[The City Of Bones]

She dared a look over her shoulder and sure enough the green eyed man was barreling towards her at an inhuman speed. Desperately crawling into an abandoned alley she was left alone, with nothing but moonlight and this man in front of her. She stared, mouth wide open, in absolute horror, as he crouched forward, looking her up and down. His skin looking paler, and the moonlight giving it a blush gray hue. His pearly white canines poked out of his lips as he smiled. The mans sandy blonde hair covered half of his face but that didn't stop him from piercing her with his gaze. "I told you I v'ould find you," he spoke darkly with a thick Russian accent as he backed her into an alley; his eyes scanning over her as Silla tried to remember where she had seen those eyes before; a distant throb in the back of her mind not allowing her to. Chapter Thirteen: Anarchy

Trying to squeeze more information out and lighten up the now quiet atmosphere she spoke, "S-So... Umm..."

W-What about my friends and family? Will I be a-ble to see them?" She muttered. Silla was hopeful, but she was still unsure of her future.

"Nyet."

Her face dropped.

No way.

She would never be able to see...

Her friends...

Memories dashed in her head and she hoped only for one thing.

"C-Can I see them one... Last time?"

His face fell a little, and he eventually mulled it over sighing as he nodded his head. "Take me to your parents house."

Had he actually listened to her? She more or less hoped he wouldn't. She just wanted to be home in her apartment and not have a surprise visit with her dad but she was too nervous to tell him otherwise.

"I have something to do there."

He knocked on the front door of the family home and no one answered so she went ahead and opened the door with the spare key under the doormat.

"Are your parents here?" He asked and she nodded as she saw her father's new maglev in the driveway.

"O-Only my dad, though... My mom... Died."

"Hmm..."

Coming down the stairs at the sound of voices, her father yelled, "Whore, what the fuck did you do? Why is this man here?" He slurred his words looking at the green eyes mans luxurious clothes with an envious look on his face.

"Sorry, he's been drinking. He isn't usually like this," she said lying about the last part as she looked at her fathers aged withered face. Looking at him now most wouldn't recognize the man he used to be; which in honesty wasn't much.

"Sign below on z'is official document if you agree to the conditions." He spoke an evil glint in his eyes and handed her father a simple handheld device.

The old man quickly rolled his eyes at the overly elegant and formal tone he was presented with as he pressed the green button showing a 3D document popping up the words digitized so only he could read it from where he stood.

He started reading it and Silla just stood there a bit clueless. "Deal. But I wanna add another fifty thousand Crites. She's pure and untouched. Surely that brings her price up." Silla's father said talking about Crites- City credits their currency confusing her even more.

"We v'ould need a doctor to confirm z'at and once he does you can get the extra Crites," The green eyes man spoke hiding his smirk.

"D-Dad what are you guys t-alking about?" She asked but they ignored her.

"Take her then." Her father smiled with a clear look of pure greed on his face.

"Wait a damn minute did you just fucking sell me?" Silla yelled as it finally clicked in her head. He just sold her beautiful hand to this crazy nut? It came as no surprise as women were sold to all the time in the city but that was not gonna happen to her. Especially by her father no less.

"Silla you better be a virgin or gods help me I will murder you," he threatened.

"Fuck this. I-I'm not some object to be sold-" Silla was cut off when she was grabbed from behind and dragged back to the large holocraft.

Once they were back in the large floating vehicle she spoke. "L-Look I'm not worth much and frankly you should just take me to my home now, I will pay double whatever my father was offered." She offered trying to save her skin.

Sighing the green eyed man dangerously leaned over effectively pinning her to the seat. "Your deal is quite tempting but v'here v'ill you get the all the money? Surely by the v'ay you dress you aren't z'at v'ell off. In order to pay off a sum z'at large you and your children's children v'ould spend z'eir lives slaving away in my ore mines.  Although to your credit, my dear, your cleverness is quite adorable but sadly for you are not going home again," he grinned elegantly propping up his head with his arm as he gently caressed the side of her face with his other.

Meanwhile, inside her head she debated telling him about Cain. If he wanted to hurt her on purpose, he would've already and just maybe he would leave her alone. "You don't understand I have to go home. I have a child to take care of," She explained purposely making it so he would misunderstand and think what she wanted him to. Of course she didn't like using Cain like that but hopefully her acting skills would set her free.

"Child?"

Shock filled his face as his furious eyes looked into hers. He seemed to be angry but even she could see the immense pain behind it and the empath in her kind of regretted it. "Ya bylo slishkom pozdno," he spoke to himself solemnly.

"Who is z'e father?" He asked her in a more calm yet wounded voice. She thought about playing along but if he saw Cain he would know that she was not his birth mother as they looked too different; though if he knew they weren't blood related he might not take her home.

"I don't know," She told him. It was a half truth she never knew Cain's biological father. So technically not lying. He looked at her curiously and nodded his head as if he knew better than to ask about it.

"Fine I v'ill take you," he snapped his fingers at the driver as she gave him the coordinates.

As they pulled up, Silla became even more anxious. She was sure Angel was panicking, and she had no idea where Clovis was or if she was even alive. Their night out had turned into chaos and Cain was likely up past his bedtime worrying.

She came up to the door and saw the hallway deathly silent. Everyone was probably boarded up in their home while Black Sun was attacking; waiting it out.

Knocking on the door she waited anxiously. Hopefully, they were safe and sound on the inside.

Behind her the green eyed man stood still like a shadow following her around. Unfortunately as soon as he caught up to her Zelan and Katya opened the door.

"Where have you been!? We've been so worried-" Shock and relief flooded their faces as Katya ran to her and embraced her in a tight hug. Looking closely at her friend, she noticed Katya had tear stains running down her face and her her finger nails were bit off.

Though their reunion didn't last long as both of them stopped and stared behind her at the man who was silently seething at the fact that she lived with another man.

"Umm... Silla there's a strange man behind you." Katya questioned her nervously as she stared at the man standing in the doorway who might she add barely could fit through.

Sweating nervously she ignored her question and asked the question she was dying to know the most. "Where's Cain-" She spoke but was suddenly cut off as a small body knocked her over and squeezing her torso in a back breaking hug.

"Silla!" Cain cutely cried as she pinched his cheeks. Behind him Zelan dragged his feet to the doorway.

"Silla."

"Yes Zelan?" she replied.

"Who's this and the answer better be that you don't know him or he's our new mail man who for some reason is delivering at night?"

"N-No Zelan. This is just... M-My friend." She quickly came up with an excuse.

Friend...

Friend.

Boyfriend.

"You- you have a-a boyfriend-?" Zelan looked at her utterly crushed on the inside and turned his gaze behind her. Annoyed she turned around to see the man still there by the doorway watching everything.

"Why are you still here?" She asked him.

He took her home.

So shouldn't he have left already?

"I told you I v'ould take you home. I never said I v'ould let you stay," he spoke darkly with a wicked smirk on his face.

No no no no no!

That wasn't part of the deal! Upon seeing her horrified expression, he laughed as he stepped towards Cain.

Protectively she put both the young boy behind her. Silla knew she didn't stand a chance in hell, but she didn't care. With ease the crazy man in her apartment moved her over and examined Thale. "V'hy does he look nothing like you?" He stated confused. It seemed he hadn't put two and two together yet.

"Well duh, she's not his actual biological parent. She's barely even an adult and felt bad, so she picked this little brat off the street," Zelan said blindly pointing to an angry boy who tried to hit him but was held back by Zelan's hand pushing him back by his forehead starting a sissy fight.

Silla's eyes widened in fear.

Fuck...

"What..." The man questioned as the atmosphere around him grew darker while he slowly turned his head to Silla's; his frighteningly wide eyes connecting with hers.

"Wait... Are you serious? Pft, y-ou thought our little devstvennik got k-nocked up?" Katya laughed obnoxiously at the idea or the very insinuation as she proudly held her nose high in the air as Silla turned red from embarrassment and rage. It seemed they didn't quite understanding the danger they were in.

"HA... HAHAHA! Silla's not- HAHAH- getting married-HAHA- till she's forty I- I'll chase t-those... HAHA... p-pesky boys a-away- HAHA- until then," Zelan wrapped his arms around her laughing while wiping his tears away not reading the hostile environment.

It was official.

Her friends were complete idiots.

"You...."

The green eyed man said looking at her with a livid expression his right eyebrow twitching right before all hell broke loose. He tackled Silla to the ground wrapping his arms around her body. While he did this, she immediately screamed.

"GET OFF ME! AHHH-MFHPH!" She yelled as he held her or rather pinned her to the floor while slightly lifting her large shirt up to reveal her stomach. Anxiously she wondered what he was doing as he held her squirming body still and examined her.

"W-What t-he h-hell a-re you-you doing?" She questioned him genuinely weirded out as he gently pressed his large hand against her lower stomach; seemingly feeling the area. Sighing in relief and shaking his head he looked down at her and gazed deeply into her blue eyes as if asking some unanswered question. Probably wondering why she lied in the first place.

"Vy budete tol'ko kogda-libo vynashivat moi deti," he whispered in his native tongue while placing a gentle kiss on her stomach causing Silla's cheeks to flare red at his actions.

She would have to ask Katya who was fluent in Russian to tell her what he said, however, she might not want to know the answer because of Katya's reaction just now. Seeing as her friend was gaping like a fish in the corner as if her soul had just left her body.

"Can I at least pack a bag?" She meekly asked him to get his mind off the fact that she completely bullshitted him earlier.

"Nyet."

"Why? W-ouldn't it be more e-efficient to have my necessities with me?" She questioned him with a look of confusion on her face at his shenanigans. He made absolutely no sense.

"I v'ill provide everything you need," he blatantly answered to which her jaw dropped. This man was insane.

Why is he doing this to her?

Why is he terrorizing her?

Why her?

"Zis my dear is v'hat you get for lying to me," he whispered in her ear as he suddenly threw her small body over his large shoulder causing pain to shoot threw the left side of her chest.

She had completely forgotten about her bruised ribs. With the alcohol and adrenaline wearing off it was becoming more and more apparent how straining her previous movements were to her already weak body.

Shit, this isn't wasn't good.

The pain spreads. She had to get down before things get worse.

"P-lease let m-e down!" She begged him.

He adjusts her body, causing a burst of pain in her ribs. Without even slowing his pace, he flys down the apartments flight of stairs.

Man, this guy didn't stop, not even tiring once. She was having trouble breathing. "Please," she gasped.

"Let me go!"

Ignoring her, he continued his unwavering stride towards his vehicle as Cain worriedly followed behind like a lost puppy. She looked up at him the wind knocked out of her as the green eyed man gently deposited her on a soft seat cushion. The left side of her ribs was on fire.

Dazed, she tried to get up but the pain that shot up her side was unbearable and almost impossible to hide; forcing her back down onto the seat.

This wasn't going to end well.

She'd already hurt her ribs multiple times due to her fathers ruthlessness. She never had money to get medical care whenever she had bruised or broken ribs. So she had to let them heal on their own. Which ended up in several of her ribs not healing right and causing many complications.

"Wait!" A voice suddenly yelled stopping the floating vehicle causing the green eyed man only to slightly turn his head. Behind them was a panting Zelan and Katya as they struggled to catch up.

"Take me with you!" Katya shouted desperately. Silla's eyes widening at her friends.

"No."

"Please!"

"No."

"We're begging yo-"

"No."

Exasperated Zelan made one last offer. "We'll do anything! Anything you want!"

"Anything?"

"Yes!"

Little did they know they had just made a deal with the devil.

"Fine," he spoke as he smirked back at her while Katya's eyes seemed to light up with hope. This man was absolutely infuriating.

They sat down in the holocraft and her friends sat in the front as they flew to Wilhelm, Silla had to desperately keep her wheezing unnoticeable. Though every few minutes she would get a worried and questioning glance from the green eyed man. It seemed like he could almost sense something was wrong but just didn't know what.

As they pulled up, she gazed upon the colossal building finally arriving she felt so tiny and insignificant standing in front of it.

It was a motel of sorts, with a casino, bars, and restaurants. The place was crazy intimidating yet interesting. Silla carefully picked up a sleeping Cain and carried him in her arms as Zelan and Katya exited the vehicle, a valet came to collect the keys from the driver. However, before the valet left, he stopped and winked at Silla who sat in the front unknowingly aggravating the man next to her to no end.

Once she too exited, she was surprised as the valet from earlier was flung around the lot much to her surprise. The green eyed man smirked while he watched the poor valet lay on the ground unmoving after he picked him up by his collar and flung him like a piece of paper.

"Umm... He isn't dead, is he? The valet?" she mumbled.

"Should I kill him?" He asked nonchalantly popping back up behind her. Walked beside the him, he wrapped his arm around Silla tightly and pulled her to him much to her dismay. She instinctively used him as a crutch due to her ribs but else wise she wouldn't touch him with a six foot poll.

Upon entry into the building, she was greeted with a large reception, the lights and color scheme a dark red, purple, and green.

It seemed as if everyone's eyes were on them most likely due to how much they stood out. The people there all seemed to wear expensive designer clothes while she and her friends wore cheap thrift shop items. The only one of the group that remotely blended in was the man glued to her side.

Five ladies that looked almost identical greeted them, and Sill wasn't just saying that because they were all blonde. No way, they all had to be sisters! Not to mention the clothes, they wore, of black and gray, with the exact same hairstyle in a bun, manicured clear nails with white at the top and standing in the same, straight position behind a long, semi circle desk.

Soon after checking in the woman at the desk nervously asked for his crite card. Once he handed it and she scanned it her eyes widened looking back and forth seemingly panicking.

Just who was this man?

"F-five t-thousand c-crites a n-night Mr.

B-anehallow," she meekly said handing him his black shiny platinum card back. A part of her felt sorry for the poor woman as she looked like she was about to shit herself. Excitedly Katya took Cain out of her arms and promptly started to explore. Upon heading to the elevator, a man in black awaited them and politely greeted her giving the green eyed man now known as Banehallow the key to the room they rented.

Once inside the elevator she was alone everyone else had stopped to take a look at things and rearrange their own items. Silla would just have to wait and hold the door open whilst they did so.

However in the elevator was another man.

He was right next to her also occupying the elevator and from the corner of her eyes, she could tell he was looking at her. In all honesty it was starting to creep her out as his eyes lingered on her backside a little too long.

Looking at the elevator button panel her breathing became uneven as she comprehended the amount of floors while looking at the elevator buttons.

Forty floors.

How crazy this was. Silla did not want to be here with this unknown man who kidnapped her in unfamiliar territory.

Though Silla was brought out of her stupor when she felt a hand touch her lower back and start to glide further down. The other man in the elevator smirking down at her with his lustful beady eyes and she couldn't help but flinch causing her ribs hurt even more.
