1 ~URGE

Eleanor sat on the couch of the living room with her parents around her. Her Mom, Georgia, had her daughter's notebook where Eleanor used to write lyrics for her songs and Her Dad, Caleb, had his daughter's guitar on his hand. Both the Parents were taunting her just because she had a special interest for songs and music.

"Music won't feed you" Georgia spoke

"Everyone will laugh at you in the future" Caleb fired

"Look at your friends, they're busy studying all day, they don't even take any interest in these things like you do" Georgia compared Eleanor with her friends.

"I'm telling you Eleanor, Music is ruining your life. Quit it before you regret" was all Caleb spoke before grabbing a wire cutter and cutting the guitar chords mercilessly.

The scene of her lovely guitar getting destroyed infront of her eyes, broke her completely. She felt suffocated inside the house. Music was her life, she treasured it more than her own life. It wasn't that she failed in her tests, although she couldn't come first in her class, she always stood above average.

The only problem was that her parents would never get satisfied no matter how hard she tries. They always wanted and expected more from her and they would never appreciate her for her achievements.

She suddenly stood up from the couch and,

"I am 18 already, I can manage myself and no matter what you guys say, I will continue pursuing in Music. Mom, Dad, I can walk on my own so please don't try to control me ever. I'm done" Eleanor shouted with her tears falling non stop from her puffy red eyes. Just as Caleb was about to say something to his daughter, his wife stopped him from doing so.

Eleanor had it all, she couldn't resist it anymore. Her life bring controlled without her concern for several years, was way too much for her. Her Mom sat beside her on the couch, "You know what we do is all for you, we just want you to lead a desirable life." Georgia spoke as she patted her daughter's back

"NO Mom, you're wrong. You all made me do the things I didn't want, but never made me do the things which I wanted to. There's a huge difference in it Mom, you guys make me feel as if I'm just being used and I'm done for the last and final time."

Eleanor spoke what she wanted and within a blink, she stormed off the house towards the woods, she heard her parents calling out her name but she didn't give a damn.

Eleanor was finally relieved that she had completed her URGE to get away from the negativity around her.
