14 Relieving some Frustration

It's day 2 and we're currently warming up for our match against Iwai Middle school. Too bad for them that my sleep didn't dissuade me from blowing off some steam against them.

"" Katagiri Junior High vs Iwai Middle School will begin shortly, players please shake hands and then take your positions.""

"We's gonna crush you pipsqueaks like bugs." This big guy comes over to me and holds his hand out.

"Ahh good, I no longer have to feel bad about relieving some frustration this game. Please don't hold against my team." I respond with a bright smile before I let my eyes go sharp and a wicked smirk to spread on my face. The big guys knees started to shake and sweat was pouring down his face as I gripped his hand harder. I slight tug of his hand and he was on his knees as I looked down at him.

"Like I said I'm going to be relieving some frustration, you didn't actually do anything to warrant this. You're team is just an unlucky bystander. Good luck in the match." As I finish I let go of his hand and give him a clap on the shoulder as I pass him. His teammates rush to help him up and glare at me as I walk away.

Alright 48%, and with that the air on the court thickens and it becomes harder for the opposing team to move and breathe. Their breaths come in rapid short inhales and exhales, and they could have sworn they saw a black aura waving around me. We took our spots and my team easily won the opening tip off with Iwai's jumper panicking and jumping too late.

The ball immediately found its way into my hands and I showed a bloodthirsty grin to my opponents.

"Don't worry, this will be over shortly. Haha."

2 of them gained some resolve and tried to double team me, but they were so slow I just crossed them up and they fell on top of each other. I stared at them while I shot the ball from 3, swish.

They go to inbound the ball and I snag it out the air and do a lay up. Every time they inbounded it, it seemed to them that the ball was magnetized to me. Left, right, low or high they would see a few dark black feathers and then a hand coming out of nowhere and stealing the ball. They couldn't figure out how to stop it.

Finally they had a guy stand right in front of the inbounder, and finally managed to pass it in, but as soon as he dribbled I speared it out and dribbled to the hoop. I used my Raven eyes to see if anyone was chasing me, but they weren't. However they were all watching, and I take a peak into the stands to see shocked looks on everyone's face. Along grim faces from Teiko.

I couldn't stop the grin from spreading across my face, at what I had decided. I tossed in a lay up and jogged back. The other team seemed shocked that I left their side of the court and my teammates did a little too, but seeing the grin and wild look in my eyes they knew that whatever I had planned was not good for the other team.

They finally crossed mid court and seemed to show some life thinking that I had tired myself out and they could make the comeback. The biggest guy cockily made his way down the middle and just pushed people out the way. As soon as he went for a lay up you could swear there were feathers falling right before the ball was slapped out of the air.

I grabbed it and proceeded to dribble circles around their team, making each one fall in their hand knees or their butt before I charged to goal. I didn't stop out side the arc for a 3, I didn't shoot a lazy 2, I didn't slow down for a lay up. No. I tossed the ball to the backboard and continued running. I jumped from 5 feet away catching the ball on its bounce back from the back board with both hands and slammed it into the net as I hung from the rim.

That's right I dunked it.

"Hahaha." I could only laugh at everyone's shocked faces, even my teammates had never seen me dunk before. I looked up into the stand to see the shocked expressions of the Teiko members, even Murasakibara seemed surprised.

I jog back to mid court where the first player I met of Iwai before the game was standing still looking at the hoop.

"Your ball." I said as I clapped him on the shoulder again. He was saved by the sound of the 1st quarter buzzer ending though. I looked up to the scoreboard and it read: Katagiri 54-0 Iwai. I had to let off a little chuckle again as even I hadn't realized it was that bad.

[3rd person POV]

Momoi begins to speak in shock, while looking at her paper with the stats she's been keeping of the game.

"I don't believe it. He shot 100% from 3 with 10/10, and the rest were all layups or lazy shots inside the arc until that dunk. How can he even dunk at 12 years old. Not only that his steals, they are insane. At the end of the first quarter he has 21 steals and 1 block. He didn't let them cross half court until he decided to block that layup and then dunk it."

"That's insane." Aomine spoke up.

Kuroko had a tense expression on his face, as he stared down at the court. Akashi was currently weighing the possible outcomes of a Teiko vs Katagiri match up and it wasn't looking favorable for Teiko. Which brought a strange feeling to him, it was the possibility of defeat. Murasakibara while surprised by the dunk didn't think much besides that he needed more snacks. Midorima just sat there with a similar expression to Kuroko as he listened to Momoi while keeping his eyes in the court.

It was obvious that Iwai had already given up to anybody that was watching, and that was made clear when the coach of Iwai threw in a towel and said.

"We forfeit, the players no longer want to play and I can longer sit and watch all their hard work be crushed by a monster."

""Iwai Middle School has forfeited the match! Katagiri will advance to round 4. Players meet in the middle and shake hands.""

Ryosei probably could have been more mature, and just shook hands and bowed but they stopped him to early. He didn't get to relieve all his frustration. He walked up to the guy that said they would crush them.

"I didn't know you guys were scared of a little bug?"

The player clenches his fist and then grits his teeth before winding up and throwing a punch at Ryosei, but Ryosei merely jumps back and starts laughing.

"Hahaha, you actually tried to punch me haha! Hey coach you need better control of your players. What you running over there, a fight club?" Ryosei turns towards the Iwai coach.

"You disrespectful little brat!" He says while clenching his own fist and gritting his teeth.

"Oh no are you going to try and punch me too? That's not setting a good example for your players is it?" All the players tense and can only glare at Ryosei. The Iwai coach huffs and adjusts his tie before glaring back at Ryosei.

"People like you are despicable, you little brat. You have a little talent and then come to flaunt it by trying your hardest and showing off against people who actually put in hard work to get better." He looked like he wanted to continue, but Ryosei had already started laughing again.

"You're pretty high and mighty for a coach of a bunch of giants hahaha. You think you would have made it this far if you didn't have players all taller than even my teams tallest? Besides I didn't even use half my full strength haha. Only 48% was enough to turn this team of giants into little kids, exposing their terrible teamwork and basketball skill. Which reflects back at the coach." I finish pointing at the coach before continuing again.

"As for the hard work part I can promise I put in more than anybody else in this gym and maybe that's the problem. I got too good too soon, and everyone else is too far behind. Now you forfeited so get off the court."

Besides a brief look of shock the Iwai coach kept his same annoyed glare before turning and looking at his player. Nodding to them they exited the court and eventually the stadium. Once they did, Ryosei went back to his usual aloof expression, and turned to his teammates.

"Man, sorry you guys had to see that, but the nerves on that guy that tried to punch me. Not to mention the coach looked ready to swing too."

Everyone deadpanned at Ryosei before speaking in unison.

""Ya crazy, I can't believe they would do that.""

"Why do I feel like you guys are being sarcastic?"

""Oh whatever gave you that idea Captain. We are in complete disbelief.""

"Alright, alright I know I went a little overboard. Grab your stuff and head to the stand we have another couple hours until our next match."

The deadpan faces left and they all bowed quickly.

""Yes Captain!""

With that the block B court was cleared and everyone finally took in a new breath as they realized they had just seen something amazing in that last game. The stadium erupted in conversation as everyone talked about the raven haired kid that beat a whole team by himself.

Eventually the conversations became so jumbled that they just started calling him The Raven, just like in his past life. However this time it was said more as you don't want to play against The Raven he's bad news. As Ravens are seen as symbols of death and bad omens in some cultures. One thing was unanimous amongst the spectators though, they wanted to see just how far the Raven would go.

Author's Note

I gotta be honest I haven't been that happy with these last couple of chapters. Maybe I'm overthinking and everyone will enjoy them, but I can't help but over think it.

We got to see more of Ryosei's personality deep through to the surface, as well as see that he can dunk. And it was no lie in the amount of practice that Ryosei has put himself through. He expected everything to be way harder, but didn't realize how strong just the wishes he made would make him. So he ended up over preparing for the early stages.

Also I think I'm going to speed through the next 3 matches and just showcase the match against Kamata West in the next chapter, but I guess we'll see how I'm feeling when I start to write it.

Hope you enjoyed.
