Spellbounded

Ariene kept staring at Dashiell for long,she wanted so much to take her eyes off him but she just couldn't,it was like she was spell bounded by him,she had never met a man so captivating as the one before her, to her he was overly too handsome for a human but what she didn't know is that he wasn't even a human to start with. Something in her kept drawing her to him and she could not point it out,she wanted so much to touch him,hug him or even kiss him.

"Why are you asking of me?" Dashiell asked coldly bringing her back to reality.

"I....i wa...wanted to say thanks for the help" she said as she bit her lips,she was ashamed of the thoughts running through her mind...

"Do not thank me! you said you would do anything in return and i guess I'm in need of a servant...you should start immediately!" he said and walked away leaving her down casted.

"Stupid me! what was i thinking? how would he look at a disgusting person like me?! hmmm" She sighed dejectedly and walked to the mirror again,looking at herself through the mirror a tear dropped from her eyes, she blamed her Father! It was because of him that she was in this situation. No man would look at her again,she had been used countless times and her perfect white body now filled with whip marks,no man would surely want her, she sighed again and left the room.

Ariene strolled from her room,not knowing where she was going,she just kept strolling and looking around the house....it was beautiful only that it had odd colors and she could not help but feel somehow.

"Are you lost?" She heard someone say behind her and her heart almost jumped out of her,she turned around with fright but calmed down when she saw it was the old lady.

"Oh Mam!...I'm kinda lost" She said as she scratched her head, the woman smiled back at her.

"Okay dear....come with me,the young master said you will be starting work immediately" the old lady said and she nodded and followed behind her. Ariene and the old lady walked to the kitchen together and when they got there the old lady took out a chair and sat down while Ariene kept looking around the kitchen.

"Mam the kitchen is pretty" She said as she kept walking around the big kitchen,the old lady shook her head and smiled.

"Can a kitchen be pretty?" The old lady asked and Ariene chuckled in response,

"No Mam,but this one sure is....look at the decorations,they are perfect...but why is the kitchen painted black? the whole house is painted black as well,why??" She asked as she could not help be curious.

"Young master loves black!" The old simply said causing Ariene to sigh in response, "You will understand him as time goes on,do not worry about all that now...your work is to be cleaning the whole house"

"Wha....what!!!!????" Ariene screamed out in shock, "clean the entire house? but how am i supposed to do that? i mean the house is way too big" she said still shocked....she had earlier strolled round the house and seen how big it was,so she thought it to be an impossible task.

"But I've been doing it for years.....so many years" the old lady replied gently,she understood why Ariene screamed like that,she was a human after all while she herself is a vampire.

"Many years?? how do you even do it?" Ariene asked in shock,she could not believe what the old lady said.

"When i was like you of course....i do it slowly everyday until i got used to it,do not worry with time you will definitely get used to it already, i assure you" the old lady said and sighed as she remembered her past,her horrible past! Something she didn't want to remember at all, Ariene noticed her changed mood and decided to ask .

"Mam! what is the matter? you look sad!" She asked staring at the old lady,who sighed and shook her head.

"Nothing....just that I'm already old to do certain works and i miss my young days....happy that you are now here though!" The old lady replied forcing out a smile.

"Okay mam! if you say so...uhmmm about Master....can i ask a question?" she asked and the old lady raised an eyebrow at her...she didn't really understand why the girl kept asking about her Master. "Fine...ask!" she simply replied.

"Is Master in....... i mean his wife or girlfriend must be extremely beautiful right?" she asked and the old lady didn't know if she should laugh or not,how would the girl be curious about her master's relationship!.

"Hahahaha! You are a funny girl my dear...Young master do not let me know about that,so i do not know what to tell you.....maybe you should try asking him yourself?"

"Ah! I dare not do that....or I'll be doomed for sure!" Ariene said and the old lady laughed so hard!

"You are quite a funny girl,i do not know what happened that got you here,but I'm happy that you are here...i haven't laughed like this for years you know?!"

The old lady seeing how quiet and sad the girl looked right now deeply frowned,seemed like she had reopened the girl's old wounds."Child....are you okay?! sorry if i might have said something to make you remember your past....i haven't talked to someone in a long time so i just got carried away".

Ariene bit her lower lips as she stared at the lady,it wasn't her fault that she was here so why would she apologize for something she did not do,besides she was actually glad to have seen someone to talk with. "Mam! I'm sorry,i just remembered something but it's alright,I am also happy to have someone to talk with" She said and the lady smiled back.

"You haven't told me your name child!" the old lady said and the girl smiled awkwardly.

"Oh! It's Ariene.....My father calls me Riene..that was then though!" Ariene replied in a sad tone as she remembered her Father.

"It's okay Riene,i may not be like your Father,but i will see to it that you don't remember your bad pasts.....okay?" The old lady said reassuring her.
