, Anos finds he must face terrifying demons and ancient gods and discovers unpleasant truths about himself. But his worst mission is yet to come, and it will test his resolve like never before.
