"Mask of Beauty, Heart of Pain"

(Y/N) was dancing at her cousin's wedding when suddenly she felt a pain in her belly. She went out of the crowd; they were all cheering her name, and she was like the star of the wedding. But some people there didn't seem to be pleasant with her actions. As soon as she felt the pain and wanted to get off the stage, she noticed some people staring at her with utmost disgust. (Y/N) did not understand why someone saw her like that. Anyhow, she managed to get off the stage and went to her room. There was no one there; she was sweating because she was on her period and having bad cramps. With each cramp, she felt like she would die.

As someone opened the door, (Y/N) was lying in a fetal position. She turned to the source of the voice and saw her cousin. They both were surprised, and at the same time, they said, "What are you doing here?" Her cousin seemed to be uncomfortable, and the same disgust she noticed before was in his eyes, as if she were some kind of disease and should be prevented from getting too close to him. She was having pain, but she had no time to think about anything else. She asked her brother politely, "Do you need anything?"

She thought maybe she is having cramps, that's why everything seemed to hate her. Why would her cousin make that face? Although they had only met three times in their lives, and every time, he was not so close, but he was gentle and polite with her. All kinds of random thoughts seemed to be coming to her so she could forget about her pain.

Her cousin angrily said, "You are in my room, and what are you doing here?" (Y/N) seemed to forget something; she went into the wrong room, how could she do that? She abruptly stood and said, "Sorry" to him, "Sorry, brother, I was having a bad time and not feeling well, so I didn't recognize it was your room." She was standing at the side of the bed, and he smirked.

"You are having a bad time? I don't think so. You were having a pretty good time with the guys who are all older than you and younger than you. You were looking like..." He paused, "I don't want to say any bad words that would humiliate you, so you should go now."

(Y/N) was having pain, but what he said was like a heart attack. She wanted to dig a hole and bury herself, but she was not a very good girl; if someone gave her one thing, good or bad, she would return it tenfold. She laughed maniacally, "Who the hell are you to tell me this?"

Hammdan was shocked, but he didn't express any emotion; he was observing her so he could see her true colors. "What's wrong with my dancing with my own brothers? They are all my brothers," she said firmly.

"Brothers don't make me laugh. Your brothers are fighting over their little sister, whom she'll get married to first, even married and bachelors. What do you think the commotion you have caused? You know what you have done? You totally ruined someone's happy life by your actions," he said, which was another shock to (Y/N). She is the proud daughter of her parents, intelligent, but they say beauty is a curse, something similar going to happen to her. "What did you say? Whose life I ruined? Care to explain, big brother?" she said with fire in her eyes.

He pinned her to the wall; her back hurt, but she did not care at that moment. "You guess," he said with the most furious and disgusted eyes. "What are you talking about? Tell me directly."

"My sister's life, you have ruined. Her husband was eyeing you, and he fought with her on a daily basis so she could get a divorce, and he could finally propose to you."

With cramping pain, her heart ached; she was sinking down after hearing this. "Impossible, I never talked to him."

"You and your beautiful face are causing trouble. Don't you think so? I don't see any charm. But here, look what I see in you." He held her chin high, staring directly into her eyes, as if he was watching through her soul.

She was not weak, but she was also not so strong, and the situation she was in right now was more likely torture to her. She wanted to speak for herself, but what could she say? She was indeed at fault, this was what she was thinking. She was blaming herself once again, without even thinking she is not at fault. She did the courage and said, "You are accusing me of something I would never do. I've always respected you, but what you did today, I will never forgive." She was fuming with anger, but her heart did not lie; her eyes were telling the truth to someone blinded by what he was seeing.

"You would not forgive?" He held her arm tightly, so much that she could feel the pain through her bones. "Ahh," she hissed in pain, but Hammdan was not going to let her go. He was an animal, hurting someone who was innocent, and he added, "You know your dear brothers? They all have lust in their eyes for you. Don't tell me you are so innocent that you don't know. Girls like you wanted to gain everyone's attention; you are just an attention seeker. You see, I can give you even more attention; I have everything. Not a bad deal, right? What do you think?"

She slapped him and wanted to run away from him, from his words, and from this world. She never thought there would be a time where she would have to listen to someone who is crumbling her pride like garbage, who was treating her as a whore, who was treating her as an incurable disease. The slap did not even feel to him; he smiled and said, "You can go now, after humiliating her," he was giving her permission to go.

But how could she even lift her foot? The gravity seemed to be pulling her even more; her brain was screaming, "Die, just die. You are the reason for everyone's bad luck." The brothers she thought were covered in lust; everyone just wanted her as their mistress. A girl, how strong would she be, but under the betrayal of her brothers, she could see nothing but darkness. Everything seemed to go blank; why is this happening to her? Why did she not do anything wrong? She was saying to herself.

She couldn't move as she tried to step up to walk; she saw nothing but darkness. Her mind went blank, and she fainted; her bleeding overflowed from the dress she just went through. Her clothes were bad, and there was blood on her cloth. How much he hated her; he carried her to the bed and called the maid. Since there was no one home, he could only call for the maid when she saw (Y/N) in this condition. She was shocked and a bit embarrassed from seeing her clothes.

"Wash her up and give her medicine," he said to the maid.

"What happened to her?" the maid asked.

"Nothing,

she just fainted from the excitement of her brother's wedding," he replied.

"Yes, hehehehe, she is like a little birdie who would fly over the sky. She just adores her brothers that much. She just tried herself from dancing and arranging everything for the marriage," she added. He didn't seem to pay attention to her and said, "You take care of her; I'll be outside."

The next day when she woke up, she was lying on his bed. Everything that happened to her, she was recalling everything like a movie; it didn't seem real. She must be having a real nightmare, a real bad one. But as she said, her voice was hoarse, like she had cried for a long time. She saw her face in the mirror; her eyes were swollen and were red like blood shooting from them.

The pajamas she was wearing, she did not put it on herself; who did? She opened her shirt button and saw the mark on her arm, left by one of her brothers. She was not seeing the mark on her arm; she was seeing the mark on her heart, the scar that was not supposed to be there. Once again, she started to cry over her misfortune. Everything she had was like a castle of sand; with a gust of air, it dropped. It dropped with her pride, with her self-respect, with the love she had for her brothers.

She did not have any siblings, nor did she have any brothers. But her dada, her dada said that they are all her brothers; they would protect her from bad guys. How come her own brothers became bad guys? They were supposed to fight with the monsters for her; how come they became the monsters themselves? She buttoned up while questioning herself; the door opened, and she knew who he was. The fire once again lit up the anger she had from tomorrow; once again, it appeared, and she remembered every word he said.

"Wake up, baby girl," he said with disgust in his eyes. "What's wrong with you? Why are you staring at me like a cheap disease? I did nothing wrong, nothing," she said while screaming to prove her innocence. She broke the vase that was on the table and threatened him; she would kill him; she would gouge his eye out. "I will make you suffer so much; you will regret everything you said and did."

He smiled and took out her phone just to show her a video of one of her brothers talking to another brother of hers. "What were they saying? They were saying she will be mine; I will make her mine. She always loved me. Who are you saying that she will marry you? Fuck off," they were fighting physically, fighting over her.

She could not see anymore. The broken vase had held; she pointed at herself to cut her wrist open; he grabbed the piece of the vase; both were holding it tightly; their blood was mixing and dripping on the floor. He slapped her hard and said, "Are you fucking crazy?"

"Yes, yes, I am," she went mad. She was crying and crying and crying; there was no stopping her crying. All people were going to come home around in three hours. He picked her up and tied a bandaid on her hand; he went outside and called, "Hello, uncle."

"Yes, son," the man replied with a polite and lovely way.

"Uncle, I have work outside the town, and (Y/N) is alone at home. She is insisting on going with me. Can I take her with me?"

"Oh, why? She was the most excited here, and now she wants to go with you?"

"Yes," he said, nothing.

"Okay, take her with you and take care of her."

"Okay, uncle, I will."

The man hung up the phone; he was (Y/N)'s dada, and he would do anything for his daughter. This was normal; she often insisted on going with her cousins; they sent her with them. She was at the peak of youth, and it was natural for every other to take a fancy to her. She was so beautiful, and she was going to be 18 soon. Everyone was waiting for her to turn into an adult so they could make her theirs.

Inside the room, she was still crying; he picked her up. She was startled and started to resist against him. "Let me go, what are you doing? Let me go, you bastard," she was throwing punches and slaps at him, but it was not going to stop him. He threw her on the front seat of the car and fastened her seatbelt, then drove off.

They reached a villa, a big one; he parked the car and said to her, "Come outside." She did not respond. "Come outside while I'm speaking nicely." She did not move. "You know what?" he raised his anger, "Come out, (Y/N)!" she was startled and came outside.

"Let's go, looks like your hearing went bad," she glared at him angrily.

"Don't worry; I have a cure for everything," he tightly grabbed her arm and took her to the kitchen. She was in pain, but her pride was saying to her not to show him her weakness. The dining table was full of food for two people. "Here, eat."

"I'm not eating," but she was hungry for two days, she did not eat anything, but there was ego; she would prefer to die hungry but would not eat with him.

"I said eat what I'm offering you nicely; you and I are alone." She understood what he meant, and she started to eat, never looking him in the eyes. But he was watching her like he would poke a hole into her. She finished her portion; he grabbed her from the arm and took her to the room. "You will be staying here; your clothes and everything are here. Call me if you need anything," he threw a phone on the bed; it was new. She slammed the door right before him.

"What does this mean? I was talking to you," he yelled.

"Fuck off," she said while cursing him. He went to the room next door, and she could hear the door closing sound. She took a shower of cold water and wanted to relax a bit.
