The debt

Tess finally reached to the desk I was seated at .

" Hey " she said with a smile.

" Hi" I replied to her .

" Ain't you going for lunch " she asked me.

" Not really I have some work to finish ...how about you ? "

"Nope ...I'm full so I decided to stay and study" she said .

"Oh really "

" Yap... is she your girlfriend? " she said looking over to Jenny .

"Nah she's just..." before I could complete

"A friend " Tess completed with a smile on her face .

"Okay I thought you were together." she said

" It can't happen we are just friends. " Jenny confirmed.

"Great...see you around... Troy "she smiled at me turning to go.

Jenny hit my shoulder with a little blow and whispered to me "Give it to her ". At first I didn't understand what she was saying but then realized it later .

" Wait "I stopped her .

She immediately turned and said

"Yes Troy."

" I have something that belongs to you " I said handing her the pink book .

She was surprised " Where did you get it from ? " she asked me calmly .

" I thought I had lost it "

" I picked it that day " I said to her .

"Thank you...so much Troy...How can I repay you back " she said in joy .

" How about you be my girlfriend " I thought to myself .

" No need " I said putting aside my thoughts.

" I owe you Troy " she said with a smile and winked at me then turned and went back to her desk . I could see that she was happy .

I think that book was important to her .

" Yes... you are on the wright path now. " Jenny said .

" What do you mean ? " I inquired from her as I felt that she knew more about love than I did .

" I mean you are at good terms with her...she said she owes you so she will be talking to you everyday to try and make it up to you and I think she sticks on her words ...so now we gotta make her fall for you. " she explained her theory to me . Somehow it made sense to me and it seemed like a good approach.

" And why are you helping me ? " I asked her .

" Well...take it as a debt that one day you will have to pay " she said as her lips curved into a smile .

"Oh so now you are make debts ? " I asked her .

" Yap... anyway it's not like you have a choice you are clearly not good at this stuff...you need my help ." she said as she patted my back .

Jerome came back and while he was entering I noticed the way him and Amanda looked at each other . It was like that " I want you " look.

He came and sat on Jenny's desk while facing behind we conversed for a while before lunch was over. I noticed that Jenny and Jerome would quarrel over little things implying that they really cared about each other .

Time for the next lesson which was Geography came and was extremely long the teacher teaching it was so boring and finally it was over and it was time for going back home.

I moved with Jerome and Jenny up to the gate.

" Gotta go bro see you tomorrow have somethings I have to attend to at home so I can't walk with you today."Jerome said .

Before I could say anything Jenny said ,

"What things? ...I prefer to walk today "

" I will tell you when we reach home let's just take a cab " Jerome stated .

Seeing that Jenny's attitude had changed and she was about to snap at Jerome I said ,

"Yeah you guys take a cab I am also tired so I'm gonna take a cab anyway. "

"Alright it's settled ... come let's go Jenny " Jerome said grabbing Jenny's hand kind of in a hurry. She loosened her hand from his and said " Wait a bit ." looking at Jerome .

She came to me " Give me your phone number " she said getting out her phone.

I read it to her and she went over to Jerome and waved me Good bye then entered a cab which Jerome had already got .

I also decided to get a cab which dropped me straight home . I greeted Mom changed into casual clothes and cleaned my uniforms for tommorow. Helped mom with some work I had plenty of time since I had come from school early . School ended at 3:40 and I had reached home at 4:00.

It was soon turning dark so we went inside the house and we at food . After eating food it was around 8 :00 and I still has nothing to keep me busy so I decided to watch a movie . I wasn't a fan of Romantic movies as I used to watch only Action movies but today I tried it .

After 2hours the movie was completed so I went downstairs to say Goodnight to Mom.

I her eating .

" You are still awake " she asked me .

"Yap I was doing some work " I said to her although it was a lie it was the only way to save myself from being quarreled at for watching a movie instead of studying.

" Good night Mom "

" Good night "

I went upstairs to my room. I laid on the bed

and a message pooped on my phone.

" Hey chilly " I easily noticed who it was so I replied back .

" Hey "

"Not yet asleep ?"

" Nope just finished watching a movie "

" And which movie is that ?"

" After "

" ooh didn't know you like romantic movies "

" I don't it was a one time thing "

" Really " .

We continued chatting until midnight and that's wen we stopped and said good night to each other . I put aside my phone and closed my eyes .
