Yasu was currently relaxing after a long morning session of Reiryoku Cultivation. He had increased his Spiritual Power to rank B after 5 months of training.

He could now fight on par against Natsu with his Magical Power alone. His mastery over his Ice King magic had increased exceptionally. He decided to put effort into it as he had felt that It possessed a lot of potentials. So, Yasu had developed some Ice-based spells. Though he could create anything in Ice with a thought. Like Gray's magic, if the user uses both of their hands in moulding an element, they can make an accurate form of their element. Casting one-handed is easier, but it is a less stable form of moulding and may result in less powerful creations. So in short, Yasu could get stronger power output by using his hands.

Disturbing his relaxing session, a loud BAM sound could be heard 500 hundreds of meters from him. Thanks to the Body Cultivation Technique, his five senses had become more acute so he could easily hear a sound like that in the middle of the forest.

Feeling curious, he started moving toward the origin of the sound at a speed that even Natsu would have a hard time following, courtesy of his physical strength. Arriving seconds later, Yasu fell into a daze as he saw a spiky black-haired man with dark blue eyes and a toned body. His attire simply consisted of a grey pair of trousers.

Yasu recognized the boy as Gray, who was unconscious and severely injured beside a dead Gorian. He could guess that the man had used his last bit of strength to kill the monster before falling to the ground. Even though Yasu had forgotten many things about the Fairy Tail world as he had read it when he was around 8 years, he still retained memories about Gray.

("I didn't expect to meet him so soon...")

Walking to his side, Yasu checked the injured man. He could see blood flowing out of the man's abdomen, so he enveloped the injured area with his Ice Magic to staunch the bleeding. After creating an Ice wheelbarrow, Yasu put Gray's body on it and carried him to the cavern.

4 hours later

When Gray opened his eyes, he was surprised to find himself in a bed. He remembered that the hateful Gorian had successfully ambushed him, so he distanced himself with a quick dash. Next, he concentrated all his Magic in his hands to create a giant lance made of Ice with his Magic. He aimed it toward the monster, effectively killing it. After that, he fell unconscious as darkness overtook him. Gray quickly recovered from his daze as he saw a teenager entering the cavern. Although the boy's clothes were dirty, with a lot of cuts and wrinkles. Gray believed that with a decent attire and haircut, the boy would be a lady killer. He seemed like a cold person and gave an intimating pressure, so he decided to keep that for himself.

After 4 hours of cleaning his Asauchi, Yasu decided to return to his cavern and wait until Gray wakes up. When Yasu entered the cavern, he saw that the man had already woke up and was curiously observing his home.

"How are your wounds ?"

Hearing this, Gray looked at his right abdomen and saw Ice covering his wounds. He wasn't aware of it because he doesn't feel the cold due to his training in the past. However, Gray could perceive that the Ice wasn't like regular magic. He widened his eyes in shock when he noticed that it even closed his wounds. The most surprising thing was that the Ice's structure was more stable and seemed even stronger than his Ice-Make Magic.

As a competitive person, Gray wanted to see how his magic could contend against him. So, he got out of the bed and stood before Yasu saying "Yo! Thanks for saving me! My name is Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail...Your Ice magic is very interesting. It's even stronger than mine...Do you mind fighting me? Don't worry though, I have already recovered. "

Like Gray, Yasu wanted to know how his Ice King could do against him using only his magic. Up until now, he had only fought against weak opponents. Besides, Yasu felt excited at the idea of fighting a person with "similar" strength to his own. Surprising Gray, Yasu showed him one of his rare smiles as the aura around him increased in intensity.

"You can call me Yasu Gushiken...I am not in a guild...I am a battle junkie and also want to test myself against a strong opponent so there is no way that I would refuse such an offer."

Gray blinked his eyes a few times in stupefaction. He thought that the boy before him was an expressionless person. Now that he paid more attention, Gray could see hints of loneliness in Yasu's eyes before thinking in his head ("This guy also had a tragic past like us...").

Showing a friendly smile in return, Gray said " So you're not in a guild huh...Although your magic is stronger than mine you shouldn't underestimate me~"

After that, both walked out of the cavern and immediately prepared themselves for the fight that would begin soon enough. The two youngsters had an excited expression on their faces.
