The year of 2182 changed how humanity played games. An era of fully VRMMORPGS, and Defiance was the game that stood out in the market.
Defiance Online was a blast, and everyone around the planet played it, including Leo, a freshman in college studying biology.
Leo did not have that much time to play the game with his studies, and also his party-time work to pay for college, but he still enjoyed every second inside the game.
It was easier for him to watch rather than playing, so he read every shocking news about the game, and watched the live stream of the most famous streamers of Defiance, and that grant him lots of knowledge about the game. He was confident he was one person who knew the most.
Five years after the game’s release, something happened. Leo’s father, who did not live with him, as his parents were divorced, showed up on his door, crying and saying he was sorry for everything.
Leo was confused at first, but discovered that his father had worked on the development of Defiance, who turned out to be more than a game, as the company brought the game world to reality, causing an apocalypse.
The character one had in the game merged with their real self, which meant only the strongest players survived the apocalypse, and Leo was just a casual player. He died, but returned to the day Defiance launched.
This time, Leo would become the strongest inside Defiance Online. With his accumulated knowledge, there was one thing he knew which would make his path to greatness a stroll in the park.
