407 Sage [#3]

"I really need to think before adding Ether to my spells..." He looked at the flickering flame in his palm. It was the next day after he annihilated an entire battlefield with one spell. The media was going crazy, most importantly, the entire United States of America were going crazy because this crazy strong person appeared in their nation- It was a wild goose chase, and he was the goose. "I need to try and keep anonymity... Maybe separate my two personas? One is Sage and the other is Anonymous." That's what the internet was calling him: Anonymous.

He didn't know when it started, but now he had some kinda like a fan club? There were people very excited about him destroying an entire battlefield using one spell! He had read many comments where the author cursed him and even began theories of conspiracies about him and the First Guild of America. Like how he was their secret weapon or something, which was ridiculous seeing as when he finished the game, a leader board appeared before everyone:

[1st Place: ??? - Affiliation: None]

And people kept saying weird shit too, like how hot he looked doing that... Which was why after he read these comments, he trained his control over Mana. He started by weaving mana in new ways, that was when he remembered he could select his classes now! "Mage and Support sounds amazing." He could later get Warrior and Archer if he wanted.

Soon after he selected those classes, he got a new type of energy: Divine Power.

It glowed a soft golden light within his chest! 'Huh, interesting.' It was very soft, it barely resisted his attempt to change it and do what other Supports do with their skills and spells, manipulating the new Divine Power with great proficiency even though he only started it.

'Let me add a few points-' Immediately Sage added 2 points to his Divine Power, bringing it to 10. "Now, let's see what can I do with this new energy?" He pulled the golden lines of energy, his hand glowed softly of gold and white for a few moments. He widened his eyes as he felt a new sensation- Divine Power and Mana, they clashed into his hand when he tried to pull them together at the same time! 'Is this...?' He tried again, this time holding it hard... His eyes could see how the two energy interacted with one another, they clashed and resisted his attempts at tying them together, but the energy produced by them together was amazing! "Maybe..." He pushed them together harder and harder, until they became one energy! 'It's a little hard to keep together...' He pulled the energy back inside his body, the red energy simply fused with his body once more.

[Achievement - Double Uniqueness - Unlocked]

[Double Uniqueness: Have two unique stats]

[+20,000 Achievement Points]

"Huh... Force?" His new stat was interesting, the name was only 'Force', but he felt like it could be used for many things. He pulled the red energy from his body, it came so easily! He could bend and move the energy exactly how he wanted to! "Huh, amazing!" He used it like a new limb, pulling things out of their places and moving them around like he had a thousand hands. "It's good to practice." He used his new Force stat to move pens and write with them, three pens to be exact, and they all were a little wobbly.

"Practice makes perfect, I guess."

-Scene Cut-

With a bright light blue light, they found themselves in the towers. Ana was nervous! As a mage, the game of Defense in the Zombie Tower map was very reliant on the Mage and the Support.

[Protect the crystal and survive against the zombies.]

[The battle continues until 5 towers remain.]

'Please, let my teammates be good.' She looked at the other three silhouettes that were materializing before her eyes as her other three teammates were summoned- This game relied a lot on team synchronization, they had to work together to protect their crystal. If it was broken, then they would lose! 'Oh...' The first one that finished materializing was the Warrior, this tall dark haired guy wearing this silver-gold armor and holding an enormous shield in one hand and a sword on the other. His piercing golden eyes also seemed to analyze her entire being with just one look: "So you're the mage, huh?" He had a snicker on his lips, she couldn't help but sigh as she saw the emblem of the guy's shield...

The [Mad Hound] Guild.

They are a guild of ruffians, delinquents, and other non-governmental aided players. They aren't exactly an official guild but they have a community that helps them- The only problem is that they are considered a 'unlawful' guild and most of them don't like other guilds. They think those who get help from the government are 'little puppies' or 'slaves of the government'.

The guy reacted to her because of the guild symbol on her robe, this purple soft rose bud - She was part of the Thorny Roses, a female only guild that receives help from the government, they have access to dungeons and other resources that those of the Mad Hound guild have no access... That guild is a guild for the "rejects" of society, which is why many people look down on them.

"Why did it have to be a Mad Hound!?" She could feel her hopes leaving her body as the other member materialized- The archer. She soon looked at this lanky girl with a long silver hair and soft pale blue eyes that held this long grey-green bow in her left hand, she wore a pair of green shorts, fingerless black gloves on both hands, a pair of thick black boots, and this cape that covered her chest and back completely. The moment she materialized, she looked at them both- She saw the hound head on the Warrior's shield and her brows furrowed: "Mad Hound." The man looked at her and scoffed: "Silver Sun." She had this tiny silver sun on her cloack, making it clear to everyone that she was part of one of the guilds most by the Mad Hounds: The Silver Sun guild.

The Silver Sun guild was one of the first guilds to be created 10 years ago. They were the foundation of the now spread out guild society, and the Mad Hounds hate them because they were the ones that started the whole guild corruption debacle years ago.

Ana could practically see sparks fly between the two when they looked into each other's eyes!

"Uhm, hi?" A simple word echoed out, making all three look at their last team member- The Support. A small, short haired guy looked back at them. He had a pair of glasses that made him look a little bit nerdy, he had no markings or signs of being into any guild, in fact, he barely had anything! He did hold a small staff-like item on his left hand... Was that a baseball bat? "Nice to meet you...?" He awkwardly waved at his teammates, which all but scoffed at him.

"Ah fuck, a newbie." Cursed the Mad Hound guy.

"Did it have to be a noob?" The Silver Sun archer lady groaned.

"Man, my luck is so fucking shitty." Ana cursed too.

"Damn, I guess none of you need healing huh?" The Support - it's pretty obvious it was Sage, our main character - said. "Yeah, no, I'll just watch from here until you all beg for healing or something." Rolling his eyes, Sage sat down on the ground before the floating blue crystal, not even bothering to look back at his teammates who had practically given up getting in the top 5 at least. "Not gonna even lift a finger." Sage said to himself - If they didn't want his help, then they won't be getting it! Simple and easy.

The battle started soon, the Mage used her [Fire] skill to kill as many Zombies as she could. The Warrior kept the frontlines at bay while the Archer shot her arrows at the Zombies that somehow managed to pass through the front line defense. Sage simply watched as the first one to lose his first life was the Warrior, he reappeared 5 seconds later but the Mage and Archer had died because of his death, and Sage did nothing to stop it, in fact, he ignored as they begged him for healing- The moment the zombies got too close to him, a pulse of red energy flowed out and crushed their heads. He completely ignored and didn't help them when they were going die a second time, instead he focused on protecting the crystal by casting [Barrier] in front of him, creating this thin barrier with red energy.

He even started to pick his nose while his team lost their second life! Each time they died, Sage completely annihilated the zombies that had climbed the tower, gathering contribution points to himself.

"I'm sorry for looking down on you!" Looking at the Support, the big Warrior guy apologized: "Clearly you are better than you look, because if you weren't we would have lost already, so I apologize for looking down on you for the items you have... or don't have."

"...okay, I forgive you." Sage sighed: "I'll help you-" He casted [Strength] on the Warrior, a buff that increased strength proportionally to the amount of skill and power the Support used when casting the skill.

Immediately the warrior saw this a screen in front of his eyes:

[You received the buff (Strength), your strength increases by 2 points]

[The buff is being reinforced!]

[Your (Strength) buff has changed to (Giant's Strength), doubling your strength for the next 5 minutes]

"-There, you happy?"

The Warrior's eyes almost fell from his face. Never in his life he saw this kind of thing before! Who is this little guy!? "W-what... How?"

"Secret." The little guy grinned: "Go and kill zombies, I'll at least heal you now this time."

The Warrior had nothing to complain! He used his shield and sword o bash and cut through zombies with such an ease that he felt powerful! This red aura emanated from his body to show that he was being affected by the most incredible buff he has ever seen in his life. When he was in a though spot and with low health, a golden glow emanated from his wounds-

[Your body flows with divine power!]

[Your wonds have healed.]

[For the next 5 minutes, your attacks carry Divine Power]

-holy shit. 'How good is this support?' For this map, Divine Power against the zombies was like using fire to paper! They all fell easily to his blade that now had this soft glow of golden energy on it. His blade hacked through the enemies one after another, consequently he got a lot of contribution points as did the support, because without him, they would be nothing!

In the end, they survived till the end of the game.

"Second place huh? Well, considering he was the reason I got that strong..." Every five minutes the buff would be recast on him, he would be healed every time he received serious injuries, and there were times where a red barrier appeared between him and the zombies, a barrier that pushed the zombies away from him and the tower. He also easily noticed how sometimes the zombie's heads would explode.

Who is this support...?

"The Silver sun-"

"Fuck off."

Harrion watched as he rudely rejected the Silver Sun lady with a look of disgust on his face- Maybe he also hates those corrupt parasites known guilds? "Hey, Sage was it? The Mad Hound needs people like you."

"...Mad Hound..." He whispered: "Sounds interesting huh? Punks against the government, it sounds fun."
