A Taste Of The Past

Dave's Pov

"Accepted"

The flat lips let loose from the cleansing teeth, crippling the excitement that wanted to burst out. I watched as she titled her her hands on the contract book.

Her tricks were well aware to me, her take to one chance could have easily let down but the burden in the heart couldn't let me. Come what may I had a mission to complete, she was the link to what I wanted and I wasn't going to let her go so easily, even it it meant giving in to her demands.

"We get marry tomorrow " the compelled smile shadowed in darkness, taking her root to my seat she scowled her eyes "What's the rush?. I'm not getting marry tomorrow " she stated conquering her left leg on the right ,shifting her thin waist to a crook. My eyes attached on her curled hair that conceded to the straighten edge style, reaching to her chocolate eyes that stabbed me glares in request to respond to her comment. Taking every bit of her tantrum to my satisfaction.

"I'm getting marry tomorrow, you decide whether you want to be the bride or have someone else replace you" I said granting her a rest off her feet. I knew she was in dilemma and come what may her decision was to comply with my request , I'd what she needed and she wasn't gong to lose it.

"Fine, we get marry tomorrow" her tone went flat on the last word. "Good, Bullet will have you escorted home. Tomorrow we exchange our vows if that so you wish" her eyes gorged at me ,enraged her displeased with my comment of her take in the vows being exchanged the following day. "Ma" Bullet interrupted her angered lips that were about to spread in a second "the car is ready" he informed earning a hard glare from her, reaching for the door I watched as her pink dress faded from sight.

The second to hit was the silence walls, crawled in were the words of her voice itched the heart to dismay. "You have to help me clear my father's name" me help the same person I wanted to get vengeance on, clear the image I gladly set on flames. How was I to close the chapter I opened for my cause?.

"Mr. Stone" the skeptical tone cranked in , falling my gaze on my assistant May. "You have a visit from Thomas George, he wants to have a meet with you" I watched as her hand reached for the files in the portfolio she hooked in the other hand "And these are the documents you requested for" she hands them in.

May was my assistant for five years, her little words and quick brain made me appointed her for the position, she knew what to do and how set her eyes blind on scenes, her lips only spoke what she instructed to reveal. She was the fit for the position, she got everything planned on time.

"Have him sent in" I instructed getting a low bow from her, the steps of her heels stormed the tiles.

It was more exciting, the Black families themselves were approaching me and damn well I knew the reasons.

"Mr. Stone, your guest is here" May informed grabbing my attention, my hand froze on the bottle of wine, I turned to see the familiar eyes that had spiked hell in my breathe. His steps moved to the gestures of my fingers, without a word may made an invisible move .

"George" his name tastelessly dragged out, the same name I would have thought twice before calling on it own, or dared my eyes to fell on his head. The timid boy would keep the shoes for partners while being spoken to ,but there I was, ranking to his status and had the guts to face him in the eyes.

"When you told of your visit, I didn't expect it to be so sudden" my eyes entertained with his crippled gaze, his fingers jittered on his lap, a lazy smirk registered on my lips. The the thoughts of how gigantic he used to be in front of me. "No pressure " I soothed in "it just that my wedding is at the corner and I'd thought to spend the little hours I have to prepare on it" .

"Sorry to bother you Mr. Stone, it an important matter that's why I came in person " it felt good, to hear the same lips that had said I was nothing and would remain a dog begging for a bone pay a bow head to me, to hear him addressed me with respect. "What's so important that you couldn't wait till you're called on?"

"Your decision to marry Alice" he said.

I knew he would comment on it, to him he was being threaten with her being my wife and his position in the company would sank . To me it was what I intended on, I wanted to see them fight one another, to drive them aparts and bring their world to flames. "You know he's her daughter, she must definitely figure out the truth. Once she does she will ruined all we have worked hard for " the guts of him to claim what I'd worked for as a collaboration, of course I had the fact of her relationship with him. Steven Black, the hero and prideful man behind the success of the great Black empire, came crumbling in a blink of an eye all thanks to the sins he commented in the past.

His ego and pride.

"I know my niece very well, she would do everything in her power to crack the case of her dad's fraud, it won't be long before she figured out the truth"

"But that power would be mine, she would only know the truth if I let her to it. You have nothing to worry about your niece holds no threat" I wasn't stupid to understimate her. With first glance at her I saw potential, the will to bend anything to her favour. Unlike her father she was mild and simple but I only needed her to achieve my goals, I wasn't going to have her influence my course.

"George if that's the purpose of your visit, then I think it being served" he levelled on his feet and made a haste exit. Little were to say, he knew of the meaning.

"How dare you look at my daughter?, have you forgotten your place?. You're nothing but a servant and servants wipes the shoes of their masters, they don't egle their gaze on their masters daughter" the sound of my body crashing on the flooded ground reached the peak of my poor father, his hands came rushing on my aid.

"Mr Black please forgive him, he's just a child. I promise you he won't repeat the same mistake again" my father's kneels were on the sand stones, raising his hands to him in folded, he laid his head on his shoes.

"He won't repeat it that for sure, cause I won't let him. From this night on words you and your son do not work in this mansion and you're forbidden from ever stepping a toe in here" his voiced echoed in, with his orders the guards came trashing our bodies on the streets of his giant gate. My eyes stuck on the scene of his daughter being held by him, forbidding her from reaching me. Under the heartless cloud that poured out, my father and I clutched on each other, seeking warmth that wasn't handed to us.

"Mr stone" May's cut in, seizing the bitter memories. She hands in the flowers to me.

With my thighs weight levelled on the knees, I set the flowers on the tiled tab, engraved on the top was 'The late Andrew Salvador Stone,1955-2015'. I felt the rought touch of the tiles, holding the drops that wanted to bridge out, I gently plugged a leaf of the lilies, his favorite while living.

"You don't have to worry pa, I'll have them pay for your death. One by one I'll watch as they crumble and fall".

"The car is here"

There was going back, my mind was set on it, the Black empire was going to burn in flames, the empire that they valued most.

"The rings have being selected Mr. Stone, should I have them send to your bride?".
