Chapter 20: Crazy Familia.

Haruhine still clearly remember those days.

'You don't deserve to be saved.'

When they first met.

'Become the hero that you need.'

When he saved her life.

'...I'll leave the rest to you then...'

As well as the day he so suddenly...left.....

Haruhine's breathing unknowingly became hurried.

Looking at his familiar face which was right in front of her, she felt her extremely suffocated.

'Just why?'

She wanted to ask him.

'Just why did you leave?'

She wanted to blame him.

'Is it because we were not good enough? because I was incompetent?'

The worse feeling in the world.

Being unable to choose how to live you're own life.

Being forced into making decisions you never wanted to make.

Only when the world puts you in such situations, will you truly be able to understand just how terrible it feels.

And she Haruhime, has been placed in such situations way too many times.

Haruhine's eyes became blurry.

'That was the reason....'

She pushed herself to the limits.

'That was the reason....'

To not be placed in such situations again.

'That was the reason....'

She managed to become a level5 in such a short amount of time.

Her breathing calmed down, her chest which felt like it was about to explode was forcefully suppressed, but the fire burning in her heart only grew stronger.

Strong enough to be a hero.

Strong enough to change her destiny.

And...

Strong enough to not let him get away again.

Still in William's arms, Haruhine raised her hand and tightly grabbed his collar forcefully bringing his expressionless face closer to her.

"Hey."

Through her gritted teeth, she said in a fierce voice.

"This time....."

A pair of indifferent and teary red eyes stared straight at each other.

"I won't allow you to leave."

It was not a suggestion, but a declaration.

How are you alive?, where were you all this time?, why did you leave?

Such questions were unnecessary.

'Since you have returned....'

Only one thing mattered.

'Then you can forget about leaving.....ever again.....'

William tilted his head as he felt Haruhine holding onto his clothes.

'Her strength increased by a large margin.'

A glint flashed through William's eyes as he looked down at her.

It was out of his expectations.

The fact that Haruhime actually threatened him on their reunion.

'You have changed much Haruhime.....'

Seeing her beat red eyes which seem to be spewing flames at him, William only had one though.

'How unexpected.'

The corner of his mouth raised unconsciously.

'Not that I hate it.'

[Soma familia.]

Goddess Artemis arrives before a simple looking wooden door.

"Please enter God Soma is waiting for you", An adventurer said in a respectful tone before pointing towards the door.

Giving him a simple nod, Goddess Artemis took in a deep breath before placing her hand on the door and pushing it open.

The figure of a familiar man with bangles covering his eyes appeared before Artemis as soon as she entered.

Standing by the open window, he gave a kind smile and said.

"Welcome Artemis, it's been a long time since we've met."

Seeing the scene in front of her Goddess Artemis was shocked.

"It's been a long journey, I know you must have been tired, so please take a seat, Ah please bring some tea for out guest Melly."

"Yes God Soma!"

The maid quickly in a hurry.

She couldn't believe her eyes.

The Soma who she knew was a complete shit in.

But this....

Neat clothes, a sunny atmosphere and a kind smile...

Just how did he change so much?

"Artemis?"

God Soma's concerned voice brought her out of her reverie.

"Nothing...."

Speaking in a small voice she quitly took the seat and sat in front of Soma.

Although she was surprised by his change, Goddess Artemis didn't plan to let her guard down.

After all she was here for a very important reason.

"Soma..."

Artemis hesitated for a moment before continuing in a determined voice.

"There is something we must discuss."

"Yes?"

"It's about my child Orion....", Artemis said, making sure to put extra emphasis on the 'my child' part.

Seeing that there was no major reaction from Soma, Artemis couldn't help but feel a little relieved.

"You see I found this child while travelling through the great forest, our first meeting was unexpected...."

The more she talked the more her emotions rushed out.

"The moment I saw him, I knew without a doubt that he was my Orion, the belief only grew stronger the more time we spent together..."

Goddess Artemis placed her hand over her chest.

"He saved me and my familia, he risked his life to save us, not even asking anything in return, he might appear cold on the outside, but I know on the inside he truly cares..."

"That is why Soma....."

Standing up from her seat, Goddess Artemis deeply bowed her head and said in an agitated voice.

"Please don't take my Orion away, please Soma, I-I have never felt like this before, this feeling which I feel when I am with Orion is foreign but calming at the same time and I-I do not wish to loose it....."

Raising her head she stared at him.

"I heard it when I was coming here, I saw how powerful you're familia is, I don't think it will affect you even if my Orion was to stay with me, so please....,"

With begging eyes she looked straight at him.

Through the entire process the kind smile never left God Soma's face.

*Clank*

"I've brought tea!"

The maid suddenly came in, put down the tea and snacks before leaving quickly.

The sudden distraction seemed to have calmed down Goddess Artemis but she still couldn't hide her shaking eyes especially since God Soma has yet to say anything.

"Soma as I said-------"

God Soma suddenly raised his hand interrupting her.

"Let's drink some tea first, you must be thirsty after the long journey."

"Ah....."

Goddess Artemis was left stunned, unlike what she expected Soma didn't show any great reaction even after all she said.

Which could only mean one thing.

That her Orion wasn't a big deal for him at all!

'I'm relieved...'

She was prepared to fight for her Orion fir bigger end, but it looks like things might progress much smoother than she originally thought?

And at the end of the day her Orion had her blessing so until she allowed it nobody can really get him away from her.

As her thoughts reached this point, Goddess Artemis visibly relaxed her guard.

Yes that's right.

Her Orion won't be going anywhere.

Not until she allowed it.

Feeling her dry throat Goddess Artemis raised her tea cup and drank from it.

'A little sweet.'

Although she thought so, Goddess Artemis quickly finished her cup in one gulp before placing it down.

"Did you like the tea?"

Goddess Artemis nodded her head, although the tea was a little sweet, it still nonetheless tasted great.

But that wasn't the point.

Goddess Artemis felt her vision blurr a little, so she quickly said.

"Soma my child Orion---------"

But it was then.

"William."

A sudden strong voice stopped her in her track, making her look at Soma in confusion.

"Just William, don't give my child stupid nicknames."

As she got a clear look at his face, Goddess Artemis noticed that God Soma was no longer laughing.

But before she could do anything, she felt herself loosing control of her body.

And the last thing she heard before loosing consciousness....

"No one is allowed to take my child away, especially a weakling like you."

Chilled her soul to the extreme.

Right after, the maid who served them tea, slowly entered through the door and stopped right beside the unconscious Artemis.

The light from the window fell on the maid's face revealing her identity, she was the first member to join William's side, Emile.

"Her familia members?"

God Soma asked.

"Drugged,Captured,Basement"

The three words were enough for God Soma to understand making him nod in satisfaction before he picked up his tea cup and took a sip.

"It's sweet."

Standing up from his seat, God Soma together with Emile looked down at Goddess Artemis with cold eyes.
