Midnight in the Forest
While the whole world we know is asleep at midnight, another world we never knew existed awakens deep inside the forests. They are the forest spirits who were known as ‘The Purus’. Hundreds of years ago, they could be seen in bright light and blended well with humans and other creatures. As the name itself implies, they were all pure-hearted spirits with very fine airy bodies. When time passed, humans became evil to the extent that these pure spirits could not survive among them. They gradually moved far inside the forests so that they did not have to interact with the humans. They even stopped appearing in the daytime and used to come out at the night.
Gradually, humans forgot about the existence of these wonderful spirits and they became fictitious after many generations. The stories we here today about these mysterious spirits are not just fictitious, those are true stories passed through generations. If you are pure enough and wandered deep in the forests at midnight, you may see these amazing forest spirits even today. So, this is the story of ‘The Purus’, the pure-hearted forest spirits.
