Sarah and Michael lay on the ground, catching their breath. They had made it out of Ravenswood, but they were far from safe. Sarah could feel her heart racing, and she knew that they weren't out of danger yet.
"What was that thing?" she gasped, looking up at Michael.
He shook his head, his eyes wide. "I don't know. But we have to keep moving."
They got up and started to walk, their eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of the creature. But it was like it had vanished into thin air.
They walked for what felt like hours, their steps growing slower and more labored with each passing minute. They were tired, hungry, and scared.
And then they heard it. A low growl, coming from somewhere in the darkness.
They froze, their hearts pounding in their chests. The growling grew louder, and they could hear something moving towards them.
Sarah felt like she was going to pass out. They had just escaped one monster, and now there was another one chasing them.
"Run!" Michael shouted, grabbing her hand and pulling her along.
They ran as fast as they could, but they could feel the creature getting closer. Sarah could hear its breathing, hot and ragged, right behind them.
And then they saw it. A pair of glowing eyes, shining in the darkness. The creature was right on top of them.
They ran faster, their feet pounding on the ground. But it was like they were running in slow motion. The creature was gaining on them, and they didn't stand a chance.
Just when Sarah thought it was all over, she heard a sound in the distance. A loud, piercing howl.
The creature stopped in its tracks, its ears perked up. It turned around and disappeared into the darkness.
Sarah and Michael collapsed onto the ground, gasping for air. They looked at each other, their eyes wide with disbelief.
"What was that?" Sarah whispered.
Michael shook his head. "I don't know. But we have to keep moving. We can't stop until we're safe."
They got up and started to walk, their eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of the creature. But it was like it had vanished into thin air.
They walked for what felt like hours, their steps growing slower and more labored with each passing minute. They were tired, hungry, and scared.
And then they heard it again. The growling, low and menacing, coming from somewhere in the darkness.
