Chapter 15: Broken building

Lucas roamed the dark forest, his senses on high alert. He had seen many strange things during his journey, but nothing quite like the mysterious building he stumbled upon. It was old and decrepit, its walls seemingly held together by cobwebs and shadows.

Lucas crept deeper into the building, his feathers standing on end. He could feel an unseen force watching him, its presence palpable in the air. He heard the giggling laughter again, closer this time, and he could sense the young girl's presence growing stronger.

As he made his way down the hall, he noticed strange symbols etched into the walls, their meaning unknown to him. He felt a sense of foreboding wash over him, and he began to regret his decision to venture into this place. But something inside him, a force beyond his control, compelled him to continue.

The footsteps grew louder, the sound of someone running with purpose echoing off the walls. Lucas could feel his heart pounding in his chest, his instincts telling him to flee. But he couldn't, not when the answer to his many questions lay just ahead.

He rounded a corner and came face to face with the young girl. She was even more terrifying than he could have imagined. Her skin was pale, almost translucent, and her eyes glowed with an unearthly light. Lucas felt his knees go weak, and he stumbled back, his wings flapping in terror.

But the young girl only laughed, the sound filling the air and echoing through the halls. She took a step forward, and Lucas could feel her cold breath on his face. She reached out, her hand wrapping around his neck, and Lucas realized with a start that her fingers were ice cold.

He tried to break free, but her grip was like iron. He felt himself being drawn closer, closer to the abyss of madness. And then, just as suddenly as it had started, it was over. The young girl released him, and Lucas stumbled back, gasping for air.

But he knew that he was not alone in this place. Something else was lurking in the shadows, watching and waiting. And so, with a heavy heart, he took another step forward, ready to face the unknown.
