Another Day at Academy

It was a bright sunny day, the birds were chirping early in the morning and the refreshing cold breeze hitting you was like an icing on the cake.

Rosalyn and i were standing in the middle of the garden holding each others' hands, ready to teleport to the Academy.

" Ella we are leaving, take care and eat properly, we will be late because we have more classes today "

I said to Ella who was standing beside me and Rosalyn also said her goodbye to Ella.

" Good bye big brother and you too sister Rosalyn " Ella replied in her cheerful voice as i took out my ID card and teleported both of us.

Coming to the Academy we both went straight towards the class, there was still some time left before the professor comes so we were walking slowly and enjoying our time.

We were holding hands and even though i wanted to remove my hand but noticing the grip of Rosalyn's hand on mine i knew that it would be rude of me, so i didn't do anything and just hold her hands and interlocked our finger which took Rosalyn by surprise but she just smiled brightly at my teasing and made her grip even tighter.

I don't know what was happening with me, i really wanted to stay away from Rosalyn but i didn't know how to do it without making it seem rude and obvious.

Whenever i am with her my heart starts beating faster and i feel so comfortable that my mind tempts me to get even more close to her.

Everything was so confusing, my heart wasn't listening to me at all and i knew that little by little i was falling for her as she was falling for me.

I know this has something to do with our Destiny and Past life, but i don't remember Rosalyn at all. I don't have any memory of a girl similar to Rosalyn and i only had a Love Relationship with ' her '. It doesn't make any sense for me to have a love relationship with Rosalyn.

I knew there was something missing, things weren't as simple as they appeared to be, everything was covered in a veil of mystery and i have to remove this veil to know the truth.

I really wanted to stop it but i know that its necessary for everything i have to do in future, without even knowing the real identity of Rosalyn i couldn't take any decision on my own that i might regret in future, and for some reason my heart wasn't allowing me do go away from Rosalyn.

I have to get better at using my [ Destiny ] talent. It has the answers to all my questions.

But i didn't let myself get anxious, i have waited for so long, and it was only a few days more, i have trust that after eating that fruit my talent would atleast be able to tell me Rosalyn's identity and read her past, it might also give me clues on how to find ' her '.

Walking slowly in silence and enjoying each others company we reached our classroom and sat on our respective seats.

We came a little early so there weren't many students in the class, i only talked with a few students on my first day, so i decided to know everyone and make contacts to not be left out.

From my side view i could see that Rosalyn was also surrounded by girls and chatting happily.

I start talking with two boys that were sitting on my back and side seats.

They were both brothers and their names were John and Tom Griswold. They were both nobles too from the Griswold family, John was the big brother between them and was also the 4th ranker in the entrance examination.

They were both magic nerds, but very good natured kids. Seeing us talking some more students joined us and we started talking on which field everyone was taking.

Every student has to take combat classes and choose two fields they specialize in. People can of course learn as many fields as they want but it was not efficient to learn everything from the start.

Combat plus two other fields were the most efficient and effective set-up one should study atleast upto a level 4 wizard, after which they can choose other fields too if they want.

I know that Rosalyn would choose Healing and Alchemy as her fields. If combat wasn't compulsory she would have chosen combat + Alchemy as the female of Silverline family are mostly specialized in Combat and Alchemy, whereas the Male specialize in Combat + Assassinations.

But getting another field to choose, Rosalyn got a chance to also choose healing to learn, which she seems to be the most passionate about.

In my case i was actually okay with anything. I was learning curses on my own, i was almost a lvl 3 wizard and my combat capabilities were quite high with all the real life battles i have been through in my adventures.

I was also thinking of choosing alchemy and healing. I didn't choose those two totally because of Rosalyn, though she did have a part in me making my decision but it was only 10-20% and even without her i would have chosen those two.

My motive for choosing those two was totally different from Rosalyn. By learning healing magic and combining it with my first talent i wanted to learn to control the life force of a person and Alchemy could be of great use to me with my library that has countless ancient formulas and methods.

Mrs. Rolen finally entered the class after a few minutes, exactly on time. I wonder if she was standing and waiting outside for the time to be exactly in sync with her entry. Something to find out in future.

I laughed inwardly and focused on the class as we all stood up and greeted her.

The class went as usual where she just taught us the theory, she distributed us the forms to fill for the fields we wanted to choose and then gave the schedule for every class.

we had to submit the forms after this class and go to our respective field classes afterwards according to the schedule.

" That's it for today, be sure to fill your forms properly. You should all think carefully before selecting the fields too as you will be stuck with them for quite a bit of time after submitting the forms. Check the pros and cons of everything and select what is best for you. Class Dismissed "

With that Mrs. Rolen took her leave and exit the class as we all stood up and greeted her a ' Thank you '.

Everyone started talking after Mrs. Rolen left and i also stood up from my seat and went towards Rosalyn.

Noticing me coming towards Rosalyn, the girls surrounding her politely left after a casual nod and Rosalyn also smiled and waved her hand for me to come.

" which fields did you choose ? " Rosalyn asked me curiously.

" Healing and Alchemy. And you ? " I replied calmly and sat beside her on her seat as she made a little space for me.

" What, really ? i also choose the same " She said excitedly and then squinted her eyes at me and asked.

" Tell me Athan and don't lie to me. why did you choose these two, you didn't choose them because of me right ? "

" I didn't even know what you were going to choose, how could that be possible ? " i replied nonchalantly, shaking my head.

" I said don't lie to me, I know that you already guessed it before what i was going to choose." She said in a serious tone and pinch my waist.

" Ouch!, ouch ! okay okay wait i am telling" i said that and as she was waiting for my reply i quickly got up from the seat and came in front of her seat

" Not telling " i then flicked her nose and laughed at her serious face.

" You "

She pointed her finger at me then took a deep breath.

" Its not good to choose the fields just because of me Athan, you would waste a lot of your time doing that. You should choose something that you want to study."

She honestly told and gave me a lecture like my mother.

She was really a kind hearted girl, *sigh* i couldn't help but like her more and more everytime i am with her and got to know her better.

Seeing her like this i also decided to not tease her anymore and tell the truth.

" Okay my dear future wife, relax. I agree that you were one of the reasons for me choosing them but you have believe that i have my own plans too and i really want to learn those two "

" Really ? " She asked more calmly this time but her face shows that she was still a little suspicious.

" HAHAHAHA, Of course" I chuckled and flicked on her forehead.

Rosalyn pouted and rubbed her forehead

" Humph, ' Dumbo ' "

~~ *stunned*

My mind suddenly went blank after hearing that word from her mouth.

" Hey Athan, what happened, you alright ? " She noticed my abnormality and waved her hands in front of my eyes causing me to come out of the shock.

" N-No nothing, i just remembered something important i had to do but forgot " I laughed a little and chatted a bit with Rosalyn, i promised to go cafeteria with her after the next class and then went towards my seat.

It was still some time for the next class to start so i just leaned back in my chair and closed my eyes.

What happened just now was really out of my expectations.
