CHAPTER 15

1st FLOOR DRESS SHOP - DAY.

"We're here! This is where I bought my clothes before. Feel free to take your time and pick out any dresses you like," Ren cheerfully suggested to Luna.

Then, out of nowhere, a friendly female receptionist appeared, greeting them with a warm smile. "Good day, Sir! How can I assist you? Any particular preferences you have in mind? We have both ranked dresses and non-ranked dresses for both male and female. We also sell some other necessities like shoes, bikinis, and other stuff."

"Yes, we're looking for dresses. But please assist her in selecting dresses that aren't too revealing and look good on her, and also the other necessities that she might need. I will select my own," Ren instructed the receptionist before moving to browse for his attire.

"Madam, if you'd accompany me, I'd be happy to show you a range of wonderful options that I believe you'll find appealing," the receptionist said politely, adhering to Ren's request.

~[30 MINUTES LATER]~

"These dresses seem quite fantastic! They even come with self-cleaning and self-repair features. I must say, all of this sure looks badass. Also, I think I need some weapons since I'm currently unarmed. Well, I will buy some after this is done," Ren thought to himself, genuinely impressed by his own choices.

He decided on three T-shirts—black, white, and gray in color—along with stylish black pants boasting plenty of pockets. He also picked two long black coat-like jackets with hoodies on the back, and a cool black Japanese Oni face half-mask that covers half of his face, from below the eyes to below the chin. Additionally, he selected a pair of black sneakers.

All these items had auto-repair and auto-clean capabilities. Only the Oni mask was F rank, while the jackets were G(+)-rank. Everything else was of G-rank quality.

The Oni mask was adjustable; it can grow based on the face shape and size and also has a magnetic and adjustable option that fits perfectly on the face without needing ties. The G(+) rank jacket has the same feature, just that it doesn't have the auto-magnetic option as there is no need for it. All of these are pretty convenient, but sadly, they don't give any stat boosts.

With his choices in hand, he headed to the counter to complete his purchase. There, he saw Luna engrossed in a friendly chat with the receptionist. It's hard to tell she was just a wolf in the forest a few hours ago, as she acts just like any ordinary person. This confused Ren a bit. But he didn't put much thought into it, as no matter what he asks himself, he wouldn't get the answer, so why bother trying.

"I thought I'd be waiting longer, but I seem to be the late one now," Ren quipped with a grin as he approached Luna. Her face lit up when she heard his voice.

"Master, look at the dress I found, they are all beautiful! I selected a dress, shoes, and some other things. It fits perfectly, plus it has self-repairing and self-cleaning. But she said, the dress was G(+) rank and the shoe was G rank, and the rest are unranked items," Luna exclaimed excitedly, proudly showing off her selections.

She was currently wearing the dress she just bought and was holding the coat Ren provided her before; it looks like a flattering red dress that struck a balance between elegance and modesty. It was comfortable and beautiful without being overly tight or revealing.

The receptionist saw that Ren was looking at Luna for quite some time, even though Luna also noticed, but she is quite dumb sometimes, as it's her first time outside the jungle. She doesn't understand what others around her are thinking.

Quickly the receptionist interjected with a smile, "Sir, what do you think? She chose all of these herself."

Hearing her words made Ren come back to his senses, and he quickly replied, "Yes, she looks absolutely stunning. Great choice, Luna."

Blushing a little, Luna replied shyly while she was wagging her tail, "Th-Thank you, Master." Her master's compliment caught her off guard, causing her heart to race, as she had never received a compliment in her entire life.

Seeing that look on her face made Ren speechless, as he couldn't comprehend how someone can be this cute. But he quickly controlled his emotions and returned to normal.

"Alright, let's get everything packed. What's the total cost?" Ren asked the receptionist casually, trying to shift the conversation in a different direction. The receptionist then looked at all the items and calculated the price using her phone.

"The total is 4500 K.P., sir," the receptionist answered professionally. Without wasting any time, Ren transferred the K.P. using a handshake, a common transaction method inside the tower. The receptionist was shocked by his quick payment, as she was expecting bargaining. And now felt a bit guilty.

"Actually, Sir, all these cost only 4150 K.P., 300 K.P. for Madam's G(+) rank dress, 200 K.P. for her shoes and 50 K.P. for her other things, and all of your dress and items are around 3600 K.P. I mentioned 4500 K.P. because I thought you would bargain the price. I apologize for the confusion; you can take back the extra money you just gave me," the receptionist admitted, sounding regretful and guilty.

Ren was genuinely impressed by her honesty, as there are very few honest people in this tower, and everyone is on another's back just waiting for the right moment to stab. So seeing such an honest woman like her is rare.

Ren responded, "Consider it a tip for assisting Luna and for being honest."

After finishing the payment, Ren and Luna quickly left the shop with their bags of items. The receptionist was left astonished. She expected a different reaction after attempting to overcharge, yet she received a generous tip instead. She couldn't help but feel a bit remorseful that she couldn't express her gratitude to the kind man who had given her this much tip.

"I should inform my boss about this. She'll be intrigued to learn about such wealthy individuals on the first floor who can afford to spend on luxury items which don't even have any stats buff or skill to power them up like any normal weapons or items. Most people avoid buying dresses like these, which are only used for luxury," the receptionist mused before dialing a number on her phone.
