"I… can't believe. You're alive! You're alive…"

At this moment, a woman is hugging Ao while her tears are falling.

This woman's name is Miyako Ishida.

However, that is her name before she remarried to Ao's family.

She currently using the surname <Hoshie> instead of <Ishida>.

Aoto's father (age: 28) and Miyako (age: 27) met when they were both down in life.

Aoto's mother just died and Miyako got divorced.

That's why when they met each other at a party, there was a sudden click that made them feel sympathy for each other.

Being played by destiny, this sympathy turns to love until a year later, they remarried each other.

Unfortunately, another year passed and Aoto's father died when a truck hit him.

Aoto is still 7 years old at that time so she raised him with love.

She told to herself to not let him feel alone and be by his side whenever he need.

However, yesterday, the 17 years old, Aoto commit suicide by letting a truck hit him, the same reason why his father died.

Until now, she couldn't understand why he had done that, however, what is important in the present is he's still alive.

"Ao… Ao…"

Feeling the hug and her head pat, Aoto couldn't help but cry.

He doesn't know why but being sympathized and loved by someone feels his burden lessen a bit.

Some minutes later, they calm down and Miyako is currently talking with the doctor outside of the room.

He sighs.

It's been a while since he cried but he didn't expect that a stranger can do that.

He doesn't know who that woman is but the love she has for him is genuine.

Motherly love to be exact.

'Is she my mother? But our looks are different.'

He thought while holding a mirror.

'So where am I now? I know that I'm in the hospital but—arghhh!!!"'

While trying to remember what happened to his last world, for some reason, he felt that his head is getting cracked into two.

After a minute, this feeling dissipates but he felt that he need to remember it so he try again and he felt that his head is getting split again so he stop it again.

At this moment, he doesn't have any memories about himself but he knows that he came from a different world but trying to remember those worlds and what is done there is hurting his brain so he decided to stop it for today.

Now, another problem rise.

'Who is she again?'

He doesn't have the memories of his current body so he is somewhat problematic about how he will associate her.

In the end, he goes to cliche route <I have amnesia>

After talking with the doctor, Miyako wanted to talk with Aoto but seeing his eyes like he is looking at a stranger, she felt something ominous.

"Hey, Aoto. Do you remember me?"

"Aoto? So that's my name. I'm sorry ma'am but I don't know who you are."

Her left hand trembles but she holds it with her right to calm down.

She thought to herself that what mattered is he was alive.

With a gentle smile, she said, "I'm Hoshie Miyako. I'm your step—"

She pause a bit and thought that If she can change her status, even a lie, he might call her his mother.

"I'm your mother."

She continued.

Ao is confused but didn't show this.

They don't really look like after all.

'Maybe, my father's blood dominated my DNA, and her hug earlier…'

He decided to accept it since it makes sense from this perspective.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't remember you but your hug earlier tells me that you're really important to me. Thank you, Mother."

Despite her calm expression, inwardly, she wanted to jump for joy.

'He called me mother! He called me mother! For ten years, he recognized me as his mother!'

Blind by the fact that he can't remember her, she is happy that she might die earlier.

"I'm gonna call the doctor again."

She said while walking away.

Ao left speechless but let out a smile because he felt that she is excited like a child.

He doesn't know why she is like that but at least his problem is already solved.
