47 Chapter 47: Summer Holidays

From the balcony of their lavish suite at Hotel Le Narcisse Blanc, Harry Potter gazed upon the breathtaking sight before him. Paris, the City of Lights, sprawled beneath the azure sky. The Eiffel Tower dominated the view, its majestic form reaching for the heavens. Harry marveled at its grandeur, a testament to human ambition.

As his eyes wandered, Paris unfolded in all its splendor. Elegant boulevards, charming cafés, and historic buildings painted a vibrant tapestry. Across the Seine River stood the regal Louvre Museum, beckoning with its treasures.

The air carried tantalizing aromas of pastries and blooming flowers. Harry imagined savoring the city's culinary delights, indulging in macarons and espresso.

But it was the atmosphere that truly enchanted him. Paris hummed with an energy that blended history, art, and romance. It was a place where dreams thrived and love stories unfolded.

Though he considered himself too young for love stories, Harry was eager to explore the wonders of the city with his own eyes. At first glance, Paris appeared as an amazing city teeming with life and culture. Many beautiful sights to visit and a rich History to explore.

During Harry's holidays, he, Rias, Akeno, Koneko, and Kiba decided to travel somewhere after completing their necessary lessons. The Gremory Family owned several hotels worldwide, including the one they were currently staying in Paris. Over the summer, Harry also completed his lessons with MacGregor for these Holidays, who provided useful pointers to enhance his understanding of magic. MacGregor was impressed with Harry's progress and the unique style of magic he was developing.

One particular ability fascinated Harry and his Teacher—the power to channel the energy of objects and living beings inside Innovate Clear. Initially, he could only tap into their energies with special properties like fire and poison, enhancing the power of his spells. However, during the battle with Quirrell, he discovered his ability extended beyond mere energy manipulation. He could channel the powers and abilities of beings such as trolls, including their strength, regeneration, and magic resistance. This ability also extended to the Mirror and the Invisibility Cloak.

Through experimentation, they discovered that the conversion rate of this power was not yet perfect. A significant amount of power was lost in the process. Currently, Harry could only channel 10% of a living being's power, but he could fully harness the power of an not living object. They were unsure why the amount was lower with living beings, maybe because they had a will of their own or some form of natural restitance, but they anticipated improvement as Harry grew more accustomed to his Sacred Gear. Awakening his Balance Breaker remained a goal for the future. And a clear sign that he reached high level of mastery with his Sacred Gear.

The possibilities this ability offered were formidable. With sufficient energy, Harry could create anything he could imagine inside Innovate Clear. The vast world of fictional works—mangas, movies, books, and more—provided him with a vast arsenal of new ideas to exploit his Sacred Gear.

The Gate of Truth one of his first ideas worked wonderful, continuing to provide valuable knowledge, expanding Harry's understanding of basic magic. Although not groundbreaking, it significantly deepened his foundation in magic, despite only working on it for less than a month. The Human Population also began fulfilling their basic needs themselves by raising animals such as chickens, cows, sheep, and pigs, while the first quick-growing plants yielded their initial harvests.

Another intriguing topic was Harry's Invisibility Cloak, inherited from his father. When he showed it to his teacher, he sensed its connection to a Death God's divinity. However, his teacher couldn't reveal the creator's identity. It was likely someone from a forgotten pantheon in England, many of whom perished during or as a result of the Great War.

In the meantime, Rias and her peerage decided to spend the remaining summer in France until Harry's Hogwarts letter arrived, signaling his return to London and his meeting with friends.

Each member of the peerage had their own desired destinations in Paris the French Capital, leading to several days of exploration and sightseeing. They visited renowned places such as the Louvre and the top of the Eiffel Tower, indulged in shopping at the city's famous fashion boutiques. Akeno and Rias took it upon themselves to outfit the other three members with new outfits.

Although it was a taxing experience for Harry, he didn't complain. The two of them were having especially a lot of fun, and Rias, with her boundless resources, covered the expenses. Harry was in a comfortable financial situation himself, thanks to his allowance from the Gremorys and his inheritance from the Most Noble and Most Ancient House of Potter, but some of the prices on the clothes still made him visibly gulp. Shopping in Paris was expensive.

"Harry, are you ready?" Rias asked, impatiently knocking on the door of his room in the shared suite of the Peerage. Startled, Harry snapped out of his thoughts and headed to the door.

"Yes, I'm coming," he replied, leaving his room entering the shared hallway. Rias, with her beautiful and excited face, awaited him. Her Crimson Hair moving up and down as she was bobbing in excitement. She wasn't the only one waiting; the others had already gathered and were only waiting for him.

"Finally," muttered Koneko, snacking with gusto on some sweets as the white haired girl eyed him.

"Well, then, let's go," Harry said awkwardly, aware that everyone had been only waiting for him as he was lost in thoughts in his own Room. Kiba the blond haired boy could only chuckle at that sight.

"Lead the way, Harry-kun. We have no idea where we should go," Akeno chimed in with her typical smile and calm beauty, following him out of the door, her styled black hair shaking in the wind.

"Neither do I. I just read about it. So let's head to the address; we shouldn't miss it once we're there," explained Harry, as it was also his first time in that area. He only learned about it in his Library.

Their destination? The magical district of France. They had decided to visit the French counterpart of Diagon Alley, located in Paris. Excitement filled the air as they anticipated the unique experience awaiting them in the French wizarding world. All of them wanted to learn the Difference between the two, as Diagon Alley was something they enjoyed very much.

Leaving the hotel, they entered the awaiting black limousine and told the driver, a low-class Devil their Destination. Rias made sure that they had always transport ready if they should need it, like this limosine. After a 20-minute drive through the beautiful but bustling city, they arrived at their destination. Standing on Rue Richer, they looked around in wonder as Akeno asked, "Where should we go now, Harry-kun?"

"To the best of my knowledge, this should be the entrance," Harry explained, pointing at a bronze statue depicting a woman sitting on a pedestal. They all gazed at the unassuming statue, noticing its abudant and rich magical aura that could only be sensed by beings like themselves.

With curious looks on their faces, they decided to approach the statue, eager to uncover its secrets. As it was clearly enchanted.
