25 Chapter 23. Vivi, A Good Wife

After spending almost half an hour discussing certain things with the King, Alex left the King in the garden and headed toward the other side of it with the royal guards.

"Aren't you going to introduce me to these two?" Alex suddenly spoke in an amused tone.

"Hahaha…." Igaram chuckled in awkwardness, however, he still nodded. "That guy's name is Pell, a Zoan devil fruit user and the strongest in the Kingdom." He pointed toward one of those two guys who was wearing a white robe. "The other person's name is Chaka, a royal guard and someone who takes the command of royal guards in my presence. He has eaten a Zoan devil fruit as well."

"It's nice to meet you, saviour." Pell bowed slightly with an appreciative smile. "I sincerely thank you for helping the princess."

"As I said, she is my crew member. So how could I not help her?" Alex shook his head and stopped talking about this.

"You want me to train them, right?" From the corner of his eyes, he gazed at Igaram who nervously chuckled but still nodded his head. "I don't have any problem with it, however, you can't join the training because you'll stay in the Kingdom to train the other soldiers, understand?"

"This….." Igaram hesitated at his words, training himself was something that he didn't want to stop. "I understand, Alex." After thinking about it for some seconds, he finally agreed with his idea.

Nodding his head slightly, he turned to look at the two royal guards. "Hey, you both fight among yourself right now. I want to see your capability." With a calm tone, he ordered both of them.

The duo turned to look at Igaram who simply nodded. When they got permission, they went some distance away and changed into their respective forms.

Pell, who was now a hybrid falcon took out his sword to attack while Chaka turned into a hybrid Jackal while placing his sword in his mouth.

Pell quickly flew down and attacked Chaka with his sword. Chaka also attacked while running toward him. The moment their sword clashed, the ground shook under their feet.

"Stop. No need to fight anymore." Alex stopped them from continuing to fight anymore. "I have seen your capability." He was expecting them to be somewhat good, alas they were quite similar to their anime counterparts. "You won't be able to defeat even a single beast on the island that Igaram was training himself in."

The two looked at him with a shocked expression much to Igaram's amusement. Though they instantly calmed themselves as this meant that they can go beyond their current limit of theirs.

"When are we going to the island, you mentioned?" Chaka put his sword in his sheath and asked with a serious yet excited tone.

"Tomorrow." Alex calmly replied to which they both nodded, very excited about visiting such an island. "By the way, head to the Rainbase city. There is a lot of Dance powder there, hidden under Rain Dinners. Take it out and show it to the civilians so the doubts about King's conspiracy can be cleared."

The duo nodded and instantly walked outside of the garden, heading straight to the Rainbase city, not before taking some other royal guards with them.

"You have something more to ask?" Alex planned to go back to the room however after seeing the expression of Igaram, he postponed that idea.

"We will be having a banquet tonight," Igaram informed him about the celebration and then bid him farewell as he needed to head to the kitchen to meet his wife.

He stood there for some time before he began to walk toward the room, not before glancing at the side where the King was.

Inside the room, except for Robin, everyone else was sleeping with smiles on their faces. They celebrated a lot by eating and drinking more than their capability.

Only Robin held herself back from drinking so right now, she was sitting on a chair with a book in her hands.

When the door was opened, she turned to look at the person. "You are back….." Saying that she once began to read her book.

"These guys....." Alex was speechless, seeing the girls, sleeping on the ground. "You could have stopped them, you know?" He chuckled and walked toward Robin.

"And why would I stop their celebration?" Robin asked with a hint of amusement in her tone. "They were very delighted and it reached a new level when Vivi had eaten the devil fruit." Well, this was the reason why this celebration escalated to this level.

"I shouldn't have given her the devil fruit at that time…." He mumbled in disappointment. "What are you reading anyway?" He curiously asked, seeing the book in her hands.

"Oh, this? It's a simple book related to plants." Robin replied with a small smile, continuing to read her book. It is her favourite thing to do in her free time.

He kept looking at the book for some time and then he spoke. "Don't you want to see the Poneglyph? I came here to take you with me." Those words were enough for Robin who quickly closed her book and turned to look at him.

"Let's go, I have been waiting to read it for nearly 4 years." She excitedly said and stood up from her seat. 

"Come with me." He said calmly and began to walk toward the door, Robin followed him closely and closed the door after both of them were outside of the room.

He then began to walk toward the garden where the King was present along with Robin who was following him with an eager expression.

"By the way, where is this island that all of you keep mentioning? The place where you train the girls." Robin suddenly asked with a curious tone, looking at him from the corner of her eyes.

"It's in the sky." Hearing those words, Robin calmly nodded, a little surprised however since she knew his powers, she knew that it was very much possible for him to do something like this.

"Are you gonna train me too? I heard the girls complaining about it yet praising the results at the same time." She knew the girls were very strong even the weakest in the crew was stronger than her by a large margin. So, the prospect of getting stronger was very exciting for her.

"Mmm, I plan to train you. You are very weak right now and wouldn't be able to help me with the stuff that I am soon gonna do." Alex replied with a small smile, already thinking about the ways to train her properly.

They continued to talk about some miscellaneous things related to training and finally reached the place where the King was.

"You both are here." The King nodded at them and motioned them to follow him. Even though he was a little hesitant about letting someone like Nico Robin do something that his ancestors protected for a long time, he also had a favour to return so he couldn't stop her from seeing that Poneglyph.

From the garden, they headed to the west side of the palace and walked for some time. After some time, they reached the place where the tombs of previous Kings were buried.

King Cobra kept walking inside and after some time, he finally stopped in front of a small statue. He pressed a button that was underneath the chin of that statue causing a staircase to appear some distance away from them.

"Let's go. That thing is inside there." Saying that the King began to head inside the secret chamber, followed by Alex and Robin closely.

Inside the secret chamber, a large stele was present on which some mysterious texts were written.

Seeing it, a smile appeared on Robin's face as she walked near it. Alex and King Cobra stood behind her, looking at the Poneglyph with an amazed expression.

Without wasting any time, Robin began to decipher the mysterious text that was written on the giant stone. After some time, she finally deciphered all of it and then turned to look at Alex.

"What's written on it?" King Cobra asked with a curious look. This stone was here for a long time however he never knew what it was for.

Robin hesitated for some seconds and decided to answer it finally. "The thing that is written on this is about The Ancient Weapon, Pluton." Her words were enough to make King Cobra stunned.

"P-Pluton?" He knew the significance of that word and the danger contained in it. "D-Does this contains the l-location of that ancient weapon as well?" King Cobra asked with cold sweat on his forehead. If the news related to this went out, he could only imagine the crises that would fall on the entire Kingdom.

Taking a deep breath, she nodded while looking at Alex with a cautious gaze. It might be because she spent some time with those girls, she decided to trust their words and tell the truth about the Poneglyph. It was a very stupid thing to do according to her rational mind yet she decided to trust him cause of the words that were in her mind since she first escaped her island.

"I'm very pleased that you didn't lie to me, Robin." Alex smiled at her and then turned to look at the King beside him. "This is the reason why I gave you that proposal. I'm sure that you know the consequences of hiding something like this even though you are allied with the World Government." With a serious expression, he spoke those words.

"I'll have to think about it….." After thinking about it for some time, the King finally replied. "And you would need to increase your status among the people in the sea.

Alex nodded at his words, knowing what the King wanted to say. The King simply wanted Alex to increase his status before accepting that proposal so his Kingdom wouldn't be insulted by the other Kingdoms.

"Let's go back now, we don't have anything more to do here." Saying that Alex began to walk toward the stairs, followed by the King and then Robin who was quite confused right now.

"Don't you want to obtain the Ancient weapon? It contains enough power to destroy an island." The King asked with a curious tone, not understanding why a pirate with such big dreams isn't greedy for the Ancient weapon.

"Nah, I'm not interested in those weapons. There is only one reason why I even came here….." Saying that he turned to look at Robin. "I just wanted to see whether she would lie or say the truth about the stuff that is written on the Poneglyph."

"You would have killed me if I had lied to you?" Robin asked with an amused smile however anyone could see the cold sweat on her forehead.

"Who knows? As I said, I just wanted to test you." Alex shrugged off her words, not denying her words causing her body to shiver in fright. 

"How would you know that I lied to you? Unless you already knew about the text that was written here." Even though it was quite scary that she just escaped death because of some words, she still smiled and asked with a hint of curiosity in her tone.

"I already know the location of all of the Ancient weapons. So, you won't be able to lie to me." He casually said with an amused chuckle however the people around him widened their eyes in shock.

The whole world is trying to find the location of a single Ancient weapon yet the guy in front of them knows the location of all of the Ancient weapons. If the words got out, they were sure that everyone would become an enemy of Alex.

After coming out of the secret chamber, the trio headed back to the main palace which was now decorated very beautifully. From there, the King went to his bedroom to have some time alone while the duo stood outside. 

"Robin, tell the other girls that I would come back after some time. I need to visit a certain place before getting my Warlord title." Alex told her with a serious extension and then began to float in the sky.

"Come back before the banquet ends." Robin smiled slightly and reminded him. "Otherwise, you will miss the good food and some good sake." Saying that she giggled and then walked inside the palace, heading toward the room. 

"Save some for me if I get late for the banquet…" He yelled with an amused chuckle and then began to fly higher in the sky, heading toward a certain place.

Just like he had said to Robin, he was indeed late for the banquet. The things that he went out to do took more time than he had expected initially.

Everything was finished in the banquet, no sake, no food, nothing was left for him. Even if he wanted someone to cook for him, there was no person present here who was not unconscious.

In the end, he could only grumble about it silently. He then headed to the room where his crew was living and just like he had expected, they were all unconscious as well, including Robin who kept muttering his name with an apologetic tone.

"I feel like using Conqueror Haki to wake all of these ungrateful people….." He felt like that however in the end, he didn't do anything. Though he noticed a strange thing, among the crew members who were sleeping here Vivi wasn't present.

There was no possibility that Vivi got drunk and slept in the banquet hall. It wasn't her character so he curiously scanned the entire palace and found her in a room that was quite close to the main hall where the throne was present.

With a curious expression, he walked toward the room while making sure that he wouldn't walk over some unconscious guy's body. It will be very painful especially if he stepped on the private part of some guy.

Inside the room, Vivi was forcefully keeping herself awake while sitting on a chair. In front of her was a medium size table with a lot of food and sake.

"At least someone waited for me…." Seeing the scene inside the room, Alex felt very happy. He walked forward and took the empty chair before drinking sake directly from a bottle.

"You sure are late, Alex….." Vivi mumbled with a chuckle, serving him food on the plate. "You know it was very troublesome to save this amount of food and drink for you, the people outside wanted to celebrate for some more time."

"So how did you save it then?" Alex curiously asked while eating food impatiently. 

"I knocked out all of them and took the food and drinks with me then brought them here." She replied in an amused tone, making him laugh out loud. "Hey, don't laugh while eating, at least swallow the food first." She said with a worried look, seeing him coughing twice.

"I'm all good. Don't worry." He shrugged off her worries and continued to eat the food while she kept staring at him. He even asked if she wanted to have some food however she quickly denied it.

After some time, the dinner was over and now both of them were drinking sake together while talking about different stuff and just like that, half an hour passed.

"There is no sake left now..." Alex murmured in disappointment, looking at the empty bottles on the table. His words and his expression caused her to giggle in amusement.

"Anyway…." He stood up from his seat and walked toward her causing her to gaze at him with a doubtful gaze. "I loved how you behaved like a good wife today so I have decided to reward you as your good husband." Saying that he wrapped his arms around her body and lifted her before bringing her to the bed.

He first sat on the bed and then made her sit on his lap, her face looking down in embarrassment as she felt his heated gaze all over her body.

Putting his fingers under her chin, he lifted her face and made her gaze into his eyes. "You look very beautiful today, Vivi….." Saying that he leaned forward and captured her lips, making her body tremble.

It was a very weird experience for her however she slowly began to move her lips in the same rhythm as his.

The next morning, the entire world went into an uproar because of the latest headlines in the newspaper.
