Woke up in Darren's Room.

Darren watched Lana fast asleep on his king-size bed, while he sat on the small sofa which was near the door to the veranda of the room. One hand was busy holding the phone that he put to his ear.

"Give the information once you get it, Rafael. I want all the information regarding Lana, even the smallest one."

"It's been too long to find out about the woman you've slept with, Darren. She's just the woman you pay for a one-night stand. Why are you so interested in her?" asked Rafael.

"Just do it," said Darren, "and also find out about Stefanny, Christian's wife. Investigate the woman and don't let Christian find out. Do you understand, Rafael?"

"Christian's wife? Do you mean, your uncle? Are you crazy, Darren? Don't tell me you're interested in your uncle's wife!"

"I'm not crazy, Rafael. And get that ridiculous thought out of your head," Darren said, "she's not so valuable that two rich men have to fight over her."

"I'm grateful."

"Also, buy some women's clothes and have them delivered to my house."

"Women's clothing? For what?" asked Rafael, "what exactly are you doing, Darren?"

"That woman… Lana. We meet again. She's fast asleep in my bed," Darren told Rafael. He rubbed his temples in annoyance. "She's really very unsettling."

Rafael's silence was a sign that the man was unable to respond to what Darren had just said.

"Tomorrow morning, I will go to the construction site to check the progress of the condominium construction. Bring the documents there after you drop off the clothes for Lana."

"Did you undress by tearing it, Darren? To the extent that you asked me to buy clothes for her?"

I can't even touch her a bit because she's drunk. Darren thought.

Should he forget manners and do what has been on his mind for a long time?

"You talk too much, Rafael. Do your job well. Remember, don't let Christian know you're investigating Stefanny."

"Okay. I understand," said Rafael. Before ending the call, Rafael called his boss. "Darren,"

"Hmm?"

"You're not serious about her, are you?"

"Who knows …."

"You're only going to hurt her, Darren," said Rafael, "I'm just reminding you so you won't regret it later."

Darren ended the call without replying to Rafael's words. He got up from the couch, dropped his phone on it, and sat on the edge of the bed. He watched Lana fast asleep with Darren's oversized white shirt covering her naked body.

After suddenly fainting at the party earlier, then throwing up and soiling their clothes. Darren takes Lana back to his house. Darren is almost overwhelmed by Lana's drunken behavior. The woman was like a stray cat that couldn't stay still. Her usually timid and timid attitude took a 180-degree turn.

Some men may get excited when they see a drunk woman turning aggressive. But, Darren didn't like making love to women who wouldn't remember what happened after they woke up.

"I'll consider whether I should keep you or let you go."

Darren rubbed Lana's blushing cheek with the back of his hand and she immediately moaned at the touch of his hand.

"What a troubling woman."

In her dream, Lana seemed to be in a meadow. She lay on her mother's lap, while her father was setting the kite so it could fly. Lana felt so sleepy. Her eyes were half closed, almost about to fall asleep and she could faintly see her father walking toward her. She felt a soft caress on her cheek, then a short peck that landed on her forehead, and then, a small voice hummed goodnight before Lana drifted off to sleep.

When she woke up, Lana blinked her eyes several times. No matter how much Lana looked at it, the ceiling she saw was not the ceiling of her room. It was far more luxurious and too dark in tone compared to her feminine room.

Is this really her room?

Is Lana still in dreamland?

"Are you awake sleepyhead?"

Lana was immediately taken aback. She reflexively woke up and held the blanket that had fallen from her body. Her eyes widened when she saw the figure of a well-built man standing watching her from across the bed.

That's Darren. The man looked charming in a shirt that wrapped his burly body. His face was clean shaven without leaving sideburns around his chin. The corners of his lips lifted upwards when he saw the panic on Lana's face.

"Are you a sleeping princess? Or do you have a long sleep habit?"

"Y-you!" Lana pointed at Darren with her index finger. "What are you doing in my room?!"

"Your room?" Darren glared. "Open your eyes, Lana."

Lana opened her eyes as Darren ordered. And how surprised Lana was when she realized that this wasn't her room, it was Darren's.

"W-what am I doing in your room?" Lana's voice disappeared as her guts shrunk. She squeezed the blanket and began to realize that she was wearing nothing but an oversized shirt that wrapped her body.

Good grief! What happened?!

Did I sleep with him again? thought Lana.

Suddenly Lana felt nauseous. She immediately threw the blanket aside and jumped out of bed. Lana ran past Darren and into the bathroom. She began to vomit all the food in her stomach into the toilet.

Seeing Lana's condition, Darren immediately approached Lana. He crouched behind Lana, grabbed the strands of her hair and pulled them back. While the woman was still struggling with nausea in her stomach until finally Lana wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.

"Feel better?"

Lana looks like she's just run a marathon. She took as many breaths as she could before she lifted her head up and met the pair of black eyes that were also watching him.

"Y-yes." They're too close. Lana was made nervous by Darren's deep gaze.

With the remaining strength, Lana tried to get up, but suddenly Darren had grabbed her body. Lifting it into the air with a swift movement as if it was not affected by its weight. Now, Lana has come out of the toilet with Darren in her arms like a princess.

Lana wrapped her arms around Darren's neck awkwardly. Even though she wanted to refuse, it was clear it was too late because Darren had put her down on the bed again.

"T-thank you." Without realizing it, Darren's gentle demeanor made Lana's heart skip a beat.

"Too many thanks will leave you indebted to me, Lana," Darren said.

"W-what?"

Darren dropped his hands on Lana's sides. Blocking the woman from moving anywhere. "If we do the math… you owe twice the favor… Hm, maybe more than that," Darren said, "and I deserve what I deserve."

"W-what do you mean?"

Darren's eyes were intimidating. Although his gaze was gentle, for some reason Lana felt something dangerous in his eyes.

"I've decided," Darren said, "I'm going to hold you here until I get my paycheck."
