Chapter 8

"B-boss! please save me!", Gambit cried out in a desperate voice while he was tied to a tree using ropes.

"Shut up!"

A random member of Artemis familia harshly slapped Gambit shutting him up, but she was unable to stop the large drops of tears falling out off Gambit's eyes.

Although knowing his character it was probably all an act.

"What do you think Orion?", Goddess Artemis left Gambit's final judgement in William's hand.

After he told her there was already a familia he wanted to join, Artemis at first tried to convince him otherwise, saying that her familia was best suited for him, but she fell silent under William's continuous refusal.

Looking at Gambit, William considered his choices.

First of all he remembered an important detail he managed to acquire from Artemis.

"You're familia is going to the dungeon City, Yes?", Instead of replying he asked a question in return.

"Yes Orion, but first we will be investigating a dungeon which is on the way.", Goddess Artemis said.

"Would you like to come with us?Orion?"

Hearing her reply William fell silent.

The only reason he took Gambit with him was because he needed someone who knew the local area well.

But if he were to travel with the Artemis familia, his journey will obviously be way faster and smoother.

William carefully looked at the adventurer's around him....level1, level2 and there was even a level3 captain.

This type of strength isn't considered weak at all even inside the dungeon City.

So will it be better to go solo like before or to go with the Artemis familia?

At this moment even William didn't notice just how much his thoughts have changed.

If it was the him before then.

There wouldn't have been so much thinking.

But now.

"Then I will be in goddess's care", William said while bowing his head towards Artemis.

A small smile appeared on Goddess Artemis's face when she heard William's reply.

"Then let's kill him.", The Half-Elf Lante said while pressing her dagger against Gambit's neck making him struggle violently.

"These are all of our recent findings about the situation of forest.", Rethusa said while she placed several marked maps on top of the stone slab.

"Looking at all the evidence we found, i think it is right to assume that the monster sealed within the dungeon has been freed."

"I think we should...."

William watched Artemis familia discuss their plan for the dungeon from a distance, after all at the end of the day he was not one of them, it was already generous of them to allow him to travel with them.

As he looked at them seriously discussing their plans William eyes became dazed as several familia faces passed through his mind making his feel inexplicable inside.

Then with a blink of his eyes he came back to his sense.

"How unlike me..."

William muttered to himself while shaking his head.

Under the guidance of the sun, a big group of hunters traversed through the forest.

At first Goddess Artemis was worried that William might not be able to keep up with them but as she watched over him her worry slowly turn into astonishment.

Because not only was William not falling behind, he was actually managing to keep up with them.

And not only that.

'Is he copying me?', Goddess Artemis's eyes widened, forest was her home ground so of course she was able to traverse freely through it with little effort and seeing William's movements she concluded that he seems to be imitating her?

'Wonderful Orion!', She silently cheered in her mind and suddenly changed her flow.

Right behind her William's flow also changed with her.

William's comprehension ability was never bad, after all reaching the level of Sword Saint wasn't something one can achieve with effort alone.

"I see it the dungeon", The leader Rethusa who was leading the group shouted in a loud voice.

While everyone was feeling a little tense, a familiar person carrying Gambit who was twice her size came beside William.

"Hey are you sure we need this guy?", The Half elf Lante asked with an unwilling face, she couldn't understand why they kept this guy alive.

Even if they didn't kill him, why the hell did she have to be the one to carry him!

She was feeling very annoyed.

William gave Lante a glance before following behind Goddess Artemis.

He still very clearly remembered that punch.

"H-hey don't ignore me!"

William ignored her.

Though there wasn't much reason behind him bringing Gambit with them.

He could be gotten rid of anytime they want and who knows he might just come in handy somewhere.

Gambit also understood this point very clearly, that's why he stopped making a fuss and calmly let Lante carry him without causing trouble.

"Here it is."

The forest parted revealing an ancient looking dungeon door, William looked at it with interest.

It was his first time seeing a dungeon other than the great Labrinth.
