The story starts at the end of the cultivation journey. Chapter 1 has a lot of exposition dumps as I feel it is required for a story that starts this way. Many questions would be answered in the first chapter, however, it also raises a lot of new questions. Most cultivation stories would give this exposition at the end of their stories, so have them right now!
