1 Prologue
"Hey, kid! Are you gonna join the party too?" A bald old man asked with a smile on his face.
"Of course, old man." A young black-haired youth immediately replied with an excited smile. "After all, today is the day when I'll finally stop being weak." A strange glint flashed through his eyes however the old man didn't notice it.
The old man shook his head with a gentle gaze. "You know, it's not that bad being a weak person especially when you are serving someone very strong."
His words caused the young man to shake his head in disappointment. Seeing that, the old man wanted to say something more, however, he held back.
The duo continued to chat with each other about miscellaneous stuff. On their way, they met countless other people who were also heading toward the palace which was flying some distance away from their location.
The young man is Alex and he was someone who was originally not from this world.
He was an ordinary guy studying in college in his previous life however for some reason, he came to this world 3 years ago. The original body was living in a small village in East Blue.
The place where he was living was attacked by a pirate group however he was saved by an old man who also brought him to this flying Island.
As a guy who had read One Piece manga, he immediately knew about the person who ruled this island and about the dangers that could be found throughout this world.
The flying islands belonged to Shiki The Golden Lion. A very powerful guy who is comparable to Pirate King Roger and the Strongest man Whitebeard in strength and was deemed more dangerous than them by the World Government since he wanted to dominate the entire world.
Though it was all in the past as now, he was not that strong anymore. He didn't even have legs anymore and his powers were gradually fading away due to his old age and his injuries.
Alex originally planned to live under him for some time before going back to East Blue to live a trouble-free life. After all, he wasn't someone with strong fruit or even had any kind of help like that other transmigratory got at the beginning of their journey.
Though his plans changed 2 years ago when he awakened his golden finger after successfully killing a small pirate with measly strength.
It was an examination given to recruits who wanted to join the Shiki pirates. Not that, he could deny it otherwise he would have been killed by the person who was supervising the examination.
The system was called The Dead Man Plunder System. It allowed him to get the abilities and powers of the person he kills without any side effects.
Since he got the system, he decided to catch a big fish and that was the reason why he didn't leave this island and continued to work as a small pirate.
During these two years, he killed a lot of people to increase his powers. One of the people that he had killed knew a little about poisons which he used to poison everyone's drink.
He used a very small amount of poison every day so no one found anything wrong with it. These people were very carefree as they never thought that someone among them would do something like this.
After all, in this entire sea, who does not fear the Golden Lion who once made the World Government troubled?
He also learnt another important thing about the system. He can't keep killing the same level of people and expect their abilities to merge, in turn, increasing his powers.
So to grow stronger, he would need to find stronger opponents and kill them to increase the level of his current abilities.
Even though he was a little sad about this, it didn't affect him much. After all, he had a lot of targets who could give him a lot of power.
Shaking his head, he got rid of those thoughts as the entrance to the castle was quite near. Increasing his speed, he along with the old man entered the castle.
The inside of the castle was fully decorated, decorated with the heads of pirates and beasts. Though no one found it disgusting as this was proof of their captain's strength and prestige.
According to his estimation, today was the day when the poison would finally show its colour. Thinking about it, he felt very excited.
After everyone was inside the palace, Shiki came on stage and gave a speech. He looked very happy today, possibly because the 2nd phase of his experiments has begun to show positive results.
Everyone laughed loudly while drinking a lot of booze along with grilled meat. He took some meat and went towards a corner to sit all alone. Since he was just a no-one, no one cared about his lack of presence.
After 2 hours of constant yelling, the people finally began to quiet down. The reason was as they were all falling to the ground without even knowing the reason behind it.
In less than 2 minutes, everyone was dead except for Shiki who was on his knees with a bewildering expression. Blood could be seen flowing out from his mouth, nose and ears.
"Y-You…! You are the reason behind this, aren't you?" Shiki asked with a furious expression. He started to breathe heavily, sweat could be seen on his forehead.
Alex chuckled in amusement, slowly walking toward the fallen Golden Lion. "If your lover Roger saw you like this, would he be mad at me?"
Hearing those ridiculous words toward himself, Shiki gritted his teeth in anger. With bloodshot eyes, he tried to stand up, however, the result was miserable as he fell to the ground without having any control over his body.
Alex took a small knife from one of the pirates who were dead and pierced the neck of the Golden Lion without showing any mercy. "You should be grateful to me, Shiki. Even though your era has ended, I'm gonna keep your abilities alive within myself."
Not giving him any chance to speak, he swiftly beheaded the Golden Lion and then closed his eyes to look at the pile of notifications. Though he removed all of them leaving only a single notification on the system screen.

Alex mentally agreed to the command and felt his entire body getting stronger rapidly. A small smile appeared on his face as he felt the surging power that never belonged to him.
[Does the host wish to get the power of Shiki fruit? The system has already removed the weakness of devil fruit.]
If he was somewhere safe, Alex would have never agreed to it. Sadly, he was on an island which was now starting to fall to the ground. He needed the power of Shiki devil fruit to keep himself floating along with the island.
A lot of memories kept coming to his mind related to different things. It involved the three types of Haki, Shiki Swordsmanship and control over the fruit.
Touching the island surface, he immediately used the devil fruit power causing the falling island to once again fly high.
When he was sure that the island was back to its previous position, he began to walk inside the palace where the room of Shiki existed.
"I still need to check the treasury of the famous Golden Lion…." Rubbing his palms together, he excitedly walked inside the room.
The moment his eyes landed in the corner of the room, his eyes widened in happiness and surprise. At the corner, there was a small mountain of gold along with many other expensive pieces of jewellery. There were some small chests with it as well which were the reason behind his happiness.
He quickly put the gold inside the system storage and then he began to look through the chests. In some chests, he found a lot of bellies which he could use to buy stuff without selling his gold.
In the last two chests, he found two manuals on which the way of learning haki and Rokushiki were written. With this in his hands, he could help his crew members to grow stronger quickly.
"As expected of a guy who dared to attack the Marineford all alone." Chuckling at his luck to get these two precious things, he put them inside the system storage and began to look at the 2 devil fruits curiously.
He was sure that Shiki would never take waste devil fruits with him. Alex quickly searched the entire room and found the devil fruit catalogue under the drawer of the bed.
He kept flipping the page constantly and in the end, he was able to find out about the two unknown devil fruits. "Damn….! He fucking hid such powerful fruits from everyone's eyes….."
Taking a deep breath, he calmed down his breathing and put those devil fruits inside the system storage.
His work was done here and now, he planned to leave this island. Touching his shoes, he flew in the air and came out of the castle heading to the other side of the island.
When he was some distance away from the island, he removed the devil fruit powers which were causing the island to fly. Slowly, the island began to fall while cracks began to form in the middle of it.
"Rest in peace, everyone." Putting his hand on his chest, he bowed a little and began to fly down. This prayer was not for the people who died in his hands, this prayer was for the people who were gonna die cause of the island which kept falling.
"Status!" Alex mumbled, wanting to see the changes which happened on his status page.
