Ch 10: Agreement and Warning

{A/N: I would like to clarify that I am not a military expert, nor do I have any experience in writing about diplomatic meetings. So, if there are any mistakes, please bear with them. Additionally, I want to emphasize that everything written here is a product of my imagination. And as I said in the previous Chapter I will make Tempest an Intergalactic Civilization.}

---This Chapter is Written by Void-King---

Time: 15:30

During the same time when the National Diet is being held, another meeting is taking place in a separate place. The advisor to the Prime Minister, as well as the head of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is meeting with Princess Piña Colada and her knight, Bronze, along with the Tempest delegation led by Testarossa.

Princess Piña and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs talk about many things, including the treatment of the prisoners, who are soldiers of the Empire. Around 6,000 of them are being held captive in Japan.

The number of prisoners surprises Piña and Bronze due to the large size of the prisoners of war. They agree to return the prisoners, and in exchange, Princess Piña will act as a bridge for Japan and the Empire to have a friendly relationship.

With that agenda with the Empire concluded, Sugawara turns his attention to Testarossa and the Tempest delegation.

"I guess it's our turn, Princess Piña. I would like to ask both of you to stay here since our topic would also determine the relationship of our countries," Testarossa said to Piña, who was about to leave.

They remain seated, and with Testarossa's superior knowledge and experience in negotiation, she leads the meeting to their favor.

Rimuru's orders to her are quite simple: ensure that Tempest will get Japan under their wing at all costs.

"First of all, I would like to form a diplomatic relationship with Japan."

"We understand, and we would also like to form a diplomatic relationship with your country. But we would like to know more about your country. What kind of country are we having diplomatic talks with?" Testarossa nodded and pulled out documents from nowhere, which surprises Piña and even the Japanese Ministry. Testarossa ignores them and gives the documents to Moss, who was with them. Moss proceeds to distribute the documents to all of them.

"On these documents, you will find basic information about our country and a summary of our circumstances in the Lost World, or what you all called the Spatial Region."

As the Japanese and Princess Piña picked up the documents, Testarossa noticed several confused looks among them.

"Umm... Miss Ambassador," Foreign Minister Sugawara began, "We can't read this."

"Huh?" Testarossa was surprised and then remembers that people of Earth and the people from the Spatial Region do not possess the skill Language Compression. "Ohh, I apologize, I have forgotten that people outside of our world don't possess this skill."

They are confused about her words regarding the skill, but they decide not to speak about it.

Testarossa then puts a small round object in the middle of the table, and immediately, a 3D projection of a human appeared.

(Greetings! I'm an AI created to help people understand our country.)

The AI then projects a 3D display presentation, providing visual context about Tempest, with the AI explaining simple things about the nation. The Japanese and Princess Piña are fascinated by the technology display, and they are in awe and gasping in shock as they come to know what kind of country Tempest is.

For the Japanese, they didn't expect that Tempest is an advanced civilization with futuristic technology that only exists in fairytales. They also come to know that Tempest is an Intergalactic Empire that has multiple worlds under their colony.

For Piña and Bronze, the two of them could not believe that such a civilization exists. Now they feel that their proud Empire is nothing in front of a country that touches the vast space and has traversed worlds. For them, Japan is already out of norms, but Tempest is even more. It is a place that they would never reach during their lifetime. The technology they possess and the knowledge they have could all be considered the pinnacle of advancement and wisdom.

After the AI finishes explaining what Tempest is all about, the Japanese and Princess Piña are in shock.

"If I may ask, Miss Testarossa, what would Tempest achieve by building a diplomatic relationship with Japan? I mean, if Tempest wanted to, you all could just take over our country and even take over the world," Sugawara asks.

Shirayuri Reiko, the advisor to the Prime Minister, wanted to stop Sugawara from asking such a question, but even she was curious about what Tempest would achieve by forming a relationship with Japan. With their technology, they could just force Japan and Earth to their knees and take control over the world.

"Rest assured that our leader is a benevolent one. He does not take control over a world that doesn't do anything that will threaten us. As for what Tempest would achieve by forming a relationship with Japan, our great leader will have his birthland under his protection," Testarossa said honestly. She knows that Rimuru wanted to protect his birthland, and that is the reason why he said to form a relationship with Japan at all costs.

But, most importantly, she knows that Rimuru wanted to establish their presence in this sector of the Universe.

Ever since Tempest started traveling to space, Rimuru, or more specifically, Ciel, created something that would organize their fleet in the vast space. To do that, Ciel split the Universe into separate sectors that the Tempest Space Armada patrols.

And the sector which Earth belongs to is called Sector 2814. Out of the 5,920 sectors, the sector which Earth belongs to is one of the biggest, and the said sector doesn't have the presence of any spaceship from Tempest since it is also too far from the Central World, located in the center of the Universe, where all of creation started.

{A/N: I know, don't ask me about the logic of space. I'm not an astronomer.}

"I understand, Testarossa-dono, and I would like to ask for the terms of agreement between our nations," Sugawara said.

To summarize their talk with Japan, here is a list of their agreement:

• Japan and Tempest will enter an alliance that ensures the protection of the two countries. If one is attacked, it means it was also an attack on their allies.

• Exchange of knowledge and technology.

• Citizens from the two nations can travel between the two countries freely.

• Modernization of the Japanese Self-Defense Force.

• Tempest and Japan will grant each other land on which they can build a new gate and their embassies.

The talk didn't end there, as Testarossa also mentioned to Piña that if Japan's plans work, they would also like to form a relationship with the Empire and offer to help their economy grow and aid in their modernization.

"If I may ask, what kind of modernization are you talking about, Testarossa-dono?" Piña asked.

"I would also like to know what kind of modernization it is," Sugawara added.

"Hmm...then let's start with Japan. Since your world and technology resemble our technology from the past, we want to help Japan be capable of traveling to space. We will help Japan build spaceships and also build a ring around your sun, what you Earthlings call a Dyson Sphere. By doing this, Japan will have access to unlimited energy supply and will be able to build more advanced machinery that could also improve the lives of your average residents."

"Isn't that a bit too exaggerated? Furthermore, building a Dyson Sphere is just a fantasy dream for us," Sugawara said, aware that Earth's technology is far from achieving such a dream of harnessing energy from their world's parent star.

"But you see, it's not an exaggeration, Mr. Minister. Our country once used a Dyson Sphere to harness energy from our sun. But in just a few years, it was considered obsolete due to the introduction of the Mobius System," Testarossa explained, further surprising Sugawara since they considered the Dyson Sphere as obsolete by their world's standard.

"As for the Empire, we would like to achieve at least bringing the Empire to the same level as Japan is right now. Of course, we are aware of the production capability of the Empire, so we will need to lend a hand in production and construction of buildings and materials. But of course, this will only happen if the plans of Japan work," she added.

This also surprised Piña, who didn't expect that Testarossa believed they could make their Empire like the current Japan. The idea of the Empire transforming into a nation like Japan fueled her desire for peace and strengthened her resolve to form a relationship with Tempest.

With that, they ended their talks, and before leaving, Testarossa handed over a device from Tempest. The device functions as a smart device, the only difference being that this device is a small round button inserted on a wristband. When clicked, it projects an image that functions as a screen that can be swiped from left to right and can perform various tasks. It also has an AI assistance built-in.

This, however, is considered an antique by Tempest's standards.

After the Talking Testarossa Imidiatly Report back to Rimuru of their Agreement.

Deliberation ends at 16:40.

The Chairman is about to dismiss everyone in the National Diet Building when suddenly Rimuru speaks up.

"If I may, Chairman, I would like to speak for a few minutes," Rimuru said, and the Chairman nodded, capturing everyone's attention as Rimuru stood at the podium.

"Umm... I would like to give you all a warning, especially to the three world leaders from the USA, Russia, and China. This will be your only warning: Don't try anything funny towards us, and don't try to attack Japan. If you do, I will reduce your whole country to dust, and future generations won't know of your existence. Consider this my one and only warning, and it also applies to your allied nations... That's all," Rimuru said, stepping down from the podium. Everyone was speechless as they didn't expect Rimuru to issue such a warning to the three most powerful nations in the world.

The world was also in shock. Some dismissed it as propaganda, while others believed and were wary of laying a finger on Japan.

Even the leaders of other countries became worried about such a warning from Rimuru.

Meanwhile, Benimaru and Shuna facepalmed and sighed because they didn't expect this to be Rimuru's plan all along.

And Itami, well, let's just say that his soul almost left his body.
