Indian Train Journey!

Oh! I love train journeys. Yes, I love them like heaven and back to earth only because I get to meet people learn something new and can have funny and weird experience at the same time. And this time is no exception.

Finally we took the train that will take us to the Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. I was happy zappily reading Chetan Bhat's Half Girlfriend where I was constantly interrupted by my mom regarding all mixed stuff. Which made me to shut the book and talk to her, which went for few minutes and the clock ticked 7:00 PM as we boarded on a tour which had almost hundred people they had arranged food which arrived at the right time they specified on the brochure. I had dinner and then we continued our chit chat, called my dad and enquired about how's everything at house as he did not tour with us. I terribly missed his presence.

Then I decided to climb to my upper berth and start my happy and beauty sleep, which is so damn ultimately necessary as our train reaches super early morning. When I just had to put myself in a comfy position, there the train stopped seemed like a stopping not sure where the train was at or what's happening but I was sure it stopped at a station by the arrival of bunch of people, some had calm face and directed themselves to their seats, some were trying to figure out their seat and seemed like they did as there was less noise but there is this lady with her daughter, she was speaking Hindi and was not just speaking she was literally shouting at her daughter for booking upper berth. Her daughter erupted like a volcano (with her voice) explained to her mom that her seat number is 47 and it's lower berth. I quickly checked my seat number fearing she should not be next to me, oh no! My seat number is 46.

I was at the upper berth and she took side lower berth. Actually, she seemed to settle happily with her stuff and I came back to setting my position. Ah! I had an air pillow and a scarf and yes! My position is perfect. Me and sleep were almost nearing each other but we were interrupted by that lady again... she tapped my foot and

asked "yea aapke seat hain beta?"

Oh fish! What a question that was! In my brain my answer was

"Yo, lady I'm tryin to sleep here go away"

but I didn't tell her that because of the word "beta" so I decided to stay calm

and I said " Haan"

then best reply that I know in Hindi, and then I noticed her daughter standing next to her and looking right on my face, and I asked her "Is there anything you need help with?" and her brilliant daughter asked "where is the seat number 48?" Wow! I was like wow but I stayed calm, it's the upper berth right on top of your mom's. She thanked me and she seemed to be a person who sleeps at any position. But her momma ji, DIDN'T. She started making phone calls to some unlucky person from her phone contacts, but I just wanted to ignore and tried to get my beauty sleep where I was interrupted by the same lady but she didn't tap my foot this time, instead she was screaming on her phone (to that unlucky person on the other side of her phone)... also the way she guffawed must have terrified the whole compartment, I was super annoyed but I tried to ignore and get back to sleep which I succeeded eventually when the clock ticked four I just couldn't sleep and I woke up and realized few fellow others who tour with me were also awake and were talking in a mild voice, and I immediately looked at the lady she was sleeping. You have no idea how happy I felt. But, within minutes of me noticing she had just woke up and asked my fellow toured persons not to talk, because that disturbed her sleep. Argh! That annoyed me. By the time I noticed my dad was online and I called him we did talk for few minutes and we ended our conversation.

That lady again was calling me, this time no tapping she called me like...

"Shh.. baat mat karo!"

Oh, I understood that. She asked me to stay quiet. My god heavens, she was on her phone and sounded like she was talking to a person who resides at heaven and she had to talk loud but I talked to my dad for only five minutes with a lower voice, lady you ask me to stay quiet. I was super annoyed and told her

"Yeh, train hai... thumare ghar nahi"... she was super shocked and uttered something and she went back to sleep.

While I'm writing this she is snoring heavily which makes me think that... her voice sounded better than her snore!
