7 Friendly Talk [7]

Ivy walked in a relaxed lazy manner around the border of his mansion. He was very bored.

After the ceremony it was calm and Ivy had guessed it to be the calm before the storm. Today was a sunny day much like any other day. Ivy thought as to why everything seems to go so fast yet so slow at the same time. How sometimes things can be interesting and other times it can be boring.

The grass didn't move with the wind so the tiny blades stood still and tall wishing to reach for the sky. Ivy showed no mercy to the green shades of grass as he stomped them down with his bare feet. He paced around but a fork came up in his path.

Ivy smiled, finally something worth his interest.

"Hello," a little boy with black hair that reached his little shoulders held out a chubby hand. His ruby eyes showed a childish light as did his posture.

Ivy smiled his cherry lips drawing back ever so lightly taking the little hand in his giving it a few shakes to please the child. "Hello, you must be the prince from the other kingdom," Ivy greeted.

"I thought you weren't informed," the boy's brows drew together with a slight head tilt in confusion.

"I wasn't it was just intuition," Ivy played with the boy.

"I wouldn't be surprised you are extremely talented! I saw you at the ceremony." The boy's eyes glittered as if reminiscing of that moment.

"Would you like to get some tea, your highness?" Ivy laughed.

"Please just call me Ralm!"

"Ralm it is then."

The two five-year-old boys walked into the manor one slightly taller than the other. Toma was bringing in the laundry when she saw them from the corner. She frowned and observed the unknown boy undisclosed as to what her thoughts were.

"Toma, can you get us some tea?" It was unexpected that she was caught and ruby eyes met brown ones, Toma shuddered slightly. She found the boy abnormal.

"Yes young master Ivy," Toma bowed politely and left to prepare drinks and some snacks.

Ivy watched her bustle away before turning his attention back to Ralm. When they made it to the lounge Ivy plopped down on a couch, Ralm sitting in the one in the one opposite of him only a wooden table between them.

"Why did you decide to come here?" Ivy asked seeing as it was abnormal to get a prince visiter.

"My father had some business here so I came along for learning purposes. They say I'm a genius." Ralm trailed off swinging his legs leisurely with a permanent smile. "I escaped though and came to see you. I never had a friend before so I wanted to see if we could become friends!" His cheeks puffed out adorably and innocently declared. The sincerity would probably make any other kid near his age gladly accept the friendship.

Before Ivy could comment the door swung open revealing a cart of snacks and tea. Toma carefully and professionally placed them down on the table. When she was done Ivy gave thanks and sent her out, which Toma gave a glare to. With the click of the door, he gave the boy another once over, taking his teacup in his palms and giving it a sip.

"It's not the best tea so I don't think it's necessarily fit for your taste."

"You sound a lot like my butlers and maids." The boy giggled giving his tea a gulp, not very manner-like.

He's a kid, after all, a five-year-old who seems oddly out of place. Ivy didn't feel the boy had any fear towards him or anyone at all. Unlike an average person his age.

"You think so?... You know, I heard princes were brats, does that include you?" Ivy dropped a sugar cube into his drink causing it to splash and dribble onto the table. His words had a trace of threat and poison yet was said with casual poise many would think it was a lighthearted friendly conversation. Ivy just wanted to play with his words and test/tease him, how far can he take his words before crying?

Unexpectedly the boy gave no anger or irritation, instead, his face bloomed into a warm kind smile. Ivy didn't know if he was just really good at camouflaging his thoughts or he too was playing with Ivy. Unfit of someone his age, Ivy thought again.

"I could say the same to you." Ralm sweetly uttered with a youthful glint curtly dropping a sugar cube into his tea just like Ivy. Copying the action as if mocking it.

Ivy's eyes widened in surprise, but then he laughed covering his mouth to try to get the smile to go down. Ivy found someone quite interesting today. He had thought about the events leading up until now, the boy fit the description.

He finally knew why Ralm piqued his curiosity. Not to mention his only thoughts with talking to the boy was to mess with him, maybe even make him cry. But upon talking with him for a few minutes he guessed there was more than what was told on the surface. Not a typical five-year-old.

Ralm was a psychopath.

"Is the friend offer still being handed out or do I need to rearrange an appointment?"

If Nole was here he would be brewing in ravenous jealously.
