Octavia had a very nice dream.
She was floating in an endless space full of light, With her Daddy right beside her. He was smiling and hugging her lovingly while whispering to her how much he loved her.
She wanted to just stay like this forever. Her Daddy was everything she ever needed and she would happily snuggle with him for eternity.
It was a sad thing that she had to wake up, but when she opened her eyes, she found herself in his Daddy's embrace, in a place just like from her dream. She was momentarily stunned into silence before finally realizing where she was. She could feel her Daddy's gentle touch as he stroked her diligently. It was just like in her dream...But it was better... because it was real!
Konrad could feel Octavia finally waking up. He could sense her temporary confusion before it suddenly changed into clear happiness. He wondered what happened to cause such emotions, but when she snuggled into him he could feel her longing, so he smiled and hugged her back.
*...I love you Daddy...* He heard her whisper in his head.
He was surprised, but touched by her display of affection. He knew exactly what to do to make her happy though.
"I love you too Tavy..." He whispered, making Octavia a very happy Slime.
She didn't have to dream, because her greatest dream was actually a reality.

It was a weird feeling for Konrad.
He knew that something changed inside of him but he couldn't exactly put his finger on it. It was as if his entire body was much healthier than before, yet there didn't appear to be any actual changes. It was just...weird.
"Is this how it feels when your body cannot deteriorate? I know that it greatly increased my longevity but I wonder how much it actually did..." He thought.
Konrad was currently observing his Magical Tattoos. The Manifestations of magic had a very mystical feel to it...well... that should have been obvious but still...
Konrad tried to scribble down the words from the magical language, hoping to figure out what it actually ment, but it was a mix of multiple words in a somehow random order. Even though he understood them thanks to his skill, it was still impossible for him to recreate something useful out of it. The only thing that he managed to find out, was an increased amount of words connected with healing and regeneration, that were mixed with space and information related words, allowing Konrad to realize that it was actually the manifestation of all his skills!
He had multiple theories about what actually we're the Skill Orbs he was using and the one theory that was most interesting in his opinion was some kind of purely energy-based formation.
Regretfully, he didn't have any way of confirming this theory. He needed to increase his knowledge of magic before he could make further assumptions.
'Huh...It's already 1 o'clock...Maybe I should make dinner today...I'm sure Mom would appreciate it, and she wanted to make spaghetti today! Even before getting the Cooking Grimoire, spaghetti was one of the few dishes i could actually make quiet proficiently.' Konrad though.
He gave Octavia a 'head' pat and and went to the Kitchen.
Octavia was currently sitting in her private corner where her carrier created a permanent bubble of Aura Of Ignorance. there was a small pile of ores that she was currently working on, trying to absorb, purify, or infuse them with Mana. She wanted to increase her Ore Capacity and figure out a better way of generating more ores.
She was very happy that she actually had her own research now, because she felt more useful and close to Konrad. And it was actually fun!
Whenever Konrad wasn't nearby, Octavia would feel very bored and sad, but now she actually had something fun to do other than occasionally watching anime, so she felt much better about herself.
As she continued working on her own project, Konrad was expertly preparing the spaghetti. As his Mom was currently with his brother, taking a walk outside, He could without problems summon his Grimoire. The book compounded everything he knew on the spaghetti and send it into his memory, but glancing into the book always had the additional benefits of assuring himself or tinkering with the recipe.
The spaghetti was ready in record time as Konrad finally served himself a portion. It was also the best spaghetti he ever ate, which assured him that it wasn't the last time he cooked. He was probably going to do that much more often, if only to taste his own delicious Cooking...
The smell must have been delicious too, because it even caused Octavia to crawl into the kitchen with her carrier on top of her...It was so amusing that Konrad burst out laughing.
"Since when is the carrier the one being carried? Haha!" Konrad joked while laughing.
*Hmph! It was only naturally when I smelt this delicious aroma Daddy!* Replied Octavia with a voice that must have been her interpretation of tsundere... 'He needed to stop her from watching so much anime... but it was so funny that she couldn't even keep up the act for a single sentence... well... at least get Hmph was pretty good. Haha!' He thought amused.
"So? Is my favorite little Slime hungry?" He asked with a smile.
Octavia hearing that instantly dropped her tough act and replied cheerfully.
*Yes Daddy! I want! Gimme!* She crawled closer excitedly and Konrad picked her up before placing her into the carrier that she brought with herself. then she placed it beside him on the table and put a second serving beside the carrier, where Octavia happily extended a slime tentacle to eat it.
After the delicious dinner, the rest of the day passed without any surprises. The duo continued to experiment until the evening.
His mom was very pleased with the dinner he made, and his brother joked that Konrad should start cooking everything from now on. Konrad was happy with the praises but deep down he felt a tinge of pain for keeping so many secrets from them. It felt even worse because he was looking for a way to get his own house, where he could research in peace.
It was still a work in progress since he had to find a stable income and a good excuse but he hoped to have everything ready before this next school year came to an end. That it was his last year of school was another incentive.
All in all the thing he needed was his own personal base. He could keep his stuff in the inventory or in the lottery space, but it wasn't the same as having a place to call his own.
Konrad wanted to break free and explore! Visit different places! Discover new magic! That he had to hide everything from the people around him wasn't a situation that could aid him in that endeavor...
