Bloodlust!

A few days later, without any true warning, exams fell on top of the group.

Fanzer and Jumin already went their separate ways from Asami and Kotone, with the two boys both heading into their chattering class and sitting down.

"Damn, I completely forgot to study last night! Asami and I were up all night playing some old games...." Jumin groaned as he wiped the exhaustion out of his eyes.

"Jay... why can't I say I'm surprised?" Fanzer sighed, shaking his head from side to side.

"Well, if that's the case, did you study?!" Jumin asked, turning in his seat and facing Fanzer.

"Yep. Kotone came over last night and we did some light studying. It really did help," Fanzer grinned, 100% lying to Jumin. He lightly swiped his finger over his nose, his smile never seeming to fade.

It took the supermodel a moment, but his eyes went wide.

"No... no way. You're joking, right?" Jumin's mouth hung open as Fanzer silently nodded.

Jumin's mouth curved into a wide and proud smile, wearing the expression proudly before pounding his fist into his chest and nodding to his friend.

"My boy! You are now a man! It feels like it was only yesterday when we were meeting and now," Jumin sniffed dramatically, "Now it's like you're a grown man! I'm so proud!"

Before Fanzer's best friend could continue, their teacher arrived in the room and the class fell to silence.

"We'll talk later," Fanzer spoke, causing Jumin to give him a quick nod and focus on the daunting task at hand.

"Today is the first day of the exams."

-----

Emma was taking the exam as well, but her mind was completely elsewhere. Her mind was on something else, someone else.

Her mind was on Fanzer as her pencil absentmindedly glided against her exam paper.

"First I just wanted to use him. His intelligence was what I'd use, then, I'd throw him away and move on. It's what I thought boys were useful for. Well, most of them weren't useful for their brains anyways."

"Then, I went to sleep and couldn't get him out of my head. It's like I realized he was the one. No, he is the one. He is mine. But that also means I must be his, yes. I'll kill them, for him," A grin slowly started to form on Emma's face as she gripped her pencil tighter.

"Every boy I've talked to or thought about this school year... and that starts with Jumin. Yes, he'll be the beginning of my cleansing so that I'm perfect for Fanzer! I'll make sure he's cleansed for me as well, by stopping that girl from hogging him to herself! Yes, I can truly keep him safe and to myself if I pull him away from those who don't want to keep him safe."

"His family is more important to him than I am? He truly doesn't understand that we're destined for one another. It's okay, he'll know the truth after he realizes I've saved him from everyone else who wants to take him away from me. Even that whore is brainwashing him, but she'll learn soon enough that Fanzer's mine," She let out a small giggle, uncaring of the small looks she gained from people around her.

"Yes... Fanzer is mine."

"Well live together, just the two of us and nobody will ever be able to split us apart. We will truly be in love, no, we already are in true love!"

"I can see it in his eyes, he truly does love me! I'll kill anyone who prevents us from being together!"

The day ended and the two friends were slowly making their way back home. Asami had joined them and they all were incredibly quiet.

The sounds of the city raced all around them as they walked tiredly.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Jumin spoke.

"I'm so tired after exams... and we have two more days of this," Jumin groaned as he wiped his eyes.

"It's like the final boss in the middle of the game, brutal...." Asami agreed, slouching even more as she walked alongside Jumin.

"This is ridiculously hard...." Fanzer sighed, rolling both of his wrists in circles.

"Wait wait wait! I almost forgot! You didn't fill me in! What happened?!" Jumin suddenly perked up, the conversation that he and Fanzer were having at the beginning of the day flooding back into his mind.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" Asami questioned, leaning in to see what the two friends were talking about.

"Well...." Jumin gave Fanzer a look to make sure he approved of his actions, and Fanzer gave him a light nod of assurance.

"Basically Fanzer, my good friend Fanzer, did 'it' with Kotone," Jumin whispered into Asami's ear, receiving a loud gasp from her.

"No way! I mean, she might be scary, but she's still crazy hot. She's good enough to be a model, and she has a rapidly rising amount of fanboys. She's also mysterious while attracting a lot of attention from people. She's also in the track team, and helps our school win in every tournament that she cares to compete in. All of that...." Asami dragged on as she lightly gestured to Fanzer, who was slowly seeming to lose more and more energy as she went on, "And while I would say it's crazy she let you hit, I can sorta believe it."

"If Jumin's proud, I am too! Gimme five!" Asami cheered and gave Fanzer a high-five.

"Okay, now is the time to fill us in on any of the sweet details!" Jumin clenched his fist excitedly, as Asami nodded in agreement.

"Okay okay... Still, I can only say so much. She's still my girlfriend after all," Fanzer warned, causing his two listeners to nod understandingly.

"Of course, we don't want to be disrespectful, but still... Tell us!" Asami giggled, gaining a small sigh from Fanzer before he began.

"It all started with a kiss..."

"So you knew Fanzer when he was younger?" Kotone asked, receiving a nod from Mary as they walked through the quiet city.

They were heading towards Mary's home for a little bit more supplies in order to properly help Kotone achieve her goal. The city was beginning to get quiet as the night approached, but neither girl seemed to mind very much.

"Yeah, we were pretty close when we were younger. We used to be neighbors, but then I moved away, and we eventually stopped talking," Mary shrugged.

"Since he grabbed your attention, I'm assuming he's doing well?" Mary asked, gaining a happy laugh from Kotone.

"Yes, he's doing very well! I know ever since I met him I've been having the greatest time of my life," Kotone admitted, gaining a small giggle from Mary.

"Wow, when he and I would still talk he would always say that he would never date a girl because they were gross. At the time I thought he was admitting something that he didn't know, but I guess I was wrong. It's nice to know that things have changed," Mary let out a light sigh, ignoring the blonde woman passing by.

Kotone however, could not. She was oozing an aura of bad intentions, an aura of bloodlust. In all her years of learning to properly fight she was carefully taught how to identify someone else's intentions, and right now she knew it couldn't be anything good.

"It's not directed at me anyways. It's all over the place, so if I'm careful, I won't have to interfere with anything," Kotone noted, nodding at Mary's comment without missing a beat.

There was a silence for a moment, only the tapping of their feet filling the silence. Now less cars were passing and even less people were around.

"You're a third-year, aren't―" Mary was interrupted by Kotone softly grabbing her wrist and stopping. Mary was surprised into silence until Kotone spoke up.

"Hey Mary, is there normally many people out around these times?" Kotone Endou asked, causing her acquaintance to suddenly become hyper aware of her surroundings.

Once she became aware, she noticed it, a few dark figures scattered around. One, three, seven, eleven. She counted them as her heart began to thump erratically.

"No, there shouldn't be many people out. Why...?" Mary nervously began, only to stop when Kotone lightly shook her head.

"Where's your home?" Kotone asked, and Mary was quick to respond.

"It's down the street, not very far from here," Mary pointing towards where her house would be.

"Let's hurry up and head there. It's better than being out in the open," Kotone slowly began walking again, as if nothing had changed.

Unfortunately, it didn't make a big difference in the end.

The dark figures started moving. At first it was slow, but it slowly evolved into a quick sprint of shadows.

Soon, several of them were in front of the girls, then behind them, and soon enough, surrounding them.

"...What do you want?" Kotone spoke up first, looking all around. Mary had gotten close to her, clearly nervous about the situation.

However, they made no effort to answer, simply standing ominously around the two.

"No response, huh? Either way, they don't seem too scary. The main problem comes from their numbers. I've also got to watch Mary, so this is much more defensive than offensive. Tch, this isn't fun," Kotone clenched her teeth, letting out a light sigh.

"You're the whore my Lover has to deal with? I feel sorry for him," A woman's spoke as she walked out from behind the shadowy figures. Two of them that were in front of Kotone and Mary parted slightly to give the woman enough space to walk into the circle.

It was the blonde woman Kotone noticed earlier. It was Emma.

"I thought the bloodlust wasn't directed at me. Did she do that on purpose?" Kotone didn't dare to underestimate her opponent and began readying herself for a fight.

"And who exactly are you?" Kotone questioned, letting off more nonchalance than she had.

"I'm Emma, Fanzer's true love," Emma smiled, licking her lips as Fanzer came to mind.

"Who's this nut? Do you know her?" Mary asked Kotone, only receiving a small shrug in response.

"I'll keep this brief since I don't have much time to spare for waste of spaces like yourselves. Die," Emma threw out a knife that quickly flew towards Mary's eye.

Right before it hit, Kotone barely grabbed it from the air, cutting open her hand.

Mary was stunned so much that she couldn't even speak. Her mouth opened but nothing came out. She was confused, scared, and anxious, and Kotone could understand them all.

"Don't be scared. We'll be fine," Kotone spoke, spinning the thrown knife around and taking a proper hold on it.

Blood dripped onto the ground as Kotone pulled herself together, readying herself for more of a fight than she expected.

"This'll be quick."
