Perspective change

It was a quite day today everything seemed to be going our way the latest raid on the Anglos had been luckily very easy and rewarding, though I must say I did feel a bit uneasy even when celebrating with my team, I just had a hunch that something horrible was gone happen today ya know

And I guess I was right, it was a monster a monster no one had seen before it looked like the legendary dragons but lacked the wings that they were so well known for but it was just as deadly

We were able to sense it before it got too close to our village but it also sensed us, we thought it would be a difficult but winnable battle but to make sure we decided to sent a man in with the berserker bag to check the waters before we went in for the real fight

Needless to say it was even more dangerous then we thought, as it effortlessly without even moving killed the man and it also felt like it was enjoying killing him, after figuring out what we were exactly going up against it shouldn't be a surprise that we through basically everything we had at it

The sound to axes, swords, bows, spears, and magic spell being used could be heard from miles away but, the monster didn't just sit there and take all of it, it was extremely quick often dodging most of the attack and counter attack with its own magic

If there was something I was very envious of this monster for having was that fact it didn't need to chant in order to use magic, an ability many magus and everyone in general envied it was an ability that almost all monster could use since their birth but took humans even with talent years to learn

Well whatever it's not a good idea to think of other things in the middle of battle, another thing I saw as the battle went on was the fact that the monster primarily used magic not only that but it killed people from the inside

Which was an extremely difficult thing to do especially if you were using magic without chants, from what I heard to use magic without chants you need to visualize it in your mind as well as simulating it in the location you want it to be though even this description is simplified

And there is a trick that some magicians use to put spells inside of people but it's pretty difficult to pull off and can give your enemy a free hit on you if your not good enough so almost no one even tries it, well no use thinking about such useless things in the middle of a fight

As all this was happening I was in the back lines attacking with magic and supporting the front but after observing the enemy for long enough I decided to get into the front lines and attack the thing head on as it seemed to be naturally resistance to magic

My team said that they had noticed me doing this a lot, staying in the back and supporting then before randomly going to fight in the front lines to fight, I'm a pretty cautious man I like knowing more about my enemy's before I fought and besides I got results so it didn't matter if I did this

Of course right now I'm not acting cautious right now, I mean I'm going to fight a creature that I know maybe 10 or so things about but I do now know how to doge his magic and besides I can't just sit back and watch my team die I maybe a good mage but I'm an even better swordsman

With that the battle continued we getting more used to fighting it and had lowered the amount of men getting killed drastically and had actually managed to get a few good hits on it but it's natural body is strong enough to get away with only a few scratch's this constant struggle goes on for a while

Until I manage to get a really good hit on it chopping off one of its limbs, at that moment I could feel the immense amount of joy, mainly because of how long the battle had been going on and how we had barley damaged the beast

Of course I was happy as well but unlike them quickly my happiness turned to dread as I saw first hand what the monster had done it had distracted us for only a new mili seconds but a new mili seconds was all it needed

I could feel the beast just behind me waiting for me to turn my head and see the decapitated heads of all my team, in those couple of seconds It felt as if it was mocking me, toying with me, I felt like there was no way to get out of this situation

So I gave up and turned my head and before I knew it my head was chopped off and as I saw the monster that had killed me I saw a hint devilish grin on its face mocking me before everything went dark

Honestly hat was a bit annoying not because they were particularly strong but because they covered each other's weaknesses and made it pretty hard to even attack them at lest at the end, in the beginning they were like a bunch of chickens with there heads chopped off but after a while they were able to fortify there position and make it extremely difficult for me to kill them

But all I needed to kill them was a distraction and see that their spirits had been getting lower and lower as we fought and I knew giving them even a slight amount of hope would make a good distraction

So I took advantage of that weakness like any sane man hell I even got to have a bit of fun with the last guy, who I decided to chose as the man who would disarm me literally

Anyways after that i killed everyone else in the village and then proceeded to equip all the well deserved gear I had gotten, now you might be wondering how does basically a dragon ware human clothing well because the system says I can

I can even make it invisible and basically intangible while it still gives me he buff so If I have to equip armor that's super uncomfortable I can still fully use it, now 1/3 of my armor portion of the gear is done

Which is pretty good progress as it looks like everything is going my way, but knowing my luck the demon kings gone come early and ruin all my plans so I would definitely not get too comfortable as I might almost die again

Now I just need to go to the new world get the giants ring then go fight Sânge all the way in Transylvania which might cause a bit of a problem if the other vampires get involved in our fight and finally go get all the smaller stuff for the build scattered all over the world

Jesus this is gone be tiring but at lest I don't have to worry about storage anymore I thought as I began to run into the direction of the new world also known as the Americans
