23 Vow of Mana
Its been a day since we reach A rank, when we got out from the mana room, my mother and father along with Laila's parents greeted us with a worried expression.
Talking to them, we were informed that 5 days has passed since we entered the room.
In the process of ascending, the seal from that paper also broke for some reason, giving us more feature in the system and a strange egg, the egg seems to be a manifestation of pure mana that is naturally form in specific condition.
After further examination, the egg suddenly disappeared turning into particle of light before entering Laila's body.
We were confuse at first, but after further examination, we found out that the way to hatch it is to keep inserting mana into it. Because of this we kept giving mana to hatch it, while Laila channel her mana into the egg in her body I channeled my mana into her body.
From other perspective, it will look like I'm hugging Laila's body while glowing. Usually when injecting mana to other, one need trust in each other to not mess up each other mana flow, other then that they need to be skilled when they try to mix their mana, it will cause immense pain when making a mistake. But we are able to mix our mana naturally like it's meant to be mixed, doing so meant that they did a mana vow to each other and became one, not that they realize this.
Right now, they are in their room and just woken up.
As I open my eyes, I saw Laila in my embrace.
Seeing her sleeping face and feeling this comfortable warmth made me want to stay like this for a bit longer.
As I tried to move, Laila suddenly caught me and forcibly pulled me back.
Sighing inwardly, I turned my gaze to her small figure hugging my body from behind. It was then I felt some thing weird. I could feel that Laila is absorbing my mana for some reason, it is very subtle that I almost didn't notice it. The reason for this is because Laila is also injecting her mana into me making the decrease in mana nullified.
I would've normally notice when a foreign mana invade my body, however my body didn't react at all, like it was naturally supposed to be this way.
"Ray..." (Laila)
She mumbled while merging her mana with mine unconsciously.
Laila subtle voice ring like a melody in my ear, the comfort of her mana is forcing me back to sleep. Failing to resist the temptation, I slept while embracing her soft and warm body reverting back to the position back when I first woke up.
That day we slept of a full day.

In the kitchen, Mina is making some tea early in the morning. She know that the Prince and Young Miss would usually woke up at this hour. Thinking about them, her mind started to wonder
"Isn't this too early for 8 years old kids to wake up?" (Mina)
Her question is actually very reasonable if its normal kids. I mean, is there even an eight years old kid that wake up at 4:30 AM? Even if I search the entire human continent, it will definitely be less then 1%.
"Well they aren't normal in the first place" (Mina)
Deciding to stop thinking about it, she walked to their room bringing some teas and some steamed bread for breakfast.
After knocking the door, she entered the room just to find an absurd scene...

She saw both of them embracing each other while still sleeping, but what truly baffle her is that their mana merged.
She isn't an SS ranked for nothing, she could clearly see that me and Laila's mana has completely merged.
Being a highly educated person, she naturally know what it meant.
When two person with the same gender merged their mana, they will be unable to betray each other similar to a mana contract but it's not permanent and can remove with each other consent, in the case of different gender its the same but more extreme, It meant that they made a vow to be each other partner for a life time.
This is a symbol of absolute trust in each other connecting both soul and body, doing such vow need high understanding and perfect coordination between the pair.
Commonly this type of bond can be form naturally with the help of physical contact, but to make it become a vow they need to reach a certain degree of exposure to each other mana and merge their mana, in the case of the same gender, they only need to insert their mana using hand contact.
Even so, they won't be able to perfectly match their mana like this.
"D-Did they actually do 'that'? No no no, they are still physically incapable...." (Mina)
'So how?' (Mina)
Her mind ran at full throttle to understand what they did. From her knowledge, there are no human capable of forming such perfect bond.
Carefully examining their body, she didn't find anything strange accept their abnormal mana purity.
"Ah right! The mark" (Mina)
Remembering the stories, Mina search their body to find the mark but ended up wasting her time as she could find it.
"Should I ask them?" (Mina)
"No, I should let them rest" (Mina)
Shaking her head, she decided to let them rest and wait for them to wake up.
She then left the room and reported what she saw to The Queen.
Not long after she left, a glowing mark started to appear on both of their forehead causing a very small mana fluctuation.
