1 1st Path - Second Chance

"Ugh, Where am I?"

One boy said as he looked around. He couldn't seem to remember anything as if his memories were wiped clean, he had basic knowledge like his likes and dislikes but he couldn't remember who he was.

'Weird' He thought to himself.

Looking around the boy was shocked to see that he was inside a white room reminiscent of that of a room in an insane asylum.

'Don't tell me… I'm crazy or something?' He questioned before he broke out in laughter.

"Hahahahahaha, no that would be stupid" He reassured himself.

"What would be stupid?" A voice suddenly rang in his head and asked.

"AAAH!" He yelped.

"WHO?!" He said as he looked around the totally white room.

"Calm yourself boy, I mean you no harm" the said once again resounding in his head.

"If so then where are you? How can you prove your claim?" The boy asked as he remained guarded.

"HAHAHAHA! It's been so long since I've been treated like this!" The voice said loudly in his head causing the boy to clutch his head wincing at the pain.

"AAH!" He yelped in pain

"Oh! Shi- sorry, sorry, my bad" the voice said. "Anyway, I mean you no harm as I am a God you see, but not just any god, I am the God of Dreams and Adventure. My name is Felkis, though I have come to tell you that you have died."

"Hah?" The boy questioned

"You died, y'know perished? Killed. Game over. Life gon-"

"OKAY! I get it" The boy said as he interrupted Felkis.

"So what now? Am I going to the afterlife? Heaven,Hell, purgatory?" He asked

"Nope you are getting reincarnated...well more like transmigrated" Felkis said.

"So a second chance huh"

"Yup, but I am also here to give you a few gifts for compensation," Felkis said.

"Compensation? For what?" The boy asked.

"Uugh…well um… ya see, it was us Gods that caused your death" Felkis said awkwardly.

"...Alright"

"Eh? That's it, aren't ya supposed to be pissed or somethin'?" The god said with surprise evident in his voice.

"Nah, why should I? What's done is done anyway" The boy said nonchalantly. "So… about these gifts"

"Ah- right. So from your records of your previous life you were an avid fan of anime's, manga's, and novels. So us Gods decided we would give you three things, two abilities from the last anime and manga/manhua/manwha and one random ability"

"...really. Why does it sound like a shitty fanfiction idea?"

"... anyway shall we get started?" Felkis asked as the boy nodded.

"Great now let's see here… your last anime you watched was… Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.. As for manga… you last read Katekyo Hitman Reborn!… "

"FMA and KHR huh" The boy said as he started to recall information about those two franchises.

"So, what do you want? You can choose what ability you want from KHR and FMA" Felkis said.

"Hmm.. from KHR… I want the Six Paths of Reincarnation ability of Mukuro and as for Fullmetal Alchemist..." The boy said pausing.

"Could I get an ability and alter it or does it nah?" The boy asked

"What do you mean to alter it?" The god questioned

"Like if I were to choose alchemy could I alter it for the kind that only those that seen the 'truth' could use? As in alchemy without a transmutation circle or do I need to lose something important to me as well?"

"I see, so that's what you mean. Unfortunately rules are rules, you can only get the power if you follow the same principles of the actual plot of the fiction it's from. Since in the anime it said only those that have seen the 'truth' and lost something of equivalent exchange could use it, to use that branch of alchemy, you as well need to make a sacrifice"

"I see…" The boy muttered as he sighed. "If that's the case then forget it, I don't want to lose anything important like limbs, organs, or senses. Just give me the Ultimate Eye that Bradley had"

"...Very well, though same reason from the last explanation. Gaining the Ultimate Eye will turn you into a pseudo homunculus but as a favor of the gods, we will give you the ability to have children" Felkis said as he sweated a little. 'Not to mention the Goddess of fertility and birth was also one of the reasons you died'

"Alrighty you will get them once you are transmigrated, now for the last ability" Felkis said as a wheel of fortune suddenly appeared in front of the boy.

"Now spin it"

Doing as told, the boy spun the wheel and saw that it landed on the ability [Dimensional Travel]

"OH, dimensional travel. Well aren't you lucky, you could traverse through dimensions. Well I guess it is fate, afterall I the God of Dreams and ADVENTURE had blessed you for a great journey" Felkis said.

"Well then, it was nice meeting you boy. Ja ne~" As soon as he said that the voice faded as his vision grew black.

Once the boy reincarnated Felkis had sighed in relief as he appeared in the room that was once occupied by the boy. If was actually a room in an insane asylum for the boy was a crazed serial murderer. Though it was actually because of the gods that he ended up a killer in the first place.

"Damnit, next time we HAVE to make sure not to try to get the God of Madness drunk" Felkis said.

The reason for the boy's demise was because of a certain party of the gods. One of the gods that had attended was a God of Madness not to mention also being a God of Death who couldn't hold his alcohol. The other gods(who were drunk at the time, Felkis included) persuaded said god to drink.

To say the aftermath was terrible was sugarcoating it. After getting drunk the god had then cursed several people(Mortals) with unique curses. Said curse turns them into a person consumed by their own madness, what's worse since the god was also a god of death, he filled their minds with concepts and ideas of death. And thus insane people whose thoughts were filled with death roamed the mortal world of course becoming murderers. The only good thing was most of the cursed people had at least committed a horrible crime or act before being cursed that could warrant them a front row ticket to the deepest pits of hell.

Because of those crimes before they were cursed, the gods had immediately banished them to hell. The only exception being a boy, he had done no crime or act that could banish him to hell when he was yet to be cursed. Because of that the gods could not touch him, there was a rule for the gods that made it so they have to watch their mistakes play out. If one were to try and do something about it, they would be met with divine intervention. So they were forced to watch as the mortals dealt with it.

The gods felt even more guilty as they used an artifact to check what the future of the boy would be like if he were not affected by the curse. It had turned out that the boy who would eventually cure some of the world's worst sicknesses and diseases.

Thus all the gods came up with a solution to give the poor lad a second chance. Though what worried them was that the curse still lingered within the boy's soul. They could only hope that the boy could control and hold the urge to mindlessly murder back.
