6 I wanna be a scout!

One of the top scouts of wall rose walked past the training area where students were all getting on their dummy ODM.

He kept an analysis on all the students, his eyes first caught Mikasa who was completely balanced on the equipment, then he moved over to the rest of the students.

He was impressed, "They have the skill, I'll give them that" He smiled before moving along.

"Uhm sir, what about that one?" The soldier who was following him pointed at Eren. He was dangling on his equipment, unable to balance himself on it.

"And that is why these tests are taken, to see those who qualify," He said before walking away from the training ground.

"Yeager!" Commander Kieth yelled, he moved closer to Eren before bending down to see his face, "I don't recall asking you to jingle the equipment, Yeager."

"Of course sir" Eren responded, "Why is this happening? Why can't I balance myself" He looked around and saw the others laughing silently at him.

"Eren? Eren?" Armin called his name multiple times but he had completely zoned out.

He had a bandage over his head, after the practice was over, Eren dragged both Armin and Mikasa with him to the training ground but it got even worse.

Unable to balance himself on the equipment led to him falling and hitting his head on the fall, he fell unconscious and they had to carry him back to their headquarters.

"Eren ear up, you'd need the strength tomorrow," Mikasa said before putting bread in her mouth.

She hasn't smiled or even given a glimpse of laughter ever since the incident at Shiganshina, which was to be expected with Ayato missing and all.

Eren was so stunned that he didn't even take a spoon from his food, all he was thinking about was how he couldn't balance himself on the scale.

The Next day came and he was told to do it again, but the same thing happened, he just kept falling every time.

"What is the problem cadet?" The commander asked, yelling at the top of his lungs.

"I-i'm not sure sir," He panicked remembering the way they mocked him yesterday during dinner, saying how he has a big mouth but can put up a game.

"Cadet lousy, switch gears with Eren Yeager, " The commander said, he moved a few feet back and watched as Eren balanced himself on the equipment with no stress.

The commander with a smile worked over to Eren, "You had a busted gear, and you were still able to balance yourself on that even if it was for a few seconds, that's fine work cadet." The commander praised him.

"Thank you, sir."

"Okay soldiers, down to the forest and grab your Odm gears, time to put your training to the test."

"I hope you are watching, Mom, Ayato, I'm almost there," Eren said to himself, watching as Mikasa tried to free Armin from the webs that was stuck on his hair.

When they arrived at the forest, they started using their Odm gears under the command of commander Keith.

They practiced killing titans with dummies every single day, they trained over and over, but every training was another step for them to be stronger.

"You have the knife," One of the trainees said to Eren, they were at the field with the others learning defense techniques.

Eren was able to knock down the guy on his own, "Nice!" He said to himself.

He spotted Mikasa who had already taken down most of the guys and it was just remaining her and Annie.

"You have the knife, you know the rules come at me," Mikasa said, she took a defensive stance waiting for Annie to come at her.

"Wow two baddest asses, who do you think would win?" the students whispered their thoughts as they surrounded the scene.

Annie launched herself towards Mikasa, throwing blows as fast as she could, but Mikasa just kept blocking, she dragged the red scarf that was on Mikasa's neck and used it to pull her closer.

The scarf was one that was important to her, so she made sure she was careful, she placed her legs in between Annie's legs and pushed her to the ground.

Mikasa grabbed the knife from the ground, "I win" Mikasa uttered before raising Annie up with her hands.

"In a real fight that would have ended for you, a scarf isn't worth your life" Annie dusted her body before leaving.

"You were awesome," Armin smiled.

"Yeah"

As of this moment, there are three options open to you." Commander Erwin said he's the commander of the high-ranking survey corps, the leading scouts.

"Choose wisely,

"Garrison regiment? They keep control of the walls

Scout regiment, their role basically screams titan and the last, the mp, charged to keep the towns and right-hand guards to the royal family.

You have till tomorrow to decide" Erwin smiled.

They all stood outside, listening to Erwin give them their choices.

"Among you all, we ranked the ten best cadets, who were outstanding in the test.
