1 Let's be Chunin

I Jump down the tree and look at them. Naruto and Konohamaru's friend checking on Konohamaru. Sakura is admiring me on the side.

"Aniki you suck" Konohamaru pouting then said it to Naruto.

"Don't be like that Konohamaru, I could handle them if Sasuke didn't butted in." Naruto reasoning.

"Yeah, Naruto right. If he seriously use everything he had in himself. Even the third guy that pop up will wiped on the floor by him." I said. Sakura have 'are you serious' on her face. The kid just get more awe by my word looking at Naruto. Naruto just smile at what I said. Holding his stomach and looking at where Gaara walk away.

"So as you guy heard. Kakashi might be on meeting right now, deciding if we will be able to join Chunin exam." I said looking at the Hokage tower.

*Kakashi Pov

"Yo Iruka. This is team seven mission for today." I said to Iruka.

"How is Naruto doing? Lately I been busy, being back here and waiting for the next term to start my homeroom again." Iruka ask.

"Hmm, Naruto is good. He is keeping busy with his training and his thing. Trying to prove himself to you that he is better now." I said.

"Is that so? hehehe." Iruka said remembering how Naruto was.

"Okay then, I need to get to hokage meeting room. You too right. See you there then." I said goodbye and walk out the door. 'hmm, the meeting should start in like half an hour. I still have time.'

I walk away from Hokage tower. I reach flower shop. I buy a flower. Then I get to memorial stone put the flower there. I stared blankly at the name written there. Mourning like I always have been.

After an hour or so I came back from mourning state. 'I will be late again.' I think. So I shunsin away and reach hokage tower in a few second. I walk to the Hokage meeting room.

"You guys here already. I thought I finally on time, this time." I said. Looking around I can see Asuma, Kurenai, Gai, Iruka, Ibiki, Anko, Genma, Hayate and the other jounin, tokujou and chunin here.

"You said you going here first an hour ago Kakashi" Iruka said. "Oh I just got lost in the road of life." I said my excuse.

"Okay that's enough." Hokage walk in from the side door. "As you might have notice. Foreign ninja has been spotted more in the village. This time we are the host for chunin exam." The hokage said.

"You who don't have students will help the running of the chunin exam. Here the overview. As for the detail, you can do how you see fit." Hokage said and a chunin came with stack of paper.

"Now let's first see the latest graduates of the academy. Kakashi, Kurenai and Asuma, are any of your students you think is good for joining this exam." Hokage ask. 'Hmm, They are already good enough to not embarrassed me' I thought. "You first, Kakashi."

"Team seven led by Hatake Kakashi, consist of Uchiha Sasuke, Uzumaki Naruto and Haruno Sakura. I give my word that all three of them are ready for chunin exam." I said. The other two followed suit.

"That's unusual, you three easily let them join." Hokage said. "Wait a moment, Hokage-sama may I speak?" Iruka said. "Yes, you may speak Iruka."

"Sorry for overstepping. Those name just now, they are my previous student. They might be gifted, but this chunin exam is full of danger. They are still need more experience." Iruka said. 'ugh, this guy he really need to be this meddlesome.' I turn my head and look at Iruka.

"Iruka I know how you feel, but my student is different from how they are before. I don't know about these two on my left. But they are ready Iruka." I said. The two on my left twitch a bit at my comment.

"And for the record they are not a student anymore but a soldier under my command." I said with a bit grim on my voice.

Iruka visibly sweating now. "That enough, both of you. The nine of them will join the chunin exam as their teacher say." Hokage have made his order. "And for the rest of you with student, let's start with you Gai."

"Hai Hokage-sama,....." I move to the corner of the room and take out icha-icha to read.

*Next day

*09.07 am Konoha Third training ground.

Like normal we wait for Kakashi to come late. Sakura and Naruto complaining like usual about Kakashi lateness. 'Hmm a peaceful and steady life.' I feel Kakashi chakra. I put back my sketchbook.

"Yo, sorry for being late. I got lost in the road of life." Kakashi say with his usual eye smile. ""You Liars"" Both of my teammate yell.

"Okay joke aside. Here, I give my recommendation for the three of you. This is chunin form. You fill that in and bring them to academy room 301 in five day at 2pm, if you want to join." Kakashi said. Naruto jump and hug Kakashi thanking him. I get one of the form.

"Okay for the next week as there will be chunin exam. So we will not do any training and mission. You guys do your thing." Kakashi said and take out icha-icha then shunsin away.

"Yosha. Chunin exam, I can show my awesomeness to everyone." Naruto excitingly yell. "What if there are written test and you fail it Naruto?" I ask him. "Hump, just you see teme. I have been studying, for being a better ninja in the library." Naruto said.

"What about you Sakura? Are you joining?" I ask Sakura. "How can't I not join. I been training so much these last three months. I will show Ino that I was better than her. And a chance to use my new healing jutsu" Sakura said with determination and slightly red face.

"Alright then. Lets three of us do our best and become a chunin after this end." I said and pump my hand up.

""Let's be chunin"" Both of them said and pump their hand up too.
